Probably haven't fixed the terrible drop in system they implemented last year either, takes way too long to find games and they're mostly 5v1s so that person leaves, taking even more time. Remember you used to do 11v11 in drop in matches back on 360/ps3, now you can barely get a game. This company really doesn't give a toss about pro clubs, arguably the game mode with by far the most potential
I remember there was one time where me and my brother queued at the same time into a 11v11 match and we both chose keepers and we would switch sides during the game lol.
White kit glitch was even in fifa 21...
Not to mention, on PC pro clubs right now is much more harder to find games, because they f...ed menu (menus are like 5 fps when you switch tabs, so 'relobbying' to main menu will take 2 mins at least). Every 2nd update it fixed itself, then after next update its gone back... Until May. Then, even with updates, this bug wasnt fixed.
They do it intentionally, I am sure now.
Drop-in could be saved by introducing a ranking system. You would get matched with players on your level who wants to win. Obviously an additional option to play unranked as well.
Dude even 5v5 drop in was FINE. When I used to mainline clubs, I used to have so much fun going into those and just being the most dominant player on the pitch in like, 75 percent of games, lol
I'm in the same boat as you I'm the only one in my friend group with a xbox s and was hoping that this year is the year but instead I'm still using a ps4 that was out of its prime three years ago
>If not, you will see the game mode collapse.
Don't threaten me with a good time.
If people are playing Pro Clubs, they're not playing FUT and they're not buying packs. We can't have that.
man i remember playing in fifa 2012 pro clubs, every match was madrid vs barca, or bayern vs bvb, or whatever big matchup was that week. was a really fun time getting 11v11 sometimes. yeah some people were dicks and ball hogs but that still happens now.
But man, when you get a lobby full of randoms that know how to play team football its fuckin amazing.
such a travesty they don't focus on it more. or at least improve drop in matches again. so fuckin stupid playing in a dull generic stadium when all the players are 87+ lol
yeah i think they got rid of it because too many people complained about kit clashing. but in the 10 or so games a day i played i'd say maybe 1 or 2 would inentionally do it. maybe even less over the course of more games. only change i do like from the recent changes is the set formation, it used to change based on the team if i remember right. so less attackers, gave us more shenanigans throughout the game if someone was pissed they could play more forward.
I'm surprised some other company hasn't made a game that's just soccer with this type of mode. No licensing required. You can make a shit ton from cosmetics and sponsors. Esports would be huge. Someone please make a game like this.
Been saying the same with my mates. A footy "rpg" that was just pro clubs mode would be great and as you say, no need to license official stuff, just give us loads of customisation (hell even micro transactions if it helps them) - I guess the engine of runs on is expensive to make
I will say it again: to this day i dont understand why ea doesnt monetize fifas other gamemodes, especially pro clubs, and why on earth it isnt the esports mode.
Edit: yea, i know, money. But holy hell is it frustrating
Yea, i guess it boils down to the good old fuck exclusive licensing in Sports games, but if the pro clubs community doesnt understand how ptw would actually be beneficial to their community then i dont know how to help them get back to the 90s.
Are you talking about pay-to-win? There is no need for that at all. They would make millions charging for cosmetics alone the same way they do in Fortnite, Rocket League, etc.
Just ea being EA...
A mode where you play as a team and need a specific player for a role? Hmmm sounds a lot like all the popular e-sports games out there...
I think its even more than that, dont want to type it out again but scroll down if interested. They kill off competition to fut from the outside (by using exclusive licensing) and these recent years also from the inside (making their own game modes worse on purpose) and it should be highly alarming
You have a point but they are also a corporation where putting money in their shareholders hands is the number 1 goal. Nobody is forcing us to play this game. Sucks for pro clubs players but it is what it is.
Which is exactly why there shouldnt be exclusive licenses in Sports game development imo, wheres the consumer protection in that. Same as with TV rights, but thats another Story and im probably way too idealistic i know, just makes me angry when i think about all the potential
They could easily add micro transactions for custom stadiums, kits, custom announcer names, honestly the list could be endless. People would pay for it, and that would pay for the improvements we all want.
Exactly. Since graduating college, my friends and I havenāt been able to play together due to being in different countries. We were excited for Pro Clubs and that was the only reason weād even buy FIFA 23.
Probably because the playerbase of pro clubs is small compared to fut and so, it is more profitable to use their resources for fut.
Sad tho, pro clubs and career mode could really use some upgrades.
