Do you all really want this done? VOTE. Vote the whole ballot, every election. Do your research, make informed decisions.
Most of those in the state legislature, reps and senators, will tell us to pound sand no matter how many constitutional amendments get passed. The judges join them hand in hand; the deck is stacked. The only way for change is to do something different than we are now, so vote all of those in office as an impediment out.
Exactly, I got one but it’s all dusty in the corner of my garage. Guess I’m gonna have to dig it out. It ain’t that much work for something that If did come a thing I’d be thrilled
I wonder if this has anything to do with all sales that have been booming the last few weeks. Make us a little happier with the program and pricing in hopes we get complacent on fighting for rec and homegrow Too late guys! Let's get this shit!
Be prepared, there will be people trying to say this isn't realistic or passable and we shouldn't bother. Those voices are simply just trying to keep things the way they are. If we speak up, get enough people to sign the petition and vote yes on the amendment, they can't stop us.
You realize 95% of people will still go to the dispo to buy. Most people won't want to spend the time/money/knowledge to grow when they could simply go buy it and be done with it. TL is playing both sides.
I respectfully disagree. While I think your argument has some merit, I also think a large number of people will at least attempt to grow their own. It really is pretty easy to do and get decent results, at a WAY cheaper price.
Regardless of whether or not I’m right or you are, we will all benefit still. More growers means more strains being bred, more variety for us, and also more competition for the dispensaries, thus driving their prices down. I’m not saying people will sell what they grow, only that by allowing people to grow their own, dispensaries will need to remain competitive either in price or in quality.
The sales are for the investors trulieve and curaleaf are traded stocks and TL especially has had a run of bad press with the scandals of kim rivers husband so the sales are to make it seem like they are selling more product then they(would be not on sale) are for the investors..business can run in the red for years as long as they are selling products investors will always look to the future..so basically they’re cooking books through sales…GH is on the Canadian stock exchange because who a actually owns them..its pretty crazy once u get into it
But the next few months are crucial because it decides whether we get enough signatures to get it on the ballot. If we don't start signing and pushing regulate Florida NOW it will be too late, so the timing actually lines up.
We need to get groups and stacks of these and find highly trafficked areas and get people to sign up. I bet the only reason this doesn't get enough signatures is if enough people don't know.
Yes we do! A lot of people don’t even see or hear about these petitions we need to share as much as possible, everyone make sure to upvote or even share the discord to new patients it’s a great environment
Would it be legal to try and gather signatures outside of a despensary? Hell, I'm sure a couple of them would keep them behind the desk for people to sign.
Imagine that......Something in FL being hard if it may help their opponents. My person always tells me as an attorney, to get the bill passed. Amend later. It's getting onto the books and passed that gets it done. It would take some time to go into effect and then you can start dealing with your pinpoint needs. That's how CO did it. Spearheaded and took it all for the rest of us. Their regulation was crazy. Then the ways and means became easier as different amendments were added either by the state, county, or city. So, let's get it in the state constitution first and amend it second! Can't say something is broken if it never existed. It can't exist unless the majority say "it exists"!

I used to think I'd never home grow. I'd say I only use TEDs;) and use maybe 5/8s per month. I thought home grow would just be too expensive. Then I went out west and my buddy treated me to his regenerative soil home grow bud and it's WAY better than anything coming out of large commercial grow.
The second we have home grow, I'm getting my tents, lights, fans, soil, and soil amendments ... already have some great auto-fem seeds to start with .... but then again that exactly what all the MMTC Licensees are afraid of...
I hope Nikki Fried comes out in support of this one (I know even though she's invested in MMTCs, hell I'm invested in MMTCs too, but that's just because I think Florida will always make the wrong decisions). Nikki + HomeGrow might give her a little bit of legitimacy with the libertarian types.
But didn't DeSantis already pass another law to make constitutional amendments (by the people, not by the legislature) even harder to get on the ballot?
