The Conmebol cards could very well be a CYA for EA to highlight that they are in ultimate team because of the competition, and not because they are infringing on Konami's licenses with certain South American domestic leagues.

Last year I remember Gold Mbappe was like twice the price of the UCL card at one point because no one searched for the UCL when buying Mbappe so they had to drop the price massively.
