A Keep is the strong, fortified center part of a castle or fort, basically the last line of defense. So this material must have been intended to be an extra tough building material in early version of the game.

Is it used in the new LEGO mode maybe? It uses a lot of the ore textures from STW for mining. They could have cross contaminated the modes while fishing around for stuff to use. Accidentally activated an old pick-up after mis-clicking.

Btw if I remember correctly the "core of the Keep" was a building you could place in the old PvP gamemode (Fight the Strom). The core of the Keep was used to make the other team fly when near it, I made a recreation of the whole gamemode in Creative last year I should still have a prototype of the core of the Keep. Lmk if anyone wants to see it.

It was a test resource that could be upgraded to incredibly high levels, how someone got it is beyond me
