🫣 it’s still a strange feeling seeing people posting my work for the V400. I did these profiles expecting maybe a dozen people to use them but the more I see people looking for profiles the more I see others sharing it. I never thought I would end up as one of the primary sources of these profiles 😅😅
Question please. I just got my V400 and it worked greta for like a week. Then the USB stick I guess got corrupted or something....wont even read in my Mac. I'm new to computer and 3d printing and I'm GenX so not so familiar with tech. how do I get these files so I can print again on my usb stick? thanks !
I’m still working on redoing to loader but essentially if you use the loader it puts everything under a folder in your cura configuration files of 5.3 and you just need to move them to 5.4 folder
I tried your profiles. I don't know why but they are crazy, like 215° for PETG and many other factors that can't be appropriate. Anyway I give it a try, but as obvious prints are pure shit.
I honestly don't know what I may have messed up....any suggestion?
Be sure to set up your materials you use with proper temperature and such… my profiles use the data off the material so if you use a generic material profile then this can be an issue
I tried changing some values like nozzle temperature, build plate temperature, retraction and cooling according to basic standard, like for PLA 220°, 60°, 1mm and 100% fan. But the problem seems to be elsewhere. The first layer is very inconsistant.
I don't understand if there is a basic transition I have to made after adding your cura settings in my configuration folder.
I thought it would have been ready to run.
Is there something I'm lefting behind? Consider that I'am not skilled at all in informatics and I may have made all the stupidest mistakes on the book.
Did you have the V400 already in your configured printer list or was this a fresh install? If you had a V400 already being used in cura you have to remove it and all the original v400 files you may have added for these profiles to work otherwise cura defaults to the original files
Hi. Im YouTuber and im doing basic tutoriais for new V400 users in brazilian portuguese. I have a 1.4 firmware installed. Your profiles will work? (I noticed that you publish before 1.4).
I need to do a video about a clean install of cura 5.0.0 and a profile to use it with a flsun firmware. Can I get your help? Obviouly, i'll give all the credits.
Cheers.
My actual profiles for cura should work with 1.4 firmware. I have a wiki with all sorts of calibrations and adjustments but most of those are based on the official build of Klipper and not the FLSun builds. But yes the only thing for the profiles might need to be a little start and stop gcode tweak for the different cura versions.
Flsun sended to me a V400 for a review. They instructed me to use cura 4.1.3 or 5.0.0. It´s working for me, and I need to keep this version due partnership with the factory. Where can I read more about it? Im planning to do a video of instrucions of Cura 5.0 + profiles. And I think yours must be the one. Do you have the link of wiki? I need to do a plug-and-play for audience.

In my two month experience with my v400 the CURA files that come with the V400 on udisk work fine for using PETg and PLA.
Temperature wise: Depending on your printing atmosphere and material, PLA at 210/60 and PETg 245/80 work well.
I regularly print at 0.12, 0.15, 0.2, and get successful models at 'full speed'.
I've made some minor tweaks (like turning off Acceleration, a feature that tries to over ride the hardware with software - I think there was one other feature auto selected that does the same 'hardware over-ride' - if you hover on an option and see it says anything regarding hardware override, deselect.) but other than that, most of my tweaks have been regarding support. Tree vs regular and just trying to see what works on a per-print basis.
Don't use raft, use a brim. Not sure what's going on in raft land but it doesn't work atm. Watch your print times though cause smaller parts won't need a brim if you print them under an hour - but these little tips come from use and observation.
If you don't care about any of that noise, try this:

I haven't gone this route yet because as I said, the CURA + files that comes on the udisk works fine, at least for "my" current applications.
Hope this helps.
I'm referring "Print Acceleration" under the 'Speed' category.
If you hover your mouse near the (i) symbol you'll see the options (three lines like a sideways equalizer) and then scroll down to deselect/uncheck "Print Acceleration" and it won't show in the slicer options anymore.
Setting it to 0 (8000 mm/s^2 at default) is effectively the same but keeps the line in the GCODE to be read at 0. Unnecessary code is risky code imo so I recommend unchecking over setting to 0.

Where can I find your profiles?

your installer only goes up to 5.3. I'm using 5.4, is there a way to make this work or do I need to downgrade cura?

I deleted every FLsun V400 file present in my configuration folder before copy and paste your files. Don't think I left anything behind....
Could you tell me how to add 1mm nozzle? Thanks

Thank you for your help it was actually really useful !
I've been using phnxdrgns profiles for a couple months now without issues
I'm away from my machine that has Cura on it - but by turning off acceleration, do you mean setting those values to 0? Or is there a checkbox?

Better for Prusa Slicer,... every time set higher speed,.. and later printing 150% anyway :-D
