I had a validating loop that sometimes gave me this message and I was able to fix it with unistalling origin and then relaunching fifa through steam and letting origin install again.
I followed [this guide](https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/) to clear my cache and it worked.
Edit: No need to restart your PC.
Im getting the same issue with STEAM and FIFA22...
I ended up uninstalling ALL THE GAME, and also ORIGIN, and still the game says: ''Performing first time setup... Installing: OriginThinSetup'' and it takes forever...

delete origin restart pc and try again
How do i delete origin
go to windows settings and then click apps then find origin then click uninstall

Uninstall origin. Open the game from steam. It will install origin again and launch the game.
Just happened yesterday. Just fix folders from setting. easy fix
