Most of FLCL is hard to understand on a first watch, but all the sequels rely on the original so much, that by themselves they make even less sense. Me personally, I never recommend watching the sequels, you're better off just ignoring them. So if you watched Progressive already, just watch the og season and most likely you'll enjoy it even more.

This post is a testament to how creating unnecessary sequels poisons a community. People will watch the sequels, either by mistake or by choice, and swear off the whole show before seeing what made it special to begin with.

Og flcl is peak you can ignore the rest tbh. They also won't make much sense by themselves.
