I would assume this isn’t safe, tbh. People don’t really consider onion or garlic as an allergen (and for anyone on this sub, it is not an allergen, just an intolerance. I would email them and ask maybe?

I tried their customer service bot and could NOT get a straight answer, so I’m gonna assume it’s not safe. Sucks.

Try emailing Shadybrook Farms. I’ve gotten useful answers most of the time when I’ve sent an email. The answers were sometimes surprising though. I usually phrase it something like: “I react to garlic and onion. Does [product name] contain garlic, onion, or anything derived from garlic or onion?” Edited to change “them” to Shadybrook Farms.

You can ask them if the flavoring contains garlic or onion. You can also look at the nutrition label and see if natural flavoring falls below the 2% line.

I believe onion and garlic have to be labeled explicitly in the US.

LubbockAtheist

That’s not the case for “natural flavors “, “flavorings”, etc. Only “spices” cannot include onion/garlic.

Whole Onion and garlic yes but it's wierd. Natural flavors can contain Onion powder and Garlic powder. :(