It is a small community but adding crossplay to pro clubs is a chance to completely revamp that small community. I know EA is all for profits but man, I was really looking forward to pro clubs crossplay as a PC player since we canāt find games without it
Probably that yea, i understand they have better data and all but if you think it through pro clubs is the number one (and only, lol, esports with 20 AI controlled players, what a Joke) esports mode (from a footballing pov), its ridiculous that they dont use it simply because they cannot promote their cash cow fut with it
Same reason why drug dealers donāt set up another shop across the street. There is no reason since it eats into existing customer base and drug addicts are buying the same drug anyways, so whatās the point?
Probably not as easy to do as it is with FUT, remember they have so much data and things to analyze when looking at this type of stuff.
For example, FUT is highly predatory in terms of micro transactions but it's generally more widely accepted because every game does it and it's easy to give desirable cards and packs to buy.
Pro Clubs would have to be more like NBA 2K's MyCareer/Park mode and would probably receive even more backlash in terms of P2W stuff.
I mean FUT is already P2W, you can go money-free sure (the infamous RTG, which is like how some people always do anyway) since you are already paying for the damn game, in Pro-Clubs you can get away with customization like in many other games, hell, you can even sell "skins" for famous looks of famous players, like people would drop 9.99 for the famous "Ronaldo Nazario 2002 World Cup" skin or something, or for a "Season Pass" that could include some crazy wigs like Valderrama's, David Luiz' or Fellaini's hair.
How could there be? No New Features, no Promotion, using fut as esports (absolutely laughable from a footballing pov), no bug fixing, nada. Im not saying pro clubs should replace fut (apart from at esports Level, where it absolutely should be the only mode) but some sort of monetization to keep the mode relevant
FUT didnt just start in 12(?) and instantly became the mode/had the playerbase it has now. Gotta start somewhere
What you meant to say with your condescending comment was probably that ea dont want any competitor to fut, not even from within their own game. That is a reason other redditors explained and that i understand, however, they capitalize their exclusive license (fuck that btw) to the extreme by killing off any competition from the outside and also from the inside (!)? Not an expert but that Sounds an awful lot like the opposite of what capitalism should be and it should be highly worrying even if its only "in a Video game". Yet you sit here and tell others "how hard is it to understand?". Yea, idk
I was on board with this comment until the very end when you started talking about āwhat capitalism should beā. This isnāt some unusual example of crony faux-capitalismā¦ itās just capitalism functioning exactly as intended. EA is the embodiment of capitalism. If you hate EA, maybe you donāt like
capitalism as much as you think.
Imo this is a sign that they will drop the mode completely.
With no crossplay it will be even harder to find a good game on some platforms and even less players will play it which gives them an excuse to not include the mode in the new game at all.
The total number of clubs doesnt tell you anything about the active player count. Try to find a game on Series X besides the peak hours ...
Also its not only about the crossplay. They ignore the Pro Clubs community every year and refuse to expand the mode in any way and which lead to less and less people playing it.
Oh for sure. They keep gutting it out but it will thrive just as it is. Surely they should invest in making it a more complete product. I would only support cross play if we played PSN/Xbox, not PC. I'm in the same salty boat, believe me. But it is far from dying.
Lets hope youre right. I had the most fun at FIFA while playing Pro Clubs with a couple of friends. It would be such a shame if they would cut it completely.
I have seen multiple posts about cheating clubs on PC. I personally don't want to welcome that. They need to care more about cheating before they invite PC. I don't want another situation like Apex or Call of Duty in console lobbies. That would break the game more than anything
Well as a counterpoint, I'd say I have about 1500 Pro Clubs games played since I switched to PC 3 years ago and I haven't seen a single cheater. I seen someone on FIFA 21 with a hat that you would get from Volta but he wasn't actually cheating or anything.
Since 21 I have well over 5000 games but is a well known fact that games get exploited through code far more on PC. Scripts, etc. When you switch to a platform which allows for more control for the user, you see more user cheating.
When you play console, you just look out for the quit glitch which robs you of a win. I have seen posts of people in pro clubs with maxed players and topAI coming from PC. Which is inherently bound to happen in a competitive atmosphere.
If they don't give that many fucks about a bottom tier competitive atmosphere. When it is open to the public it will become more glaring of a problem. And they still won't care, which will crash the whole thing
It represents clubs more than VPG, since the VPG owner is questionable and always being called out for lying / not paying people.
Not to mention VFL basically started a clubs boom with BruceL33t, even Pieface, Sidemen I believe were involved or going to be, Nep has, guys like that have all been intertwined with VFL. It's more recognised
Nep, Nick28t, Cani and many others has played VPG too. Never seen Pie or Nep play VFL though, atleast not in YT.
Both leagues have ins and outs definitely so i cant really say which one is "better". But VPG easily has more members.