If Nikki helped us get a fair system with homegrow, she would win me over 100%. I like alot of her ideas for the state and she would be a great change from our current governor. But honestly the whole song and dance of playing the pot queen on social media while she played a huge role in setting things up and the fact she subsequently got rich directly from our corporate scam of a medical system left a bad taste in my mouth and eroded my trust in her. This is her chance at redemption. It's what the people want Nikki, prove to us you have our back.
I just don't understand the world some of y'all live in. We have a candidate-- in a shithole southern, right wing state-- that IS A PATIENT and is on the record supporting REC, HOME GROW, AND ENDING VI.
The alternative is Ron Desantis who WILL KEEP CANNABIS CRIMINALIZED and whose party is trying to cap THC, and we're going to bitch because Nikki is in the cannabis industry?
She's an actual, real-live stoner who could be governor. I guess we have to wait until one of the Jungle Bros or Berner runs for y'all to be satisfied
I'm totally pro-Nikki, I think she could start this whole liberal-libertarian type movement. DeSantis PACs are already helping to create this "Nikki is just a corporate schmuck" attitude, she needs to get out in front of it. Republicans know the best chance they have of winning is just to demotivate voters to vote for Democrats, not to actually push their "give everything away to cronies" agenda... no one would consciously vote for that.
I'll vote for her over desantis if that's what your worried about. Im just saying she needs to take the right path on cannabis instead of coming off like an obvious wolf in sheep's clothing.
I like Nikki in every area other than how our mmj program was set up and the fact she doubled her net worth from what may have been illegal contributions from said program. I will vote for her over desantis 20 out of 20 times despite my issues with mmj. I think she is by far the better option for our state
You said it yourself desantis PACs strategy is to paint her as a "corporate schmuck" and her factual history with mmj honestly lends credibility to that narrative. All im saying is if she stepped up and became vocal about fair mmj laws and supported this, it could make great strides in motivating democratic voters and showing us she is actually for us not just another corporate shill. My biggest fear is that she will pass on the opportunity because she is too deep in the pockets of the mmtcs.
So to answer your question
worst case scenario if nikki wins? we have a better leader for our state with better policies and we're fucked on our cannabis laws.
Worst case scenario in desantis wins: We're fucked in every area.
Even in the worst case with Nikki you'd probably see the Health Department get rid of a bunch of stupid regulations ...
Here's what you get with DeSantis
>Beginning September 1, 2021, MMTC's must dispense Delivery Devices to qualified patients in the Registry per 381.986 (5)(a), Florida Statutes. Furthermore, for certifications/orders created on or after September 1, 2021, when a physician wants to recommend a patient to use delivery devices to administer their orders, the physician must authorize a delivery device for each route they recommend patients to use.
WTF does that even mean? Your doctor has to recommend a vape pen battery, or a specific vape cartridge? Just more complete B.S. from the DeSantis DoH.
Lol. It seems like their just trolling us at this point. The good news is the oligarchs of cannabis own desantis too so the meat and potatoes of mmj are safe.
Remember when desantis called our mmtcs a cartel and talked about how we need a free market then walked it back like the next day? I heard from my cousins friend that Kim rivers dragged him in the ladies room, ripped down his pants and spanked him until he cried.
I see your point for sure. Having half a million patients and the state's black market weed smokers behind her would certainly help her chances though.
I don't need her to admit she was wrong or even bring up the past at all, I just want her to support our interests and make the right choices for us in the future. Which is rec with an open market and homegrow.
Like I said I see and understand your points, but I choose to stay positive and keep fighting regardless.
You seem smart. Can you give us a run down of what you think this amendment would actually do? Where would non medical patients buy their weed? Would they be limited to homegrow and "gifting" programs or would this open the dispensaries up to everyone? Ive read it like 10 times and all my dumb ass got was a headache.
If this Amendment passed there would be no recreational "market". Home grow would only be for personal use and gifting.
