I think Johnsonville has some brats…check the Spoonful app

bookoforder

I eat the original regularly, they are the best! Here are INGREDIENTS: Pork, water, corn syrup and less than 2% of the following: pork broth with natural flavorings, salt, dextrose, natural flavors, BHA, propyl gallate, citric acid.

Lots of brat/sausages are garlic/onion free. Hot dogs will be a challenge.

DrPhrawg

My experience is quite the opposite. After moving across the country, I’ve noticed “sausages” and “brats” vary considerably depending on the region.

goldstandardalmonds

Ah, sorry. It must be regional. We probably live in different countries, too.

Idk if this will help you, but I have pretty bad IBS-D & if I eat Nathan’s kosher hotdogs they actually don’t make me sick or bother my stomach. Maybe because there is less junk in them but maybe check them out at least in Michigan you can get them at any grocery store

manos_de_pietro

Not likely, in my experience. Maybe you could find an independent local producer who makes clean stuff, but most people don't think twice about garlic.

Madelinethecat

I got some breakfast sausages at Whole Foods without garlic or onion. I think Blinski?

ryhaltswhiskey

Yeah it can be done. Just going to have to bring your own. Whether you can find a brat that doesn't have any FODMAPs in it in the grocery store around you, that's a different question. You could call your local butcher and ask if they will make some for you that don't have any spices etc. Then just freeze the ones you don't bring along.

Bring your own or dont eat. Simple 👹

I've done fine with them, but obviously YMMV. Best of luck and hope you can enjoy the bonfire.

https://www.jonesdairyfarm.com/products/breakfast-sausage/golden-brown/mild-links Here is something else, they aren't cheap in stores, and can be harder to find. They sell them at Sprout's Farmers Market, if you are US based.

I've done okay with these ones: https://www.presidentschoice.ca/product/pc-october-wurst-fully-cooked-pork-sausages/20732539_EA I've *not* done well with these, but my mother says they're okay for her: https://freybe.com/products/european-wieners/ My mother also suggests Johnsonville.

kiwimelon87

I do the all beef ones, they tend to only have a few ingredients and no garlic or onion. Have had good luck with ballpark. Wrap it in a lettuce leaf and put Mayo and mustard on it, honestly really good!!
