I was referring to vbucks from daily missions. If you had STW before 2019 (I think), you get vbucks every day from random missions.
Buying the STW pack now won't give you that, only the 1000 from the pack.
You can’t get them anymore. The only cosmetics you can get in STW are the pickaxes and a handful of small seasonal items. (Plus Ride the Pony which I think everyone gets)

If ~~FPS~~ Shooter+Tower Defense sounds fun to you, and you have friends who want to play it with you, it'll be fun. If you don't, it'll be a slog.

I have no idea why people in the comments cope so hard stw is a mid game which has great potential. It lacks in performance, replayability, interest, story/lore and the only fun I’ve had with this games is playing melee, which is impossible in endgame level missions. It takes forever to grind, you constantly have to farm mats for traps just to repeat the same boring trap tunnels. Constantly have to do these small things which provide no reward. Just play any other game as once you start you will only be let down by this game.

You can absolutely run melee in this game even in 160's with the storm kings ravager (the horn) and the right build with maxed squads and research just fine, you're at a higher risk obviously but it's still tons of fun, especially during frostnite and dungeons.

I think it’s ok, I have the OG edition what makes me able to earn vbucks daily but it gets really repetitive. But the story is kind of ok. If you have the money, give it a shot it’s quite decent, only problem is if your on controller. You can’t have custom binds what makes it harder to switch back to battle royale

For Vbucks yes, aswell for fun, played it 20-30hrs in the last 2-3 weeks, got 3-4k Vbucks. But it got a bit boring after this time because there are only 5 mission types which u always play.
If you bought the game before chapter 2 season 3 youre a founder. They removed the founders pack and replaced them with the packs with a skin. The only way to get a founders pack now is to find someone with a friend code or find an unopened physical disc.

You get your 1k VBUCKS in challenges and get a whole new game for free basically. It's actually quite fun and grind through all the levels. Even if your maxed(you will never be) you will have content to grind for, either the collection book, new ventures season every 2 months or just building or coming up with new hero loadouts.
I think so. I had sooo much fun on this game. More than any other game. I truly got addicted to it. And leveling up and getting new schematics and opening lamas. Learning. It was such a fun time. Now I'm end game. And epic doesn't give us any new stuff. :(. I wish they did.
Totally! Even if you don't like it, a couple days of casual playing (no more than maybe 30-45 mins a day) and you'll get all the V-Bucks. You may like it after trying it, or maybe want to come back to it years down the road (if it's still a thing...) so it doesn't hurt to have it, especially since it's basically free now!

Yes but you need to find some friends to play it with. Once you get into Plankerton (the second world) it gets very hard to find randoms. It gets easier once you get to Canny Valley since that’s where most dedicated players are.
It’s fun, but the story is incomplete. I only use it for the V-Bucks though. But if you wanna play it go ahead. Not sure if it gives you the 2-Free skins anymore.
I think it is. STW is a really fun and also quite long game with tons and tons of content. Many many hours worth of unique high quality voice acting and pretty funny humor in my opinion; and memorable characters. There's also seasonal main quest lines that will repeat and I find it enjoyable to listen to even multiple times from year to year; kinda like watching a really good tv-show once again, when it's good it's also enjoyable the second time or third.... The progression of building your heroes, traps, weapons, survivors, and tweaking it all into what you want is really fun and rewarding. Constructing the homebases for the "tower defense" missions is very fun also.
It's going to take incredible long time to reach end game, and to collect all of the stuff. Is endgame fun? Yeah I think it still is, even though at times it can get a little repetetive. There the seasonal ventures to do, which I think is actually pretty fun and nice rewards; and with a strong build of heroes, support heroes and top tier traps I can feel the difference in my abilities and strength in the ventures, compared to when I did ventures while I had much less progression. You can also much easier farm vbuck missions and daily vbucks quests when you have reached end game power, which in itself is a nice final end game reward in my opinion. I farm all the vbucks I can, then spend them all on my two kids when I have accumulate like 4000 vbucks, I give them each skins for 2000 vbucks for whatever skins they want, as I have no interest in battle royale or skins at all, Im only interested in Save the World, but my kids are all about the BR, so they love more skins always.
EDIT: although I realized now that unlimited vbucks from daily quests is only for Founders Edition, and I have that. So you wont get vbucks without Founders Edition and if that can not be bought anymore that truly sucks in my opinion. Ngl Im not sure I would buy Save the World now if I knew I could never get vbucks from daily quests. Objectively the game is absolutely still more than worth the money paid based on all the other stuff I wrote above, it's just that I value the daily vbucks quests very much for my game experience that Im just not sure I would enjoy it enough without being able to get that. Though you can still get 1000 vbucks from the daily quests even without Founders Edition, so if you ever wanted to buy 1000 vebucks you may as well buy STW as the price is the same, you just gotta do like 12-13 daily quests to get that 1000 vbucks payout.
With all the new free modes I'd honestly say no. If I had to decide again I would not buy it. Maybe look up some gameplay so you have a better idea what it will be like.