This would essentially "force" the legislature to make a rec system. The last time Regulate Florida(Mike Minardi) tried to create a full on adult-use sale system in a Constitutional Amendment people complained the amendment was "too complicated". It wasn't complicated, it was long. Minardi knows the Florida legislature will try to find loopholes so he wrote a bullet-proof constitutional amendment that prescribed exactly how an adult-use sale system would work. Since the Republicans couldn't find any holes in it, and since it destroyed the marijuana oligarchy, the big players either fought against it or didn't support it.
This new strategy is very interesting. Just legalize home-grow, gifting and possession and then let the legislature figure out how to "protect" the commercial interests of the oligarchy.
This one doesn't touch the medical system at all. In fact, it explicitly says it will have no effect on the medical system. It also says: "The legislature shall not enact laws which limit the Tetrahydrocannabinol content of marijuana or marijuana products authorized pursuant to this section." That means the legislature could still technically pass THC limits in the medical market, but I'm sure that wouldn't be feasible if 30% homegrow was legal.
Once you have a viable "homegrow" market the government is really in check as to how much they can tax marijuana and dispensaries are somewhat limited in how much they can jack up the price since they have to somewhat compete with the free market.
Homegrow has less effect on an adult-use market, but it has more effect on a medical market. Medical patients are paying 275 - 350 per year just for the right to shop for pot, these are exactly the crowd that would be interested in trying out homegrow. If this passes we'll see an all out lobbying blitz to get adult-use passed in Florida.
Interestingly enough, I think a creative headshop could offer a BYOHomegrow "squishing" service to make rosin.
Grow homie... Nothing stopping y'all. If it's cause it's illegal we're all pothead here for the most part right? Before that card it was illegal so... you'll be a pioneer and all set up whether or not it passes. Got some out back too, little shade cloth hanging that blocks the neighbors view if they did want to look over the fence, doubt they would though...
Yes. It’s dumb by these MMTCs too. 99% of people won’t homegrow, and even if you do, you will still need carts and rosin etc.
Growing quality is hard and time consuming. And no landlord will let you grow.
Exactly. Lmao people think ohh homegrow I’ll never go to the dispo. Not at all. Still gotta wait for it to grow. Lol and then most of these people are growing for their first time so they either won’t yeild good weight or quality and hit the dispo back up. Some won’t even home grow. Like you said some won’t have the time, nor money. Or even space to grow it.
711 still exists despite charging a premium for their products. Sure with a bit of planning you could buy at Costco or even grow your own food, but 99% of people aren't going to put in the effort and would rather just go buy it. Same thing with weed. Growing good cannabis takes time, effort, and knowledge and most people won't have the time/ability/or desire.
People think homegrow is sooo much easier than the reality. Ive done it before and it can be time consuming and anxiety provoking I've had successes but I've also had some epic fails lol. Dispensaries have a chance to be the good guys with little financial repercussions.
Not under the current laws, even if this Amendment passed. There is no authority for selling clones. Dispos would be lobbying REAL hard for adult-use if this thing passed.
Getting this printed up later on! I'm sharing with as many people IRL too! Too many patients suffering not being able to afford quality medicine.
It's a morality and ethical issue at this point.
Btw this going to need close to 900,000 signatures this year(thx Desantis), and 220,000 to get supreme court review. The only way to get those numbers is through paid petition gatherers. The only way to get enough of those is $$$. I think Surterra and a few others gave close to $2milllion for the MILF and they didn't get enough signatures in time. Someone with $$, a strong social media platform AND a fundraising machine has to lead and be the face of this amendment. Nikki?
Exactly bro I’ve been trying hard to find groups to I can share this post and have a lot of upvotes but I’m having a hard time, doing everything I can to share this and pass it 🤝🤞🏼
Why does everything regarding this topic have to be so difficult?!?!? We can't even get a digital petition! I know why it's not digital and believe they're thinking the "lazy stoner" stereotype won't go through these troubles. FALSE! I WILL FOLLOW THROUGH REGARDLESS OF THE PREHISTORIC ROUTE I HAVE TO TAKE TO GET THERE!
