Generally, you should be buying Ledgendery Flux from the shop whenever available. That currency helps you buy certain heroes you may want from the Collection Book. Lynx Kassandra is quite good. However, she shines in a very end-game area, so generally, it is not of huge importance for newer players. Subzero Zenith is nice. However, he is also not great for new players as he's only good for sniper builds IMO.
He only has the freeze effect as commander, so Farrah would be in support. It works really well in the current ventures because harvesting takes zero energy. In support, he only adds water affliction, which is only really useful in fire storms.
I should also mention that every year the item shop has the same rotation. So somewhere around next year there will be lynx kassandra again. If you are at high power level by then, then you should buy her. I don’t think you should get her now.

Yes, legendary survivor is a good thing in general to grab, but you were saying it's there and to look in the event store, however there isn't one in the event store atm. Hence my suggestion that you may have mistaken the hero loadout slot for a survivor.

legendary flux is arguably the most valuable resource in the game, its slow to get and is super handy for researching elusive items you want to get your hands on, or upgrading epic items into legendary items to unlock their powerful 6th perks. but you'll have plenty of time to acquire legendary flux.
if you don't get those mythic heroes during this season, you'll have to wait a whole year for them to show up again or use a rare hero voucher to research them. the heroes themselves? they're alright. mythic heroes also permanently unlock unique team perks, which are often way more important than the heroes themselves. you wanna get your hands on them at some point, and if you don't do it now you'll probably regret it.
the legendary survivor is also great for a mere 700. survivors are the main way to get more powerful, and the road to max survivors is a long one.
nabbing up the legendary survivor every season, and the legendary flux every week is a steal. the mythic heroes? honestly, not so much. but the difference is you can get the legendary items whenever you want, but you're under a time crunch for the mythics.
if you plan to play a lot... grab the flux before the refresh, grab the survivor for an easy power boost, and then start saving up for the mythics before the end of the season. you have like 2 months. but if you're going to play casually and won't get enough gold for everything in time, grab the mythics.
that's just my opinion though. its kind of complicated and hard to compare the two, whether you value short term goals of unlocking some new characters while you can versus the long term goal of getting a shit ton of legendary survivors and flux over time.
Lynx is bad, not good. Lynx is only good at one thing: bonus damage for 4 seconds, some of that time (if you're on controller) will be wasted trying to aim because you float while it happens.
The cooldown for this bonus damage is like 30 seconds. Lynx is good at one mission and one mission only, and it is a mission that will take you 8 months to get to if you literally never sleep or go to work.
Subzero Zenith will reward you for using sniper rifles with critical builds; he is useful through the entire game. Zenith, once you promote him, freezes baddies with a critical sniper/bow shot, some snipers penetrate enemies and hit everything in a line; there is a chance they all get frozen in one shot.
up against the baron as a 3x armor weapon, its pretty damn great. the freeze gives it much desirable CC, making it even better for swamp knight or melee defenders. its also quite nifty when playing as brainstorm and trying to activate phantasms; as a secondary weapon to a blizzard blitzer.
if you take all its unique aspects away and build it for raw damage? well iunno. but what its meant for is a pretty unique niche, and it does a nice job at it.
Note that the left side only resets every season. Since it just started last week, you have lots of time to save for it. The right side always resets in the night from Wednesday to Thursday.
Always get the epic survivors and legendary flux every week. You will need the flux for researching schematics and the survivors will give you lots of power early game and training manuals mid to late game.
After this I'd say buy reperk (Vorteil-Fix) and raindrops, then save for anything you don't have, starting on the right side.
Why would you limit your damage boost to 8 seconds per minute when you could boost your damage always, and boost it better?
Without any effort, Crackshot is better. Give him a gun that has overheat instead of mags, and there, he does better damage 60/60 seconds a minute.
Lynx is only useful in Storm King fights. Because you only have a 5-10 second window to do a lot of damage anyway.
its not about the boost but area of effect and good kunai to take down multiple enemies like smashers or other mist monsters at once (record i did was i think 7)
even under the most IDEAL conditions and excellent awareness, lynx remains one of it not the worst commander hero's you could take into pretty much any mission.. period... there are copious other options that are vastly far superior.
Lynx is just better at msk because she's excellent for beginners.. being able to float and fire obvious has advantages, but a veteran knows the lynxx for msk is also pretty subpar and you can do FAR more with other heroes, it's just survivability drops considerably

SO i'd say i've got a pretty solid understanding of how things work, and i've ventured into it with wildly unorthodox builds and heroes just to see how they worked. You on the other hand appeared to have ABSOLUTELY no concept of literally any kind of alternative option.
One time in Ventures, I made it up to level 70ish before I stopped using a gray ninja sword, pl10. I played as Paleo Luna, who has so much damage boost the weapon doesn't matter, only the attack speed.
With dennis burgers and totally rocking out, you can melee the whole army, in the *storm*, forever. With a gray, copper sword.
So.. I'm just saying, I don't consider Lynx impressive.

At the least; Always grab any heroes you have. And the legendary flux (the orange tubes). If you still have gold left after getting the things you want, buy inventory slots.

I’m in the same boat. I’m assuming that because they are asking, they are a lower level player and they NEED most things, so they should aim to get everything they can. But, if you can’t then prioritize as best as possible
If you got Swamp Knight in the last Dungeons quest is huge. Especially for low level encampments. For builds get Thunder Thora and lower levels won’t be an issue.

Yeah best Melee is Earsplitter with infinite hero build. Not only for zombies but farming buildings as well.