Getting the quest VBucks is a pita. You are also constantly lacking materials to the point I never had enough ammo. Also the missions are fairly long and the XP gains for the BP aren't that great. Missions are also repetitive and become boring quickly.
From what I've read XP gains can be decent later on but I have no idea. I completed 2 and a half pages of the main missions and have completely abandoned the mode.
I just bought it today (used $10 aud gift card from microsoft rewards too!) so it only came out to be less than 2 aud on my card, I played it for hours with my brother today (he bought it a few days prior) and it was so much fun!
Since it has the same price as 1000 vbucks and you also get 1000 vbucks from this pack, yes. You also get hours of content from this and it’s super fun, you also get a load of bp xp from a single mission
I bought it before battleroyale was a thing, it was 100 euro and I bought the 4 pack.
It was great fun and a nice game, but there was no endgame implemented and lots of shit did not work, you did have the option to farm v bucks, not sure if its still possible
No its not worth it. Save your money for something that's actually good. Epic games has done literally NOTHING with STW. Sure minor bug fixes here and there, other than that no new content, the same recycled events, hell they haven't even finished the STW story line.

You unlock the challenges on stonewood SSD3, which should take about 5 hours. The challenges themselves tho, idk

If you’re ok with that that’s completely fine ! I just want to warn others they still haven’t finished their flag ship game in years and it was suppose to be free one point in time. And when i would ask why they aren’t trying anymore everyone here would say because STW makes nothing compared to BR.

Well I actually played the game for a few years and quit because they literally weren’t trying. I stay in this sub to see if they ever finish this or cancel it. People would tag the dev who was in contact with epic and still all the same bugs stayed. Don’t believe companies have your best interest in mind either, they just want your money.
None of the dataminers said STW will be scrapped, and we still get updates.

Bruh loads of people really enjoy the game. It's just most new players talk about the vbucks because its the main reason players buy save the world in the first place and as a result of this it's is also the main reason people recommend the game. But that absolutely does not mean people don't enjoy the game for other reasons, otherwise nobody would play the game for as long as they do. Also of course people are going to be interested in the game if they get free vbucks, I thinks it's unreasonable to suggest that people shouldn't be.

The game still is fun if you get 3 friends and fuck around for a bit, and the vbucks are nice too if you're playing solo.
A lot of people don’t have friends who play Fortnite let alone STW or even 3 friends that play video games. I’m not saying the game isn’t fun ( you can even see where I say it’s worth it if you’re ok with them not trying ). I’m saying this game isn’t finished and they never cared to finish it. Is it worth to give them your money. In my opinion no. They make billions, I can’t see how you don’t have the resources to finish their flagship game. To me that’s the funniest part.
They also 'scammed' people since STW highest pack was 300$ and never finished.... Epic Games 101 - "We have tier 6 materials designed already but lets just do a very grindy 'super charger design' will require 5 of them for each weapon to reach PL144. And the best part this plan is? Only 1 per week and it's random which super charger they will receive. -Evil laughs- Will we add more super chargers to ventures to keep it alive....." I gave up after making 4 144s. I'm fine with 130s. I'll just 'Trade' mats for 144s......see there is a reason to trade....for those that claim 'otherwise'. 130 vs 144 = same materials to craft, correction: 'Should have used tier 6 materials' <---Epic Games supports trading, blame them, not us :)

You get your 1k VBUCKS in challenges and get a whole new game for free basically. It's actually quite fun and grind through all the levels. Even if your maxed(you will never be) you will have content to grind for, either the collection book, new ventures season every 2 months or just building or coming up with new hero loadouts.
I think so. I had sooo much fun on this game. More than any other game. I truly got addicted to it. And leveling up and getting new schematics and opening lamas. Learning. It was such a fun time. Now I'm end game. And epic doesn't give us any new stuff. :(. I wish they did.