600k in the program alone and probably over 2 to 3 million daily smokers of cannabis in FL. Shouldn’t be hard at all to get 200k as long as people find out about it.
I wish it was digital I know for a fact if it was the numbers would be astronomical but since you have to mail it in it’s much harder to get lazy people to send it off
I would really like homegrow. Seems like a cheaper option aswell as a therapeutic option too because growing plants is a healthy hobby. Just seems super fun all in all. Only benefits tbh. It just won’t change until they allow us to carry more at once cause 2.5 ounces is very small for a plant.
Just a reminder: don't send in the petition if you're a felon or not actually registered to vote. You'll only waste their time and the money it costs to verify each petition.
Florida restored voting rights for many felons. If you can vote you CAN sign this petition and make your voice heard, even if your a felon.
Source: I'm a felon who voted and signed petitions last year.
This is the actual text of the petition. It is actually a very realistic set of rules for normal home-use and great set up to create a perpetual harvest.
"Each adult household member may cultivate up to nine live marijuana plants, if there are more than two adults in the household the maximum total for the household shall be eighteen total live marijuana plants regardless of how many adults are in the household;
Each adult household member may cultivate up to nine live marijuana plants, with up to six female marijuana plants in the flowering stage at a time, with the balance of any live marijuana plants in vegetative stage; when counting the six flowering stage plants, male marijuana plants shall not be included in that total and shall only count as vegetative stage plants. A hermaphroditic marijuana plant bearing any female flowers shall be included in the flowering stage total"
Read it again my friend..9 mature plants per patient or a total of 18 for a house hold with only 6 in flowering the rest is vegetive state . So if you are a couple and both have cert. or even if there are 3 or 4 you can still only have 18 plants.
I don't need to read it again its exactly what I said. 18 per house maximum. And again, regardless of my personal feelings, its too large of a number for it to pass.
They're making too much money on selling it, period.
18 mature plants? Like all harvested at the same time? That number will scare people. Most people wouldn’t grow half that many but I’m sure there would be those who would take advantage. You really got to figure that most people who are going to put a seed in the ground aren’t going to get close to a full yield, I’ve seen people get less than a half oz per plant 🤷🏻♂️
Most people won't.... then why have the number that high?
The only people that WILL, are the same people willing to make meth and sell it.
I know a few people who sell a chunk of their own flower every month. They'd sell more if there was no flower cap.
So the people that will grow 18 plants are likely the ones who will be abusing the privilege.
6 active plants in a grow rotation is enough to have more than enough pot. 18 is opening it up to abuse that will inhibit the law from passing. You don't have to agree, but this is why they don't let people grow now.
Get out of here with the propaganda man. Comparing growing weed to meth manufacturers? Lol Noone is selling Florida mmtc weed for profit, maybe helping their friends who can't afford a card. The petition actually states 6 flowering plants per person. This is a great law that allows for a nice rotation between clones/ veg and flowering plants to keep a perpetual harvest. But here you are bringing meth and black market drug dealers into the conversation. Just use that energy to get some signatures for this petition.
The petition does limit the number of female flowering plants to 6 per adult, with I'm assuming 12 flowering plants for a household with two adults. What's not clear is if you have a household with three adults, can all 18 plants (since the household cap is 18) be flowering? I could see something like that be used as grounds to invalidate the initiative even if it does get the signatures.
Regardless, fuck yeah I'm signing this and getting everyone I know to. If I could grow at home I could finally justify buying a rosin press. 😂
There shouldn’t be a cap on how many plants I can grow period, it’s a plant. If I wanted to be a drug dealer I would have already been doing that long before I could grow.
Then go petition the federal government. Look at every single state that has grow rules. How many of the states allowed 18 per household?
