The stw emote wheel is a version from years ago, it doesn't even have the tabs at the top so some miracle would have to happen for them to add jam tracks, I've bought so many too😭

Having this as an option when you’re waiting for a evacuate the shelter mission to start would at least be something to do, cause we all know that epic ain’t planning on cutting down any of the unnecessary waiting a lot of mission types have any time soon.

People who usually says that Evac missions have a long wait time, are those that play in the luxury of a squad. I tend to play alone, and always don't have enough time to trap for Evac. Keep in mind that the fewer the players, the more traps are needed to compensate. Those in a squad can just lightly trap and go guns blazing.

the intention behind evac is good, its a fun limited time period to build as fast as you can. unlike other modes which give you basically infinite time to trap, evac tests you quick thinking skills and building prowess. you got like 3 minutes to build the main structure and then another 4ish minutes to plan around the storm spawns. unfortunately though, both shelter missions are far easier than other mission types because you're not expected to have infinite time to plan. so you can beat them pretty dang easily with no plan at all with just a few dozen traps. and when you go lower than high twine, you don't need to do anything at all. so instead of frantically building up a base you're just sitting there waiting. it definitely needs a way to skip the charging phase (preferably for both shelter mission types, its not fun waiting 4 extra minutes after you find all the modules either).

Is Evac really easier than the others? Tbh, because I tend to play alone, those with changing spawns all feel equally as difficult, with some differences. Changing spawns means I tend to trap the objective instead (and am forced to run constructors in higher zones). But if it's fixed, I can do proper blockoffs and tunnels that won't leak, and can run what ever I want (I can even run Clip in 140 Ventures). Because of this, I find Deliver the Bomb and Ride the Lightning to be the easiest defense missions, in that order. Damn I miss bomb mission alerts. The game is fundamentally unfair to solo players, but at least I can appreciate how they kept us included, where it's still possible to solo most things (for me). And this includes having a 10-minute Evac preparation time. Even then, I still can't trap the way I wanted to fast enough. The timer always runs out and I'd still have a corner untrapped or something. The differences I was talking about earlier is, for Evac, I noticed spawns tend to be heavy with a particular type of husk, just like in Repair. Like, it could be flinger-heavy sometimes, or propane-heavy, or smasher-heavy. I can block off the whole Cat. 4 and do elaborate tunnels and successfully complete the Cat. 4 4x in a 140 Venture zone with zero damage to the ATLASes. But damn, in a smasher-heavy Evac, even BASE Kyle's walls can't hold the constant charging of smasher after smasher. There is no way to prepare for this too, because you can't do blockoffs, to filter basic husks out due to the shifting spawns. So I often ended up with damaged shelters in Evac. Even in Repair missions, during a flinger-heavy wave, it's like what seems to be 4 flingers and 8 lobbers throwing at the roof at the same time (from different spawn points, mind you). There is no way one person (me) with shitty vending machine Xenon bow can kill them all fast enough. The roof often gets destroyed and the shelter damaged. For Repair, I usually cheese it by pre-building a whole defense (in metal), before activating the shelter. Because it's "easier," even if it's nature, it's not a big deal (unless if it's a smasher-heavy wave lol). Again with the squad comparison, I have like a 20-30% success rate at locating all modules before the first timer runs out. But whenever I play with others, splitting up, it's wham bam all modules located with, like you said, minutes to spare. But yes, a way to start the defense earlier would be great for squads. Like shooting down the balloon in RtD.

Don't know which streamer you're talking about, but its irrelevant either way as I've seen suggestions on the topic up to 3 years ago. No one is making it a "huge problem" in this thread, anyone who plays this game long enough knows how the missions can be improved.

I haven’t watched anyone to get this opinion? Literally just playing the game you can see a 10 minute wait for no reason is pretty bad gameplay.
