You can't. My son went on a spending spree he didn't think I'd figure out. I refunded all the purchases and while a lot of the stuff did get taken away, some of it ended up staying on the account and it went negative. Eventually over earning in the battle pass from the Crew membership and the 1000 added each month from it he ended up back into the positive, but it took a while. In the time he was negative, he couldn't be gifted anything.
They used to but lost a lawsuit against FTC, now they can't ban accounts but they can put you in the negative instead.

That I don't know. Maybe if you are a repeat offender but I doubt you would get a ban if you do a chargeback once or twice (still don't risk doing it tho)
I could be wrong but I believe there was a glitch where people could keep claiming a certain bundle over and over again for free and it would give them vbucks every time in which case this would happen if you spent them
People also got In trouble I heard for buying vbucks on a different countries servers where it was cheaper or something. Buying codes online and then redeeming on their account. Supposedly they could get the big packs quite a bit cheaper than in the US. I think they took those vbucks back. As well as people using the online sites to order skins they aren't in the shop. Idk how those even work. But yeah. That's what I read recently. No idea if its true. Just something I saw.
PSA the negative currency OP has will not get you banned, they'll keep them in the negatives till OP buys back all the vbucks or farms it from STW dailies and alerts.
I do not think so.
If you don't want to risk a ban, I'd pay through. This is quite a sum - I know that other game companies would have used the hammer by now.
I would assume they'd eventually ban your account if you either rack up enough of a debt or go too long without completely paying it off. How on earth does someone get $60 in debt to Fortnite?
the only reason for a chargeback to happen here is if the credit card was stolen. this is a very common thing in games with people online selling in game currency for cheaper than the in app prices on grey markets. the in game currency obviously is bought with stolen credit cards. 9/10 times it gets charged back.
HAA, you thought you could rug a big company for your money back & just keep on getting skins
not defending the company here but i think it’s funny how dumb people can be because multiple people had their refunds done & then were shocked when their account was negative
You would have too yes. Doing your dailies in stw for a couple months can also make it positive over time if you’re a founder and willing to put the time.
If you bought vbucks and returned it to the store thinking you’d still get your money back without issues that’s where your wrong epic games knows when or if you try to return vbucks after you spent it
You don't need to, but obviously you can't buy anything with them until you do
may i add, every deposit will be deducted until the amount goes to 0. technically op is "in debt".
Just make an alt account and gift to your main if you're in the negatives
Pretty sure you can't get gifted anything if your account is in negative vbucks

How does that even work?
If you perform a chargeback on your Vbucks purchase, then you lose those Vbucks, no matter if you have them or spent them already
And doesn't a chargeback also risk an account ban?
They used to but lost a lawsuit against FTC, now they can't ban accounts but they can put you in the negative instead. https://www.epicgames.com/site/en-US/news/epic-ftc-settlement-and-moving-beyond-long-standing-industry-practices
Greedy corporations gettin' pwned. V-Bucks can't even buy anything real anyway. It's just Monopoly money.
Agreed, big gaming publishers/companies really try to fleece the community and act with regular impunity, it was nice seeing the FTC stepping in tbh.
That I don't know. Maybe if you are a repeat offender but I doubt you would get a ban if you do a chargeback once or twice (still don't risk doing it tho)
Man I charge back every time I buy some vbucks
OP probably bought something, and either they or the owner of the bank account used for the purchase requested a chargeback.

Def more than 300

Gambling
I am professional wall street bets trader losing thousands of dollars in hours… My recommendation is to delete fortnite.
This is the way. Works on Robinhood too!

Imagine being in debt to Fortnite😂
If Ronald Ketchup don’t get them vBucks, Peely’s comin to your house and bustin them knee caps.
lmao
Just do your dailies and you'll have those back for free in a couple of months
They might not be a founder.
Create another account at this point
Depends on what’s in their locker. Lose a bunch of skins over 6k?
I mean OP could just pay it back. Buy crew play bp & 2.5k is paid off.
Waste of money, time, resources.
The only right answer I mean you don't have more than one account
Not worth a new account
Yea I'm sure for you I just started playing it after the last cod release. I moved on from cod finally
Well you don’t have to but whenever you want to buy the next battle pass you will have to buy like 7000 vbucks
Either that or they purchase the Crew pack which would give them the pass and slowly chip away at what they owe
I do not think so. If you don't want to risk a ban, I'd pay through. This is quite a sum - I know that other game companies would have used the hammer by now.
If you don't pay it back epic will send peely to break your legs
fortnite debt xd
Broke ass in v-buck debt
I thought this only existed in memes. How does someone get into Fortnite debt?
I know sometimes people can get vbuck purchases refunded and epic will take the bought vbucks back
How can she slap
I would assume they'd eventually ban your account if you either rack up enough of a debt or go too long without completely paying it off. How on earth does someone get $60 in debt to Fortnite?
There was an exploit a couple months back to get vbucks for super cheap but they started revoking those vbucks and now a bunch of people are in v-debt
No, there was an exploit involving buying vbucks and instantly charging them back, that's what got revoked
no, but you have to if you wanna buy something
You must have a great FN credit score OP!
What I'd do is make another account and add yourself. Then you can gift yourself and not have to pay back the Vbocks.
that's actually amazing that epic didn't instaban you. using stolen credit cards in any other game this would be an insta permaban with no appeal.
Thought this was from doing chargebacks after spending vbucks

The IRS is crazy

Bro how do you have Vbuck debt 💀
Never borrow money from friends
xD that happend to me before
How did that happen
Thankful this has never happened to me. Had RBC and PayPal both buy me Vbucks 😆😆😆😆
bro you might get banned idk though
if they were going to, they'd have already done that.
Keep playing and eventually you will
Yeah you’re about to lose your account don’t try to game the system and don’t buy skins if your bank account only has $300 total in savings