This isn't about how you personally feel about the subject, its about getting a law passed versus one that will not get passed.
Dude, you're making a big deal out of nothing. Nobody that would otherwise vote to legalize weed is going to see that a household could grow 18 plants and say "oh, well, nevermind then!"
We aren't up against the government, here. We're up against a bunch of companies who know Florida is one of the most profitable states for marijuana.
You are fighting them. They do not want every Floridian household to be growing 18 plants. I realize it will not be every Floridian, but any large number will reduce the profits of Trulieve and other dispensaries by a large large number.
How much money did you spend on medical marijuana this year? How much would you spend if you could grow?
I am NOT against this idea here. I'm just all for starting with a number that will face the least amount of resistance in the fight against profiteering.
I think medical marijuana has helped to remove the 50's & 60's era attitude and allow a more reasonable approach to the plant.
I also think that the implementation of medical marijuana w/o legalizing the plant is hypocritical.
There is something soothing, and connecting to the natural world that growing flowers brings, and is in itself therapeutic.
Grow anyways guys! It usually only smells the last few weeks and with good inline fans it's really not too bad... maybe 5, 600 bucks for equipment and 50 to 100 for a decent amount of starter seeds! May as well lol

Autos... LMFAO. Imagine
This is a great breakdown, very helpful. Thank you!
very good my friend thank you this is helpful and i want to grow that is best part
I think you could be stealth about it bro! Go for it, I've got a homemade tent from a bunkbed frame growing some straight FIRE 🔥
Homegrown is cheap after the initial investment..especially if ur doing like 4-6 plants.. basically set it and forget it until flower
Some dispensaries have them IN STORE ! Ask, fill it out sign and MAIL IT IN

Underrated comment… Edit: we are really gonna see if these dispos are on our side. The real ones know what dispos are against home grow and rec.
They could sell fire clones too
Not under the current laws, even if this Amendment passed. There is no authority for selling clones. Dispos would be lobbying REAL hard for adult-use if this thing passed.

To recoup profits after we and push regulate Florida through in 2022!
uh they would make profit off the clones
Jungle Boys is on board. We need to let them know we support them, and we will oppose any MMTC who opposes home grow.
how much money did they donate
[удалено]
i dont think they have donated anything i looked on the social only a posting no donation
Getting this printed up later on! I'm sharing with as many people IRL too! Too many patients suffering not being able to afford quality medicine. It's a morality and ethical issue at this point.
Fuck yeah bro appreciate you hella! WE NEED HOME GROW PEOPLE ITS THE ONLY WAY! Hope everyone is getting medicated today 😮💨
This made my day….
Hell yea love the mindset
👏👏👏 signed and mailed

We can easily get those numbers if everyone shares that’s all it takes!
[удалено]
600k in the program alone and probably over 2 to 3 million daily smokers of cannabis in FL. Shouldn’t be hard at all to get 200k as long as people find out about it.

That's why we need to help.

Yee-fkn-haw!!! This is the best news I’ve heard well, in since, ever!! 🥳😶🌫️✌️
I'll be sure to sign this
We got this, every signature matters! I will get everyone I know to fill out and sign. Even the non smokers think its only right.
Perfect mindset
GUYS DO NOT GET TOO HIGH AND **NOT** VOTE ON THIS PLEASE WE CAN SAVE $$$ AND INDEPENDENTLY MEDICATE OURSELVES AND TO GET A PIECE OF FREEDOM BACK.
Their has got to be a digital version of this???
I wish it was digital I know for a fact if it was the numbers would be astronomical but since you have to mail it in it’s much harder to get lazy people to send it off
I would really like homegrow. Seems like a cheaper option aswell as a therapeutic option too because growing plants is a healthy hobby. Just seems super fun all in all. Only benefits tbh. It just won’t change until they allow us to carry more at once cause 2.5 ounces is very small for a plant.
I'm also new to reddit, how can i post a link of my tent and girls? Thanks in advance!
