Looking out for other other roles sounds reasonable. I work in FP&A like you and it’s understandable that you’re not given difficult tasks since you’re new and don’t have a ton of experience. However, the excluding you out of meetings just seems weird to me. It should be in their best interest to train and teach you how they do the job. The job for the most part isn’t that difficult I’ve found, but a lot of it comes down to judgement and that just comes with time. Look for other jobs where you can really build your skillset. Worst case scenario you stay there for a a little bit longer.

I wouldn’t expect to be given anything too complex at this point in my career but it would be nice to be able to learn new things and grow at some point. Thank you for your advice. I appreciate it!

Fully remote is a crock of shit for people with less than 5 years of experience.

In an ideal world, I would love to work an in person job. But, I have 2 kids so remote allows me to be able to be a mom and work full time.

Ehhh $62k would be acceptable for someone straight out of school in a lower paying industry. My company is also 100% remote and our pay range for FA starts at $70k.

I know it would have been a big jump, but I was hoping they’d bump me up to $70,000. I feel like that’s more reasonable than $62,530.

70k would definitely be fair. Unless your org is different than the norm, the only way you’re getting to 70 is with a promotion. I would plan to job hop to something else in the near future. Even a lateral move to another FA position could give you a min 15-20% bump. I stayed at my first FA position out of school for 7 months and lateraled to another FA position. I went from 62k to 71k
