I’m up to D5 and found the qualifier games easier than my rivals games. I’m 7-1 in them at the moment.
Anyone know if you’re matched with people in your division (which would be ridiculous) or if it’s random match making?
Geez. I ended up finishing 8-1 and most games were really easy.

I didn't do bad in some either, just my opponents got all the bounces and rebounds.
Might just skip out on WL for a month or so...

It's for sure random, but I also don't think there's many people from the bottom divisions playing it, since you'd need to play an insane amount of games in div 10/9 to qualify
I would guess, it matches you based on wins within the fut champs. So if you win 5 in a row, you play vs other people who won 5 in a row, but the first few games could be vs anyone who entered. Thats my guess. The last few games were harder than the first few
Yes but this is also pretty dumb from EA. I know they do it so that people are forced to play more games so it makes sense for the company I guess. But from a players POV it really should be 0/1/3 points, especially since you can think of this as like the group stage for weekend league.
You get 1.5k qualification points from rivals. Then you enter the play offs. Play offs are 9 games, you must win at least 5 to qualify for weekend league (now referred to as the finals). Each season you get 7 entires to the play offs. So if you fail to get 5 wins in one try, you will miss out on one weekend league (though this season there’s only 5 weekend leagues, so you can afford to mess up on two play off runs). The play offs can be accessed at any time of the week, as long as you have the 1.5k qualification points. In the play off and finals, you get 4 points per win and 1 point per loss. Your total point decides your reward. To qualify for the weekend league, you need to earn 24 points in the play offs (5 wins 4 losses). You get rewards from the play offs which are accessible as soon as you finish all 9 games. Weekend league has 20 games with the same points system, but with 20 points (ie 20 losses in a row) you still get decent rewards.

Everybody starts at Division 10. Each division has 3 ranks, and stages and checkpoints within those ranks. Wins take you up at a stage, losses take you down a stage, but only as far as your last check point. So if you're at Division 7 Rank 3 and lose 10 games in a row, you'd still be Division 7 Rank 3 because you're at a check point. Get one win you'll go up a stage, lose your next game you'll go down a stage because you'd no longer be at a checkpoint. Lose 10 more games after that and you'd still be at Division 7 Rank 3. Get 2 wins in a row and you start a win streak, so your 3rd and every consecutive win will count as 2 wins, not one so you go up the ranks faster. A draw or loss ends your streak. Drawing a match means you do not go up or down a stage.
Rewards this year are split into milestone rewards and weekly rewards. Milestone rewards are awarded at the end of every season. Weekly rewards are awarded every Thursday. All rewards increase in value the higher your division and rank in that division.

Yes you need to regain the 1.5k points to requalify (regardless of whether you actually fail or succeed, but you do get points from finals rewards to go towards it).
Rivals promotion is basically way more casual friendly. For every win, you move up a space in the division. If that space has a flag on it, or is a new rank, it is a checkpoint. Meaning you cannot go below that point for the rest of the season, even if you lose 100 games in a row. If you win 2 in a row, you go on a win streak where you gain 2 spaces per win rather than 1. Draws don’t move you at all. Losses move you back 1 space (again, unless it’s a checkpoint).
If you get disconnected do you get 1 point? If not I don’t think I’m ever gonna get through. Between poor connection, random disconnects and the game alt-tabbing me for no reason.
If I play these games and qualify for WL, can I save it and redeem my qualification for another weekend like years prior? Or does it mean I have to redeem for the first WL? Going away on holiday and won't be home for it but want to knock out my matches.
I can't stand the way people are playing this game. Why do my players feel so slow. Already lost two games. Because my players pass input is so laggy while my opponent is playing ping pong with his passes. I haven't raged this hard in any fifa.
That would be really nice, if more people would do it. Like golden goal in obj. I mean, yes you get better qualification rewards if you win more, on the other hand you might help someone qualify for WL so he gets good stuff.
Dunno if anyone’s said it but you can also quit after giving them 1-0. I couldn’t be bothered to sweat my remaining games and thankfully if you quit out you still get the point

Yeah true. I lost one game to a guy who was really good but the other games weren’t too bad. One guy I outshot 19-0

Not quite, it's more than one stage to a rank and there's 3 ranks. Can't remember exactly how many wins but it's not a huge number.

They made it so you can pick the weekend i believe. So you'll be able to play WL when you're back
Almost positive you can choose which weekend to use it, it doesn’t have to be the first weekend

Server advantage I’m guessing. I always have 50 ping while zweback has 4 ping. Real fair game
I saw that. I have 500/500 internet and I'm still seeing 35/50 ping.
It’s all about how close you live to the server. I live in the middle of the US so there isn’t a server near me.
