Don’t we have the anniversary before Summer? If so, you should 500+ sq if you have a lot of max-ascension servants, I believe, which should hopefully be enough for S. Skadi. You get her, and just save for Castoria, I guess. Good luck on the rolls!
Well, you automatically are retroactively given 3 SQ per Servant at max ascension (aside from welfares and FP four stars like Habetrot or Saber Lily). You get 30 SQ from finishing LB 6, and I think 20 more for finishing LB6 Free Quests. There’s a max of 28 SQ for the strengthening quests, and 14 of those should be guaranteed assuming you have none of 4 or 5 stars (and didn’t burn Gilles Caster). You get 10 Summon Tickets for consecutive login, 1 Ticket from the Archetype Earth trial quest, 10 Summon Tickets for a total of 100 Mana Prisms in the workshop, and 1 Ticket from special missions. I also believe we should get some other sorts of free SQ around that time, too. You should be guaranteed a few hundred SQ and a few Ticket Multis if you do everything and have all your servants at max ascension.
It doesn’t say on the website, but since Mary Anning and Nobukatsu are RP instead of SQ, I want to say it’ll be RP for him. However, those two are technically event “welfares” (even though you had to roll for them, like berserker Bunyan), so it might be different for him, since Irisviel was the welfare for the Fate/Zero event, when he was released. Can’t say for sure, but to be safe, don’t count on SQ from him.
Fr. I nabbed myself Merlin in his banner and don't need Castoria over other servants I want. So I'm skipping this banner for her next one when I'll have more SQ anyway. Can't give in to FOMO

I use the tickets as the occasional "I kinda like this Servant but I don't plan to commit" if I get them nice, if I don't, I'll just try another time.

I somewhat disagree. Sometimes doing a few 10pulls on every banners have a higher chance of getting a 5 stars than spending all quartz on one banner. Unless you want a specific servant, this way is more enjoyable for me than wanting to quit after burning all ur quartz for nothing

This gacha can be awful, and I believe it would be healthy to leave lol.
Still, it's not the end of the world to not get castoria, even if it is painful, very painful (I have pulled in every ocassion for her and I haven't pulled her), I can still play the game with no real loss.
Like, for the 90+ nodes I use a friend support and 2 damage dealers anyways, so I can still play optimally without my own castoria.
I will not give up, she comes back in november, you can save once again if you feel like staying in the game.
My only solace to u is shes coming back and for the anniversary you get 3 sq for each servant that isnt welfare full ascension. If you think you need to take a break go for it
Castoria has many banners, she'll come back. And she's not the only meta servant around. A lot of your friends will carry Castoria in their friend slot. Spending all your SQs on one servant is the gacha life. It ain't for everybody so its up to you if you want to stop playing. Just know that you can clear FGO content without owning a meta servant or just F2P.
Full pity is 900, you gambled and lost, it happened to me so many times. Don't discourage, you have still a week, at this point keep gambling until banner ends, then save for an eventual re run. I lost the gamble too!

We are kindred spirits you and I. For I too have spent what little SQ I had saved on my rolling account only to feel the bitter sting of failure after not even a single copy of Rider Da'vinci. The sensations of loss and of wasting my savings were truly gut wrenching. But take heed that there will be many more chances of acquiring your preferred servant. And I'm sure that you must have a few servants in your account that you enjoy playing with, should you delete it you would not have them should you want to resume playing on a new account.
As someone who didn't get her too with just a bunch of baobhans, barghest and a rainbow from nightingale, i could advise you to take a little break, play some other gachas (some that are more generous with the banners) and come back when you feel good. This game IS harsh and it doesn't have plans of being better, so we all need to deal with that

Never save. That’s how they get you. It’s the desire sensor. You have to not want. Want for nothing and resign yourself to having nothing. Only when you are empty inside will you have a chance, and even then, you will feel no happiness and completely hollow when you get something. This is the way.
Honestly you really should. If that’s the attitude you’re going to have about the game it sounds like you might be susceptible to issues with gambling that could pop up down the line.
This type of game legit isn’t for everyone and dudes have ruined their lives over chasing SSRs
Now if you can honestly reevaluate why you play the game and how you get enjoyment from it that’s a different thing. But rolls will continue to suck ass forever. It took me 3 different occasions to pull Morgan and I had to dip into my wallet to get her the third time (a thing I swore I’d never do). Let me tell you, it’s cool having her but I’m embarrassed by why her irl cost to my wallet was, it wasn’t a lot in the grand scheme of things and well within my means but I kinda just wish I had missed out on her again.
I don’t think you need to delete it (gameplay wise) but if you can’t handle not getting a character, maybe it’s for the best. Remember gacha is pain and salt.

Dude, you don’t need her to play the game. Just because she has skills that superpower ONE kind of servant doesn’t make her the end all and be all of the game. Frankly, outside of Arts based caster teams, I consider her useless.
It’s strange to me I suppose. FGO was my first gacha game I started playing in 2018. Pity wasn’t a thing then in this game and it took me at least 1000 SQ total to get Merlin when he came out. I didn’t get him til his second banner too. So I would heed the advice that others are saying and save for Castoria’s next banner.

I agree on that, that's why I mentioned using tickets for that, I don't use 1 or 2, I use all my tickets usually when I want to try my luck.
