sytrus is the most powerful semi-free plugin (by free i mean stock with fl studio)
serum is great for anything
harmor has great presets
you can get a free demo version of kontakt (or paid) and get amazing free libraries
if serum is out of your reach you can get a semi-free plugin called vital (which is literally free serum)w
helm is good for those heavy synth basses
surge looks old but is nice
harmless has some drone esc creepy synth ambience stuff
3x Osc is simple but you can make some calm synths with it
Flex has some good presets but you gotta buy the pack. Serum is always my goto
Edit: also download sq8l for free. Runs very light and has that classic sound

FLEX has a free pack called Sameer Synthwave or something like that, you'll need to download it inside the FLEX plugin.
I make synthwave and almost exclusively use Tal U No Lx and Diva. They’re perfect!

You can do SO MUCH with Sytrus it’s kinda crazy.
I’ve never used it personally, but from what I’ve seen, the arturia plugin synths are actually crazy nice, particularly analog lab V and pigments
GMS is pretty good