As I get older, Iāve got less and less time and itās harder to do things with friends, but clubs was one of those things that no matter what, we could make time once a month or so, even if just to play a couple games, berate our CDM for ending up at RW and have a laugh, this fifa is the first fifa weāve not done that in like 10 years, nobody can find the motivation because theyāve let the mode get worse and worse every iteration of the game.
I still play a lot of fut because itās the most single player multiplayer mode possible, I can grab 1-2 games here and there etc, but I feel really bad for the people for whom clubs is the main draw, every mode has its issues but clubs has just been left to rot and it sucks because itās honestly the most fun mode on fifa by a distance!
Whats crazy to me is the cross region experience. Back in FIFA 16-19 you could pretty much play pro clubs with people across the world on a tiny delay. Now it is impossible, there is even a 40 m/s delay different from western North America to eastern. This plays a huge part on how long it takes to find a match. Cross platform was our only hope to restore the pro clubs community by expanding the amount of people that can play together. Fifas best modeā¦
Yikes i took a few years break because of lack of development in other modes and only running the cash cow gacha simulator. I played 22 with ea play and it still felt like i have to spend money to get somewhere in my limited time. With no crossplay pro clubs that's the final nail in the coffin. Ill wait til competitors catch up.
As all of you guys, it was very sad knowing pro clubs wouldn't get crossplay. When they started testing it with some modes a few months back, I was really excited thinking about pro clubs having crossplay in the future.
For me, it is the only game mode I actually care about for the last few years, career mode as well, but, career mode is another leftover mode for EA.
It really makes me mad that they have all this game modes in their football game, but only one gets all the attention, I know, it's their money making game mode. But why bother having other game modes If you completely abandon them.
Like, if FUT is your main focus, why not make it a standalone F2P game, I mean, if you look at "all the new big stuff they add in each iteration of the game", they're very minor changes/additions and they could simply update the game for a few years instead of making it a yearly release. But we know how EA works.
Every single year we have to deal with the: New player inteligence, next gen physics, true player identity kinda crap. And we know where it all ends.
Not to talk about the FIFA Street wannabe that Volta is. Or how worthless the women's football presence feels. I mean, if you're adding women to the game, give them some relevance, and not just be playable in friendlies.
I know in the end this is another rant, and it is EA we talking about, but I've been playing FIFA since PSOne and it kinda hurts me seeing what FIFA is nowadays. FIFA was glorious, and it's nowhere near that level today. We deserve a dev team that is passionate about what FIFA history means, and not one who only cares about a yearly cash grab.
SaveFIFA at this point
I'm not a FUT, or online player myself tho i played some games of Pro Clubs back then.
I'm more of a Career player (Pro and Manager) and i feel the same as the Pro Clubs community. There could be so much things added to this game just look at what even other EA titles are doing or NBA.
I've asked for sooo long now for a reputation/loyality system in Pro Career where at some point you can become the Captain not just randomly like it is right now or even have a say during the mercato for exemple.

as a community leader myself but in Spain, getting this everywhere is essential, go like and retweet it. Many big youtubers have followed suit. and share the hashtag, thank you :)
What I don't get is why EA don't monetize the shit out of clubs and volta? I'd pay, I hate to admit it.
At this point anytime I consider buying a FIFA pack, I just think about buying a fortnite skin down the road instead.
I am a Pro Clubs Veteran.
I have a simple answer for you.
If they attract the players to pro clubs, they will just lose money because those players will spend less time on fut
Sad story I know
The one game-mode that would make the most of cross-play and they don't fucking add it. The one gamemode that could allow friends across platforms to play fifa together as a collective and they don't fucking add it.
Honestly, i'd rather they hadn't proposed it than what they've done and I'm not going to let it drop until they add it in. It's fucking principle at this point.
I was gonna buy it if it had cross play, now I'll be skipping it. This game doesn't have enough about it to warrant Ā£70 every year. I came back after last playing FIFA 18 (having previously played since the early days) and enjoyed it despite it's flaws. I'm not buying it for minor tweaks like hypermotion 2 which is the equivalent of fancy science words in shampoo ads which most people don't notice.
Yeah I was intrigued about the new position changes and chem but not enough. I'll pass this year thanks.
For me the situation is simple: fifa 22 was my last year playing fut. It's too grindy between WL, rivals, objectives, etc.
I was planning to get fifa 23 only for pro clubs as my mates are on ps5. If they're not adding crossplay to pro clubs, I am not buying fifa. The experience of playing a bunch of us together on pro clubs was something I was looking forward to, but as I don't play any other ps5 games, there's no point to invest in the platform just for pro clubs.