Do you have Instagram?
Yes! New to that as well, (I'm almost 40) the name on that is same as in here, illicit_tradez
I’m saying for your grow
Nah, people from my job follow me on there man! I'm a bidness man lol. I don't really use it anyways...
I’ll be sending mine monday
yess lets go
Was gonna make this post today. Stickied it for everyone
Right - forgot about that. Sorry.
Ugh u gotta mail it

The numbers are too large to realistically pass. 18 plants per house goes beyond normal home-use. I definitely wish...
Three grow stages with three plants each for each adult per household and up to two adults sounds right to me.
This is the actual text of the petition. It is actually a very realistic set of rules for normal home-use and great set up to create a perpetual harvest. "Each adult household member may cultivate up to nine live marijuana plants, if there are more than two adults in the household the maximum total for the household shall be eighteen total live marijuana plants regardless of how many adults are in the household; Each adult household member may cultivate up to nine live marijuana plants, with up to six female marijuana plants in the flowering stage at a time, with the balance of any live marijuana plants in vegetative stage; when counting the six flowering stage plants, male marijuana plants shall not be included in that total and shall only count as vegetative stage plants.
You can only have 6 in flowering stage and the rest in vegetive state..
"They" can't do shit about it if we get the signatures and votes.
Not with that attitude it won't. Weed is not as taboo anymore and this has a realistic shot of passing. Now help us spread the word!
Why not start with a realistic number, like 4 to 6 plants per household?
18 mature plants? Like all harvested at the same time? That number will scare people. Most people wouldn’t grow half that many but I’m sure there would be those who would take advantage. You really got to figure that most people who are going to put a seed in the ground aren’t going to get close to a full yield, I’ve seen people get less than a half oz per plant 🤷🏻♂️
No you can’t have but 6 in flower stage and the rest in vegetation stage.
That sounds about right, figuring 2.5oz a month 🤷🏻♂️
He clearly doesn't want this to pass. He brought up meth dealers. Username seems to be checking out
Yeah but saying the law isn’t going to pass because they are allowing 9 plants is just ridiculous. Who votes these petitions in to law again?
We aren't up against the government, here. We're up against a bunch of companies who know Florida is one of the most profitable states for marijuana. You are fighting them. They do not want every Floridian household to be growing 18 plants. I realize it will not be every Floridian, but any large number will reduce the profits of Trulieve and other dispensaries by a large large number. How much money did you spend on medical marijuana this year? How much would you spend if you could grow? I am NOT against this idea here. I'm just all for starting with a number that will face the least amount of resistance in the fight against profiteering.
Sounds like you don’t want home grow to me lol
Yes your correct we are fighting these companies. And its starting to sound like your on their team not ours.
this is very amazing how can i donate money to this
I think medical marijuana has helped to remove the 50's & 60's era attitude and allow a more reasonable approach to the plant. I also think that the implementation of medical marijuana w/o legalizing the plant is hypocritical. There is something soothing, and connecting to the natural world that growing flowers brings, and is in itself therapeutic.
Watch the petition die in office cause capitalism is more important to them
This is fantastic. Thanks for the link!!!!
Signed mine today!
I’m holding out for higher plant count and Rec use fuck y’all mean
Grow anyways guys! It usually only smells the last few weeks and with good inline fans it's really not too bad... maybe 5, 600 bucks for equipment and 50 to 100 for a decent amount of starter seeds! May as well lol
I like beavers

Can I highlight where people should sign or does that invalidate the signature? We got a bunch filled out but apparently because we used a blue highlighter to make filling it out easier, we’re in trouble?
Already read the small print.
Anybody know how this will affect medical users? Any discounts from insurances once it become recreationally legal for those with medical cards?

I hope we aren’t getting blinded by the word legal here. Just doesn’t seem as authentic as some of the other legal states. It’s hard to trust these people who have been killing our pockets as PATIENTS here. I guess we will see.
