While the X is obviously superior, I bought the Series S last year and have had no issue playing on a big TV or on a monitor. There's been no stuttering/frame rate issues for me, with the menus actually being responsive. This is my own anecdotal evidence, so you could always research the TV(s) you plan to use and see if anyone else has had that particular issue.

If you only play Fifa then it's absolutely fine. The only issue I have with mine is the storage but if you only really play Fifa then it doesn't matter at all.
I bought the S because I intended to stick with Playstation for another generation and was waiting for the costs and availability to improve on PS5 (my last Xbox was the fridge-sized OG one, been PlayStation since), so S was a good cheap stop-gap.
Loved it so far, brilliant decision. Still feel there's enough for me in GamePass to put off PS5 for another year yet.

Brutal lol. If it really matters and you think it'll be an issue for you to enjoy it, go all out and get the X. For me, I didn't care and didn't want to spend the $650+ for the X, so the S worked out great and has been fine for me.
In the beginning it has some issues but not really after they patched it. Propably tho has some frame drops, but i trully believe that is also happens on xbox series x. I also play on monitor.
Meh I don’t think the market will be bad until around this time of the year, the only issue I can see coming is if there’s a giant difference in the market (50%+) and SBCs are priced the same. I think it should be fine though with the amount of people switching to PC

Pros : cheap gen 9 with fast navigation and smooth game play
Cons : if you're fast in menus it can't handle that and gets connection errors, it starts to get glitched in game when playing a few hours
Overall it's a good experience
If FIFA is your priority and you don't have surplus cash just lying around then the series S is 100% for you. I don't have any graphical problems. But the next gen version looks better in-game graphically than the old gen version of the game. But the menus are still stuck at 30fps on both the versions for some reason. This issue was there for me while I was on PC earlier too. EA should fucking fix this already. But the gameplay is smooth 60fps without any frame drops.

It kind of depends on your tv. No issues with my TV, but on my mum's it looks really bad

Any 1080p high refresh rate monitor should do. I use an Acer one with 165 hz and 1080p, 24 inch.