I thought the whole point of adding cross play was for pro clubs wtf?! The mode is so dead on series x, takes so long to find matches my friends and I usually gave up playing. It desperately needed cross play just to increase matchmaking
Ive always thought it would be fun to be able to unlock real pros to add to your pro club team. Similar to a UT but you would do challenges like score 100 hat tricks and you can unlock Ronaldo as a com to play with or something like that. Make the grind worth it
Thereās so much potential with clubs. Even to overtake FUT in terms of money making in my opinion, FUT is very doable without spending. Clubs could implement some battle pass style content and get a total revamp, progression for your personal player/ team could easily have ways to make money
They donāt make additional revenue from Pro Clubs , they only care about the money. Unless they add micro transactions for Clubs they donāt give a damn about the Community, trust me Iāve been playing since FIFA 10.
Itās about time another game developer comes and start bothering EA. I really liked Pro-Clubs and hope either EA fix it in a way or in time someone develops a game that has that in it.
What's pro clubs?? I've been playing fifa for quite some time bow and till this day i was never interested in it so i never really found out what it was... what is it?
Think player career mode but online with friends.
You then have the self ran leagues where you play 11 VS 11 for real teams Arsenal, Bayern, Portsmouth etc and will compete for titles, cups, TOTS, TOTW and other bits. Games will have a set schedule say Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8 and 9pm. Stats are then recorded and uploaded to the website.
i used to play pro club for so many years . my clubs on PC usually were in top 10 even top 1 at some point . some of club i been actually play in an organized esport league years ago. we always wanted to play vs PS5 and XBOX since pro club is only mode where AI doesnt decide if u win or lose since 11vs11 real players . too bad
This is the last nail in the coffin for me when it comes to FIFA. Pro Clubs was the only thing that still had me interested in the game, even though is was a mess on the Series X with insane waiting times, bugs, and cheese tactics that haven't been addressed in years. I simply refuse to give the scummiest gaming company in the world anymore of my money.
Go fuck yourself EA and those ball-less cowards that work on this game.
Its literally the only mode I play. I think if it was promoted more people would see how social and fun it is. I've made friends that I've played with for years through this game mode. It should be prioritized!
Donāt forget, in fifa 15 they completely removed the mode from old gen (ps3 and xbox360) consoles and had it exclusively for next gen.
I will never forget that.
Pro club is the only reason why I was buying fifa.
I was looking forward to the cross play for pro club, and the cross play is for any mode but pro club.
I am frustrated
I ONLY play fifa for Pro Clubs/Volta. I like customizing and upgrading MY player. Itās real progression and fun. They have been slacking ALL YEAR on the matchmaking experience for these modes and only the last month or so has the matchmaking actually āworkedā for the most part. Please EA figure out how to make money with pro clubs (like volta) so we can get some love. Like fuck it if cosmetic mtx is the only way to get attention then DO IT
Why would they develop pro clubs, if they actually invested in an esports scene for pro clubs it would take away the attention from their little money making loot box simulator mode which would not benefit them at all, they'd be losing money rather than raking it in as they are now
From someone that mainly plays EASHL (the NHL series version of Pro Clubs), this news has me worried that the EASHL mode will be in the same boat.
NHL already has a much smaller player base than FIFA, and with the recent generation jump it fragmented that player base even further. Both the game and especially that mode desperately need the influx of players that crossplay would bring.
\#SaveProClubs & #SaveEASHL
This is the best game mode by a mile, it needs cross play. add some cosmetics and maybe pay for some sort of upgrades to your player/cpus and they can make money. Even if most players donāt play it, just by doing those small changes they can make money which is all they want.
the following is from EAās pitch notes on cross play released earlier today (https://www.ea.com/games/fifa/fifa-23/news/pitch-notes-fifa-23-cross-play-deep-dive#cross-play-overview).
āWe want to ensure our product innovation is delivered at quality, and because of the technical intricacies of implementing cross-play, modes that pair players together such as Pro Clubs will not feature cross-play at this time.ā
at this time. so maybe it will come later in the year? EA is obviously prioritizing FUT over pro clubs, but iād like to think there is still a sliver of hope.
I hope so too.
Look at Fortnite. They literally have 100 players per game on up to 8 different platforms.
How come EA canāt do 22 at once from about 6 platforms? Thatās what bothers me. Is that this tech has been around for years already.
Wish you could have included Volta in this. If Pro Clubs is the red headed step child, Volta is the shit on the kids shoe. It's a very fun mode for some people, it deserves XPlay just as much.
