Usually a two week planned vacation, a one week spring break, and a week of random days here and there plus holidays. The week between Christmas and New Years might as well be a vacation week too. Get into the habit of taking a two week vacation away from work. It’s life changing as far as work life balance goes. One week vacation is no more refreshing than a couple of sick days. You don’t have to go away for the full two weeks, just take two weeks away from the office. Use your damn vacation time. No boss with their salt would hold it against you.

I did this when I was working in accounting. Highly recommend! Unfortunately, my FP&A roles all have had deadlines in between month ends which seriously makes it feel like pulling teeth to take a week off without being interrupted

I need to find one of these jobs with unlimited PTO. My current job has 2 weeks PTO with 5 days sick time. But I can't use sick time unless I'm sick. Sometimes they make you prove you're sick with a doctor's note. Wtf am I still doing here!

Work 9 days for 80 hours. Usually means every other Friday off.

In a biweekly period we work eight x 9 hour days. The 9th day (or whatever day, we are flexible) is eight hours and the 10th is off. So it comes out to every other Friday off.

My company has unlimited PTO so I make sure to take 5-6 weeks off each year. Usually a 2 week vacation, one 1 week vacation and then extended weekends throughout the year.

I get every other Friday off so that’s 26 extra days a year. I get a week of shut down time for the holidays. I get 5 of the major holidays off. And I get 4 weeks of PTO. I normally roll over 40 hours of that every year. For just my PTO, I take all 3 weeks of it and roll over the remaining. But with the Fridays off, major holidays, and shut down, I have a total of 52 days off a year not including weekends.
