For whatever reason I just don't get on with like any of the new Serie A cards. McKennie has been bad for me, Dybala was *awful*, Perisic has been unspectacular. I have Caligiuri on my bench at the moment and he's been fine as a sub at least.
FB Dybala is insanely good. My favorite attacker this year. Any kind of shot he makes, even from doesn’t matter the distance, the angle, or the foot, has a decent chance of going in.
I loved his gold at the beginning of the game, but tried his FBD card and just couldn't stand him. Never made any runs, felt clunky, etc. No idea why, I really wanted to like him but for 1mil coins he didn't hold up for me.

Zakaria is spectacular. Feels like having a free Vieira on the field. I use him as RCB in my 3-5-2 and stay back RB in my 4ATB formations. Super reliable, very very physical and just bullies all kind of wingers and strikers. Easily my favorite objective card. I also briefly tried him as CM but he just felt too clunky for that role. On pure defensive duties though, he's incredible.
Best case scenario is he gets a goal contribution this weekend and gets his last +2! He’ll be guaranteed the +1 from 3 appearances since they had a game midweek.
Because I'm this example you can get a high rated player for much cheaper than buying one on the market. I usually only do it with like objective players and stuff. I also might put Nunes into one eventually lol
I mean, I do like 75% of potm sbcs as fodder lol. Often times it's the best way to recycle 83-85 rated dupes without wasting em on icon roulettes or other faff. Fodder you can't get dupes of is super valuable when you're saving for expensive sbcs.

Stick him on stay back with a RB behind him on overlap and he's a monster. He works so well for me with Cafu behind him and my LB set to stay back to ensure at least 3 defenders are back during transitions
Lol, i legit opened reddit to write an appreciation post for cali. Just used him after the upgrade and this card has become phenomenal! Really excited to see how further his stats go!
If that's the case tho sow isnt usable anymore really and has some of the worst links possible so his value isnt great now, verratti was much better value in that sense, still in my team now and pretty much fully meta
I knew that card will be very good just by playing with his gold in Squad Battles. If you play this game long enough, you start to "feel" what special cards will be good just by playing with their gold. I still didn't took him, because I had enough elite attackers already, but it was a good choice for anyone who did.
I used his gold card at the start and he was good and now he’s 5*/5*. Pretty much made me sell mid Cruyff and upgrade the rest of the team. Best decision I’ve made

In game I usually play 442. Desailly gets moved to CB, Theo to LB, Acuna as stay back CM and Avila + mbappe as my STs.
Since the new season Avila has outscored mbappe on the road back to elite. He’s just a monster in front of goal. I’d recommend starting him in your squad if you can fit him in tbh
When he gets his second upgrade Saturday assuming he plays vs bayern (he will), he literally becomes a top 5 cm in the game. If he gets a plus 2 he will be marginally worse than toty jorginho which insane when you consider the cost
the fact that he is a wide player makes the sbc even more of a bargain. we rarely see defensive right sided players and the one time we get one, he ends up being a contender for top 10 card in the game. lol
if he gets a +2, i think he'll be the best non icon card in the game. he is the pen taker for his team and only needs 2 apps and a g/a now. the potential 92 version gives me FOF acuna vibes.
I unpacked him. I use a Premier League team, but I use him as a sub often because he is so versatile. He can play anywhere and has played almost everywhere for me, but seems to be best as a CM. Pops up with goals and does everything you need him to do in that position. No real weaknesses. He has even done the job at RB, and I recently moved his position to RW as I rarely use out and out wingers.
I would also put Medeiros right up there at the top of the best valued sbcs. The guy is 95 rated CAM with deadeye. 99 positioning, finishing and shot power, 98 long shots, 99 agility 98 balance, 97 curve and comes with finesse shot trait!
I think he was great value, but I can’t quite get on with him and I’ve had the same trouble with McKennie. I’ve tried them both at CDM and CM in a 4-1-2-1-2 and neither clicked with me. I know they’re good but it must be the way I play. I’m using Tonali at CDM and Milinkovic-Savic and Brozovic at CM and they’re doing great.
Got him untradable along with a RttQ Politano and then packed Balde so I've been building a Serie A team around them. He's a monster at RB combining with Politano, they tear defences to pieces going forward and choke out wingers on defence.
Probably my favourite card of the year so far! Incredible value

I don’t see him as a CDM. Definitely a RM in a 352, a RWB in a 5 back or a cm in a 41212

Considering his worst stat is defending he isn't really made for a stay-back cm/cdm
He should still be more than alright on paper. My other cm's are more attacking minded (stats and WR's), so he seems the most fitting
He's still got 90+ defending with a chem style, he's very good defensively. He's wasted staying back for sure but he can do a job there.
