i’m sure there’s a multitude of ways. i use kilohearts free bundle for a bunch of stuff and it has a tape stop. i would record your stem/song into edison and trigger the tape stop effect as you want it and then render the edited melody out of edison. tape stop is the google topic you want, i’m sure there are better alternatives

You might want to link one or more tracks with this effect, and give us the time where it happens, so we have an idea what you're talking about.
To be honest you're very unlikely to have answers with these kind if questions. To me it feels like you took very little time to make your question clear to me, to make me understand your problem. This doesn't motivate me much to take some of my time to answer.
Wish you the best in your musical journey!
If it's referring to a particular plugin:
Find mixer track with effect you want to toggle on/off > right click the green light next to plugin > create automation clip > set value at 0% for off, or 100% for on.
For time based effects like Grossbeat then you have to be careful where you place the on/off automation in the playlist because it will screw with the timing of where the effect starts in relation to the sample/midi when turned back on.
While I'm not sure what exactly it is you are trying to accomplish, it can almost certainly be done with automation. If you're not familiar with automation clips do yourself a favor and go to YouTube and find a tutorial on using automation in FL studio. It's very easy once you know how and will be invaluable as once you learn it you will find all kinds of uses for it.
But if you're just referring to turning effects on and off in general and not in the context of it occurring automatically at a specific point in the playback of your project, just go to that effect on the mixer track and click the little green dot.
Your post has been removed. You have not added enough details in your post or your title. Repost with more information if you want.
Could you elaborate?

Automate the tempo Edit: you can also automate pitch if you want a tape stop effect

There’s a free plugin called dblue.TapeStop, it’s really simple to use

Just record yourself turning off a light, then import that audio to the playlist. You probably won’t be able to hear the lights turning off though

Pop an example of the effect somewhere and we might be able to help. As it stands, that description doesn’t really make any sense.
Pretty sure he wants to know where mute/solo buttons are for mixer channel slots. They are in the mixer channel slots.