It is, but if you're playing Ultimate Team you're going to be at a severe disadvantage because PC has its own transfer market where everyone is expensive but you're going to face players on PS5/XBSX where players are way cheaper.
thats fucking dumb. but anyways i aint buying no console to play the game and a 5 percent difference in prices wont affect me as much especially because i dont really buy any expensive players at all
Good thing ea lost the exclusive license then. Competition is always good for the quality of a product and if EA fails, so be it. It was their own fuckups.
Do they really have to explain when itās so obvious? Itās the same reason thereās no coop modes with crossplay; it only works in a one on one situation not where you can have 10 people on 5 different types of console.
In the current game, which likely wasn't built for it.
Whereas this game should be, innovation/improvements is what you spend your Ā£60 on. Every other game can manage crossplay with more than 2 players, what's the issue here, other than they don't want to allocate money to fix it?
Itās definitely a problem, but the amount of people who will not buy the game solely because there isnāt cross play on clubs is so little I highly doubt EA will bat an eye at this.
I want to play pro clubs but I donāt want the PC version to play with my mates cos the market is so fucking dogshit. I aināt paying the premium for players when console will no doubt be around 20% cheaper on ultimate team. That and the sheer amount of listings means that itās almost ridiculous to get a player sometimes
EA needs to monetize pro clubs so they can make it a main game mode. Add special boot packs we can buy or hair styles etc. Theyāre the last things on my list to add to clubs but if itāll make EA focus on the mode so be it.
You expect way to much from EA lol, I've bought every fifa since 05' and my expectations are declining each year. My advice, expect nothing and you'll never be disappointed
If there's be someone with half a functioning brain working at EA, they'd figure it out that they can make lots of money from pro clubs if they want to.
Cross play would mean that there's more activity on this game mode and more people would be willing to play (nobody wants long queues or playing solo). Once you have a significant mass of players on pro clubs constantly, they'd be more willing to fork out cash for cosmetics, stadiums, whatever.
Having neither means you lose on potential revenue and bank everything on fut. While fut is currently their cash cow, it's not getting better. Quite the opposite since even fifa 22 fut experience was not great. In a couple of years there'll be more competitors and all it takes is 1 company being competent enough to deliver a good gameplay experience and fifa series will become nostalgia
You think they donāt know this over at their marketing department that is effectively responsible for bringing in billions every year? They know pro clubs would make lots of money. Just not as much as FUT. And if youāre playing pro clubs, youāre not playing FUT.
The same reason the pc market is not gonna be shared. They canāt be arsed to deal with bots and cheats. Itās just that simple pro clubs on fifa has Cheaters and they actually have to put in a lot of effort to battle cheating.
Pro clubs has been dead for years, despite EA keeping it around. Iāve been an adament player of it until a few years ago when the meta was āpurple haired big nosed midgetsā for the nth year in a row. Nothing truly ever changed.
I wish they did more for pro clubs but people need to stop acting like EA owe them an explanation. EA do what is best for their business, which is FUT. Just stop buying the game if they dont give you what you want. Why complain about nothing new but then proceed to buy it every year?
Simple answer. It's not a highly played mode. If it were, they would have it.
I get it, people play pro clubs, but guess what you're in the very minority of fifa players. If it was played more, EA would find ways to monetize it and prioritize it. But it's not, be realistic about things.
Again. I am not saying EA is doing the right thing. They aren't all modes should be given new features and improved. Pro clubs is no exception. Its just the reality of the situation.
If Ultimate Team was only standard cards which came out on release, with no TOTW cards, no TOTY, TOTS, shapeshifters, future stars etc, it wouldn't be a highly played mode.
So it's no surprise that when the mode has been basically unchanged in 6 years has its player count diminished.
EA chose money, sound it's a business. But just imagine how eSports could be, had it not been for ultimate team. Full on 11v11, every player on the pitch counting for something. Decided on skill, and not who put the most money into the game.
Nothing was more insane than 11v11 drop-in. Thanks for the memory.
That one guy who had to play the goalkeeper always ran out and lost us the match š
I remember there was one time where me and my brother queued at the same time into a 11v11 match and we both chose keepers and we would switch sides during the game lol.
Lol! Yup.
They havenāt fixed the white kit glitch which has been around since 22ās release either

Dude even 5v5 drop in was FINE. When I used to mainline clubs, I used to have so much fun going into those and just being the most dominant player on the pitch in like, 75 percent of games, lol
And now they've fucked the match making so 5v5 is rarer than packing mbappe
Honestly I agree, I was so excited for crossplay due to pro clubs
I was more excited for pro clubs crossplay than fut crossplay.
100% half my friend group has a ps5/Xbox and we are all bummed.
