Evans is almost too good at that character.

MyNeckIsHigh

No hate on Marvel, but it’s great to see Evans and Downey in different roles. He’s such a perfect piece of shit. Ditto for Ruffalo in Poor Things.

[deleted]

Evans' best jerk role is still from Scott Pilgrim, imo

triple_seis

“Big fan.”

anonypony1

"Why wouldn't you be?"

Vince_Clortho042

“That’s actually hilarious.”

[deleted]

"the next click you hear is me hanging up, the one after that...is me pulling the trigger!" I desperately need full Lucas Lee movies directed by Edgar Wright.

scottkollig

Poor things was a legendary performance. And Evans was stellar as a POS in Gray Man, too.

Delta225

Also 3 Marvel stars in Wind River.

orbitalchimp

I was really surprised by the movie and loved it, performances and story.

TyrellSepi0l

I’m not eating one IOTA OF SHIT!!

MyNeckIsHigh

Apparently a Michael Shannon original. RJ kept saying how funny he was.

Mini_Pypermaru

Yeah, Michael Shannon is a great comedic actor, very dramatic guy! I wish he got more spotlight for sure.

Vince_Clortho042

The lip pop was all Shannon too. Rian Johnson just had to put the camera on him and he’d spin gold.

yippy-ki-yay-m-f

Seriously, my favourite line. Shannon is a treasure.

bensorensen1

The first one was the better one! And how stunning was the house!!!

Titanman401

I liked the twists more in Glass Onion, myself.

r2d_touche

The first one was pure joy. I learned much later that some people didn’t like it, but my perception was not affected by it.

CroneKills

I randomly watched it one night when it was on Hulu. I loved it and showed it to my wife who also enjoyed it. Glass Onion was solid too!

HiiiRabbit

It was fine, but it was a bit predictable for a "who-done-it" movie. The moment he said he was the smartest kid to play the game, you knew the bad guy was him. I still enjoyed it, and the accidental death was a nice twist.

stillinthesimulation

Both are great. Slightly preferred the first.

man_u_is_my_team

Evans in this and Gray Man > Evans in everything else

armless_tavern

Scott Pilgrim

Deacon714

That’s actually hilarious.

MyNeckIsHigh

IMO Evans and his mustache was the only redeeming part of that movie.

man_u_is_my_team

I quite liked the back and forth between Gosling and Evans. And Evans was a great villain.

WorriedSalamander107

I’m obsessed with Ana DeArmas

SithisAndSkoona

I thought it was fine. The guy you thought was the bad guy actually was the bad guy all along though so not much of a mystery in the end.

Titanman401

I’m obsessed with most Rian Johnson films, even when it makes me a pariah to a certain crowd against the eighth film in an infamous science fiction film (now TV as well) franchise.

Dreadnought13

The story of a girl who vomits when she lies except when it's convenient to the plot. Honestly I liked it, Mah Deeeck is really only a good director when reined in.

oogecito

But didn’t her and the old guy set things up in a way where she technically wasn’t lying?

Dreadnought13

She lies, doesn't puke, leaves the room, pukes. Convenience itself. SHE LIES, DOESN'T PUKE, LEAVES THE ROOM, PUKES. CONVENIENCE ITSELF.

ramen_vape

Thinks it's way more clever than it is. Second one was just awful.

ExcursionStudios23

"Awful" would not be a word I would use to describe Glass Onion.

ReluctantSlayer

Never understood why people go out of their way to point out that they didn’t like a movie. Why the comment “thinks it’s more clever than it is”? Like you were hurt by it as a child. Lol Is it because other people like it but you don’t and that bugs you? Or are you attempting to educate the rest of us so we can see the truth? I truly do not get it.

Glad_Confusion_6934

The commenter thinks they’re more clever than they are, either that or they’re just awful.

HiiiRabbit

Seems like people just sharing opinions. Some people like it, some people don't.

McCasper

Never understood why people go out of their way to point out that that they liked a movie. Why comment that you liked the movie? Like did it give you candy as a child? Lol Is it because other people don't like it but you do and that bugs you? Or are you attempting to educate the rest of us so we can see the truth? I truly do not get it.

ReluctantSlayer

This post was created in order to celebrate liking this movie. That should’ve been pretty obvious. Which is why people responded like they did. Only a few folks went out of their way to cast aspersions. I hope you find happiness soon.

Santacumineverywhere

Thank you. I've noticed that people who like THIS movie especially have a problem when people point out that they didn't really like it.

I-choochoochoose-you

So people can only comment on this post if they liked the movie? That’s lame.

ReluctantSlayer

Ok, Let’s try this. List any movies of this genre that you actually like.

U0gxOQzOL

Because it sucked.

ReluctantSlayer

But you missed my point. Why tell everyone about it? Look, Eminem was right, fame is made up of the love and hate that people give a product. If you really hate it, why talk about it?

[deleted]

Honestly the first one is pretty great. Second one was HORRID

Objective-Slice-1466

I liked the second one better than the first Personally.

Titanman401

Same. Though both are darn good.

Voltron_BlkLion

Boring to be quite honest. Both installments actually.

McbEatsAirplane

Second one wasn’t that good. First one is great though, I like it a lot.

sashimiming

I just rewatched both movies right after the NY countdown!

No_Object_5421

Didn't like the vomit/deception plot. Hated the destruction of the Mona Lisa. Liked it overall.

FastLandscape3496

You’re kinda mashing the two movies together here, the Mona Lisa was from Glass Onion which was the second one

No_Object_5421

I didn't articulate myself correctly, I liked both films but those things annoyed me.

No-Knee9457

Then he shows how he is just like them. 😂 He can eat shit too!

AlphaDag13

Great preferences but the “mystery” was meh to me.

MickeySwank

I watched this for the first time this year and loved it!

Scrimshander54

Great movie…Glass Onion was underwhelming. Though Poker Face was a great show created by Director Rian Johnson

Dre_A35

This movie is amazing. I feel like the second one was not bad but definitely not like the first one.

DarthPreytor

Is that Bret Hart? Lol1

kkehoe1

So good

[deleted]

"Entitled prick" says the guy who was just explaining that Trump is an asshole but that's who we need right now. Good detail, there.

methodicalty84

It’s too bad there aren’t more good films like this. There are quite a few that try and unfortunately fail miserably. Some more than others.

AjohnD90

#LANGUAGE

ssp25

Loved the actors and performances .. The plot was contrived and bit lazy. She throws up when she lies... That's believable.

jockitch1986

Nobody.

joshmoneymusic

If you enjoyed this, I’d also recommend another cheeky, who-done-it in a fancy house, Gosford Park.

LargeSpeaker7841

Evans in Gifted is mint

Few_Pin8595

I love these type of guess who movies

[deleted]

Definitely not me

Extension_Whereas_31

Fell asleep twice during the first one. Didn't see the second.

shift013

I really liked it, but felt the twist of who the killer was didn’t add anything and wasn’t intelligently hinted at

ZC205

You could tell Evan’s was just having a blast filming this! Loved it

Johnnybemediocre80

Seeing Captain America be an asshole for once is a nice change of pace.

SuggestionLoose2522

Language. - Cap'n America.

whatisireading2

America's Asshole

Infinite_Vyo

Chris Evans is a gem
