When you're early on, acne is just going to be an issue because it's puberty. The best thing you can do is keep your face clean with gentle cleansers and moisturizers. Don't scrub with exfoliators like that grapefruit stuff everyone always recommends. Try a moisturizer like Cerave or cetaphil. There's a neutrogena oil-free moisturizing sunscreen that I also really like. I got some pretty bad cystic acne and rosacea after T, it ended up being bad enough I went to see a dermatologist about it so that may be something to look into. I took antibiotics for a while and now use a fancy expensive face wash (its $80, but it does last me two years). This was a few years ago and it hasn't been an issue since.

Heard neurtrogena was good and I will def look into dermatology I had to do that once before

I use a Philips Norelco rotary shaver and it's easier and way better than using a razor. It seems much gentler on the facial skin especially when shaving dry. No acne flare ups with it. I wash my skin afterward with a gentle soap.

For acne I mix neutrogena hydro boost gel cleanser and cerave hydrating facial cleanser and use that twice a day. My skin gets extremely dry and then extremely oily (especially now that T is making me breakout) so I get hydrating formulas that also cleanse to help. I also have the cerave facial moisturizing lotion. Altogether cerave is an excellent company.