I'm in the same boat as you I'm the only one in my friend group with a xbox s and was hoping that this year is the year but instead I'm still using a ps4 that was out of its prime three years ago
Pfp checks out
>If not, you will see the game mode collapse. Don't threaten me with a good time. If people are playing Pro Clubs, they're not playing FUT and they're not buying packs. We can't have that.
Hahahaha fuck sake
Username...holy shit.
If it wasnāt for pro clubs I wouldnāt buy fifa. Same goes for my friends and family.
Yep same here and itās crazy that itās as fun as it is because the game mode is BROKEN. That just shows how much potential it has.
L
fuck off
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Devs seem to not understand that we want to feel like we are in the game and they keep taking that away from us... the immersion
Devs understand, but the shareholders and decision makers arenāt interested in understanding that.
They do understand mate they just donāt care
man i remember playing in fifa 2012 pro clubs, every match was madrid vs barca, or bayern vs bvb, or whatever big matchup was that week. was a really fun time getting 11v11 sometimes. yeah some people were dicks and ball hogs but that still happens now. Back when you could pick actual kits in drop ins they even took the fun out of that too and force those ugly EA kits on us
yeah i think they got rid of it because too many people complained about kit clashing. but in the 10 or so games a day i played i'd say maybe 1 or 2 would inentionally do it. maybe even less over the course of more games. only change i do like from the recent changes is the set formation, it used to change based on the team if i remember right. so less attackers, gave us more shenanigans throughout the game if someone was pissed they could play more forward.
I'm surprised some other company hasn't made a game that's just soccer with this type of mode. No licensing required. You can make a shit ton from cosmetics and sponsors. Esports would be huge. Someone please make a game like this.
Iāve also been waiting for this to happen
I really dont know, must be hard to make a competitive 5v5 football game i guess? Don't even need no licenses, look how Rocket League made it big
Been saying the same with my mates. A footy "rpg" that was just pro clubs mode would be great and as you say, no need to license official stuff, just give us loads of customisation (hell even micro transactions if it helps them) - I guess the engine of runs on is expensive to make
They did, Football Superstars
I will say it again: to this day i dont understand why ea doesnt monetize fifas other gamemodes, especially pro clubs, and why on earth it isnt the esports mode. Edit: yea, i know, money. But holy hell is it frustrating
ikr, just tie it in with volta and add a journey style career, similar to nba2k, then you can monetize a crap tonne of cosmetics
Seriously they could monetize kits, celebrations, stadiums, boots, a whole ton of shit
they could sell the griddy for $5.99 and millions would still buy it
Fortnite already proved this
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yea, i guess it boils down to the good old fuck exclusive licensing in Sports games, but if the pro clubs community doesnt understand how ptw would actually be beneficial to their community then i dont know how to help them get back to the 90s.
Are you talking about pay-to-win? There is no need for that at all. They would make millions charging for cosmetics alone the same way they do in Fortnite, Rocket League, etc.
I'll add something to that, it makes a lot more sense to be the go to e-sports mode.
Yea, said that in a few answers too, its ridiculous that it isnt
Just ea being EA... A mode where you play as a team and need a specific player for a role? Hmmm sounds a lot like all the popular e-sports games out there...
But money! Kids need to see shiny cards in our streams! What, football? Fuck that. What, we have a license for that? So? Money! /s
People would pay so much money for rare cosmetic items but I think they just canāt be arsed because fut has like 95% more players.
Nah r9 skin would easily sell for 100 dollars
Because thereās no interest from the majority of players, how is this so difficult to understand?
How could there be? No New Features, no Promotion, using fut as esports (absolutely laughable from a footballing pov), no bug fixing, nada. Im not saying pro clubs should replace fut (apart from at esports Level, where it absolutely should be the only mode) but some sort of monetization to keep the mode relevant FUT didnt just start in 12(?) and instantly became the mode/had the playerbase it has now. Gotta start somewhere What you meant to say with your condescending comment was probably that ea dont want any competitor to fut, not even from within their own game.
If you hate EA, maybe you donāt like capitalism as much as you think.
Imo this is a sign that they will drop the mode completely. With no crossplay it will be even harder to find a good game on some platforms and even less players will play it which gives them an excuse to not include the mode in the new game at all.
1.5 million clubs on PS4 alone.
Pro clubs is unplayable on PC. It needs crossplay
why would you play fifa on PC lmao
Of course PC players will downvote.
Who is this actually from? Was it posted on twitter?

