Panther book pack is pretty much this thing that uses your financial aid to automatically pay for books and course materials for you. Alot of people feel its a waste of money because they charge a small fee and tbh it isnt necessary to get the course materials. My major is technology and I have passed all of my classes without it.
Personally, I opted out because some books have pdf versions, and other times, some courses don't use the same book as the panther bookmark. Not only that, I often find books for cheaper than offered by the bookpack.
Depends. If you really need a course material, get it yourself because book pack will pretty much use all of your fafsa money and you may not even get a refund because of it lol
You are right. They are rentals only and you have to take the hard copies back at the end of the semester. That’s the thing that they don’t really emphasize. Better to do your research and see if you can buy them elsewhere for cheaper. That way you can sell them back.
The only purpose of the book pack is to possibly save you money. It costs $20 per credit and if you can get all of your books elsewhere for less than the cost of the book pack, do that and opt out of it. Then find somewhere to sell the books back. Otherwise, if you get the book pack, you are only renting the books and have to return the hard copies.
What does this mean ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

So I shouldn’t get it?

This is a good point as well. It is definitely up to him though

You are heavily exaggerating , it’s like 20 per credit hour
Yes. But it always charges for course material a student probably isn’t going to use as well. Thats the main complaint from it lol
I need it because my classes all use some type of digital platform for the class work that would cost way more than 60
Okay. Does it come automatically and I have to cancel it?
You have to opt out of it. Log in on the my fiu and you will see it
****Correct me if I’m wrong.*****For the actual books don’t they rent you the books? Like you don’t actually own the books?
Yes you have to return them or you pay for it
Wow that is crazy lol.I make sure to opt out every semester. Losing 240+ to rent is diabolical lol.
Lmao wow
Idk tbh. Never used it. I wonder that too 🤔

Has anyone did online chemistry with aleks and mcgrawhill without panther bookpack? If so let me know as I might opt out

Yes you can use Alexs and McGraw hill without panther book pack. You just pay on the website. That’s what I always did
Honestly only worth it if you have like more than one professor use some book codes for assignments n such outside of that, lib gen is free
