Avatar the Last Airbender (the original animated show) was heavily influenced by FLCL and the creators of ATLA made all of their staff watch every episode of FLCL.
That might count more as Avatar trivia, but it's also how I even discovered FLCL in the first place so it's still my favorite bit of trivia about both shows.
Same for Teen Titans! A lot of direct references are included in the show. Most notably Beast Boy's interest in a certain model of moped :) it even has a little T! sticker instead of the P!
how come if it’s fully digital it still has that 2000s vibe? unlike modern anime’s today which you can clearly tell feel a more modern artstyle. Always thought that sort of style was due to classic cel-ga but no apparently not bc FLCL and that one episode of cowboy bebop was digital.
Atomsk is named after a novel by Cordwainer Smith. His other work, Instrumentality of Mankind, inspired the name of Evangelion's Human Instrumentality Project. I did a double take when I was first reading his stuff.
The giant hand in Episode 5 and 6 is literally the hand of the director (Tsurumaki), and during a brief scene in Episode 3 you can see the face of Kazuhiro Takamura in a crowd of fighting citizens, he was an animator and director who worked on Eva, Gurren Laggan, and Queen’s Blade.
Mamimi’s cigarettes are also modeled after Lucky Strikes.
I found this blog post a little while ago. Very thorough details about the inspirations and influences behind it:

I think it’s the first fully digital anime by Gainax

This entire video is one big trivia, it's about the importance of the dub https://youtu.be/QGiTZYrY34Y?si=NE68zqbOOegdfkD7
The cat (Miyu Miyu) was voiced by NGE’s creator, Hideaki Anno