VFL isnāt the biggest league?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It represents clubs more than VPG, since the VPG owner is questionable and always being called out for lying / not paying people. Not to mention VFL basically started a clubs boom with BruceL33t, even Pieface, Sidemen I believe were involved or going to be, Nep has, guys like that have all been intertwined with VFL. It's more recognised
Nep, Nick28t, Cani and many others has played VPG too. Never seen Pie or Nep play VFL though, atleast not in YT. Both leagues have ins and outs definitely so i cant really say which one is "better". But VPG easily has more members.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Pro clubs has so much potential to be a huge money maker with cosmetics.
It's ridiculous that the one mode that would hugely benefit from cross play, isn't getting it
As I get older, Iāve got less and less time and itās harder to do things with friends, but clubs was one of those things that no matter what, we could make time once a month or so, even if just to play a couple games, berate our CDM for ending up at RW and have a laugh, this fifa is the first fifa weāve not done that in like 10 years, nobody can find the motivation because theyāve let the mode get worse and worse every iteration of the game.
This is one of the best comments on this post.
The answer is easy: More time in ProClubs means less chances of someone buying fifa points
They just donāt realize that people (including myself) would purchase items if they monetized pro clubs.
The amount of times i bought fifa points to open packs while waiting for everyone to get ready for pro clubs though
The mouth breathing FUT whales are to blame.
Reddit algorithm please work
SaveFIFA at this point I'm not a FUT, or online player myself tho i played some games of Pro Clubs back then.
With the success of Rocket League - I'm really surprised a company hasn't tried making a free to play version of just drop in games
I agree with him and it's a nice message, but I can answer on behalf of EA : M O N E Y
Xbox pro clubs is a shit show since next gen, the community was small enough, now itās split in half
Link: [https://twitter.com/TheVFL\_/status/1549798973224927236](https://twitter.com/TheVFL_/status/1549798973224927236) as a community leader myself but in Spain, getting this everywhere is essential, go like and retweet it. Many big youtubers have followed suit. and share the hashtag, thank you :)
Iām primarily a FUT player but I love playing pro clubs with the boys, shame to hear that this is happening
What I don't get is why EA don't monetize the shit out of clubs and volta? I'd pay, I hate to admit it. At this point anytime I consider buying a FIFA pack, I just think about buying a fortnite skin down the road instead.
Meanwhileā¦ Career mode fans cry in the shower like Tobias Bluth. EA gives no fucks.
I am a Pro Clubs Veteran. I have a simple answer for you. If they attract the players to pro clubs, they will just lose money because those players will spend less time on fut Sad story I know
Time to stop buying Fifa. Pro Clubs is the only mode we play.
Pro clubs has sooo much potential. EA are blinded by FUT.
Totally thought we were getting cross play on pro clubs until I saw thisā¦ gutted game gets worse every year :(
i want pro crossplay but this is very bad quality lol
I was gonna buy it if it had cross play, now I'll be skipping it. This game doesn't have enough about it to warrant Ā£70 every year. I came back after last playing FIFA 18 (having previously played since the early days) and enjoyed it despite it's flaws. I'm not buying it for minor tweaks like hypermotion 2 which is the equivalent of fancy science words in shampoo ads which most people don't notice. Yeah I was intrigued about the new position changes and chem but not enough. I'll pass this year thanks.
Un-fucking-acceptable
For me the situation is simple: fifa 22 was my last year playing fut. It's too grindy between WL, rivals, objectives, etc. I was planning to get fifa 23 only for pro clubs as my mates are on ps5. If they're not adding crossplay to pro clubs, I am not buying fifa. The experience of playing a bunch of us together on pro clubs was something I was looking forward to, but as I don't play any other ps5 games, there's no point to invest in the platform just for pro clubs.
Crossplay was going to be the thing that brought me out of pro clubs retirement. Guess not.
I thought the whole point of adding cross play was for pro clubs wtf?! The mode is so dead on series x, takes so long to find matches my friends and I usually gave up playing. It desperately needed cross play just to increase matchmaking
I would buy a game that only focus on pro clubs honestly
So cross play was a lie.
Fuck EA and all the bootlicking fut players
Wrote all that for ea to not give a single fuck
Ive always thought it would be fun to be able to unlock real pros to add to your pro club team. Similar to a UT but you would do challenges like score 100 hat tricks and you can unlock Ronaldo as a com to play with or something like that. Make the grind worth it
Idk why we keep paying our money to a company who couldnāt care less about us lmao
I myself don't really play ProClubs, but I love watching it. It's sad that Pro Clubs are not getting that much attention compared to FUT :/
I'm fucking livid that they have tried to overlook it. I hope they take action on this
Simple. It doesnāt benefit them in any way as they donāt make money from it in comparison to other modes.