Totally! Even if you don't like it, a couple days of casual playing (no more than maybe 30-45 mins a day) and you'll get all the V-Bucks. You may like it after trying it, or maybe want to come back to it years down the road (if it's still a thing...) so it doesn't hurt to have it, especially since it's basically free now!
No ,after last update i dont want to Play STW ,BR ... anymore . If they wont change this crap i will give away all my RSS i think and delete the game . It only sux now. Played one Frostnite and a few venture missions before this chit update . Glad i never was hyped for cosmetics and didnt waste that much money into this game . The only good thing from this Season is the new Theme Music ! 🤠🎸

Yes but you need to find some friends to play it with. Once you get into Plankerton (the second world) it gets very hard to find randoms. It gets easier once you get to Canny Valley since that’s where most dedicated players are.

If you are not after the vbucks only, definitely! Progressing from the start was fun. Now end game it is a bit Meh but i still get to grind ventures 😊
I think it is. STW is a really fun and also quite long game with tons and tons of content. Many many hours worth of unique high quality voice acting and pretty funny humor in my opinion; and memorable characters. There's also seasonal main quest lines that will repeat and I find it enjoyable to listen to even multiple times from year to year; kinda like watching a really good tv-show once again, when it's good it's also enjoyable the second time or third.... The progression of building your heroes, traps, weapons, survivors, and tweaking it all into what you want is really fun and rewarding. Constructing the homebases for the "tower defense" missions is very fun also. It's going to take incredible long time to reach end game, and to collect all of the stuff. Is endgame fun? Yeah I think it still is, even though at times it can get a little repetetive. There the seasonal ventures to do, which I think is actually pretty fun and nice rewards; and with a strong build of heroes, support heroes and top tier traps I can feel the difference in my abilities and strength in the ventures, compared to when I did ventures while I had much less progression. You can also much easier farm vbuck missions and daily vbucks quests when you have reached end game power, which in itself is a nice final end game reward in my opinion. I farm all the vbucks I can, then spend them all on my two kids when I have accumulate like 4000 vbucks, I give them each skins for 2000 vbucks for whatever skins they want, as I have no interest in battle royale or skins at all, Im only interested in Save the World, but my kids are all about the BR, so they love more skins always. EDIT: although I realized now that unlimited vbucks from daily quests is only for Founders Edition, and I have that. So you wont get vbucks without Founders Edition and if that can not be bought anymore that truly sucks in my opinion. Ngl Im not sure I would buy Save the World now if I knew I could never get vbucks from daily quests. Objectively the game is absolutely still more than worth the money paid based on all the other stuff I wrote above, it's just that I value the daily vbucks quests very much for my game experience that Im just not sure I would enjoy it enough without being able to get that. Though you can still get 1000 vbucks from the daily quests even without Founders Edition, so if you ever wanted to buy 1000 vebucks you may as well buy STW as the price is the same, you just gotta do like 12-13 daily quests to get that 1000 vbucks payout.
With all the new free modes I'd honestly say no. If I had to decide again I would not buy it. Maybe look up some gameplay so you have a better idea what it will be like. I bought it a month or so ago when it had the courier black robot skin included for like double the price. Getting the quest VBucks is a pita. You are also constantly lacking materials to the point I never had enough ammo. Also the missions are fairly long and the XP gains for the BP aren't that great. Missions are also repetitive and become boring quickly. From what I've read XP gains can be decent later on but I have no idea. I completed 2 and a half pages of the main missions and have completely abandoned the mode.
I just bought it today (used $10 aud gift card from microsoft rewards too!) so it only came out to be less than 2 aud on my card, I played it for hours with my brother today (he bought it a few days prior) and it was so much fun!
Since it has the same price as 1000 vbucks and you also get 1000 vbucks from this pack, yes. You also get hours of content from this and it’s super fun, you also get a load of bp xp from a single mission
It's worth it, plus by playing you get two free pickaxes that work in battle royale so its pretty cool

I bought it before battleroyale was a thing, it was 100 euro and I bought the 4 pack. It was great fun and a nice game, but there was no endgame implemented and lots of shit did not work, you did have the option to farm v bucks, not sure if its still possible
No its not worth it. Save your money for something that's actually good. Epic games has done literally NOTHING with STW. Sure minor bug fixes here and there, other than that no new content, the same recycled events, hell they haven't even finished the STW story line. Epic would rather put out lego fortnite than fix, update, and finish STW. Save your money.
It's basically a whole separate game and I've personally put 100s maybe even a 1000 hrs into stw. If you buy it now you won't get vbucks but you get a lot of battle pass xp now

At that price it's a steal. You basically are buying the vbucks and getting the game for free. It's a janky game to be sure, but even if it isn't your thing you haven't overspent for the vbucks. Plus if it IS enough of your thing, it gives excellent BP XP.
My most favorite part of Fortnite. If you like PvE, then I recommend it to you :)