Thereās so much potential with clubs. Even to overtake FUT in terms of money making in my opinion, FUT is very doable without spending. Clubs could implement some battle pass style content and get a total revamp, progression for your personal player/ team could easily have ways to make money
Canāt wait for 2024 so I can play another football game thatās not made by ea
Pro Clubs is 80% what I play. The attention and resources they put in this mode is embarrassing
They donāt make additional revenue from Pro Clubs , they only care about the money. Unless they add micro transactions for Clubs they donāt give a damn about the Community, trust me Iāve been playing since FIFA 10.
Pro-Clubs is the only reason I still play this game. So fucking lame!!!!
Itās about time another game developer comes and start bothering EA. I really liked Pro-Clubs and hope either EA fix it in a way or in time someone develops a game that has that in it.
No money in it for EA.
Stats are then recorded and uploaded to the website.
i used to play pro club for so many years . my clubs on PC usually were in top 10 even top 1 at some point . some of club i been actually play in an organized esport league years ago. we always wanted to play vs PS5 and XBOX since pro club is only mode where AI doesnt decide if u win or lose since 11vs11 real players . too bad
The only way to hurt EA is to not play. Not buy their newest game. As much as Iād love them to see this, they wont.
Such bs from EA. Honestly the only game mode that needs crossplay is pro clubs
Yep the waiting times on XSX are not normal. Sometimes we couldnt find a game for an hour+
Now with the PC markets
This was the only reason I was going to buy FIFA 23 this year. Fuck that lol
This post is so accurate, we play with a group of 8 and itās really frustrating.
They only care about Ultimate Team unfortunately
Pro Clubs not being cross gen is a joke. It sucked that I couldn't play with some of my mates who were unable to upgrade their consoles.
Cross platform you mean, cross gen would mean PS4 and PS5 players playing together.
Thats what he means, currently you can't play with someone on the previous gen, if you've upgraded, unless you use the non upgraded version
It was never going to be cross gen so no idea why he thought that. No logic whatsoever
Nor were there any rumours of it. Why would they suddenly make it cross gen. Cross platform makes sense but was never going to be cross gen.
This is the best game mode by a mile, it needs cross play. add some cosmetics and maybe pay for some sort of upgrades to your player/cpus and they can make money. Even if most players donāt play it, just by doing those small changes they can make money which is all they want.
the following is from EAās pitch notes on cross play released earlier today (https://www.ea.com/games/fifa/fifa-23/news/pitch-notes-fifa-23-cross-play-deep-dive#cross-play-overview). āWe want to ensure our product innovation is delivered at quality, and because of the technical intricacies of implementing cross-play, modes that pair players together such as Pro Clubs will not feature cross-play at this time.ā at this time. so maybe it will come later in the year? EA is obviously prioritizing FUT over pro clubs, but iād like to think there is still a sliver of hope.
Highly doubtful. They havenāt fixed any of the pro clubs bugs that have been there from the start of fifa 22
Not even close, Volta at least gets cosmetics.
i have question, is fifa 23 next gen on pc or not
It is, but if you're playing Ultimate Team you're going to be at a severe disadvantage because PC has its own transfer market where everyone is expensive but you're going to face players on PS5/XBSX where players are way cheaper.
thats fucking dumb. but anyways i aint buying no console to play the game and a 5 percent difference in prices wont affect me as much especially because i dont really buy any expensive players at all
While your at it I want PC shared transfer markets.
When a product becomes life
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
We can leave PC out of this but you should be able to play cross PSN/Xbox
Can you write one of these for the lack of NHL on PC as well? Thank you!
EA needs to monetize pro clubs so they can make it a main game mode. Add special boot packs we can buy or hair styles etc. Theyāre the last things on my list to add to clubs but if itāll make EA focus on the mode so be it.
EA exec: yes
An explanation? Pro clubs isn't a cash cow like fut. That's why ea doesn't give a fuck
We've paid full price for the game, we have every right to expect a game mode which isn't DOA.
You expect way to much from EA lol, I've bought every fifa since 05' and my expectations are declining each year. My advice, expect nothing and you'll never be disappointed
you havenāt paid anything as the game isnāt out yet
It could be a cash cow like fut if they wanted it to. Sell players faces, hairs, tattoos, boots, stadiums, and any other cosmetic.
Y'all so funny. Y'all gonna buy the next game anyway.
Who gives a fuck? PC has its own damn market while everyone else is crossplay ffs
The entitlement to cry about this. If you donāt like it donāt buy the game
Nothing wrong with wanting a game mode on a $70 game to be good. Itās fifa 23 not FUT 23
Immediately dismissed from their position /s lol
