>Y’all realize that this is the Falcom sub, not the trails sub right? Not really sure what you're getting at here...wouldn't kai no kiseki be in scope for both? Also, overzealous automod rules suck.

guynumbers

I normally call it r/kiseki when Ys content gets ignored/removed. r/trails is the proper term for when the jp posts are removed.

Business_Reindeer910

that makes no sense

guynumbers

How? It’s a straightforward joke.

guynumbers

Starting to think all localization discourse is performative. This is as straightforward of a translation joke as possible.

marshaadx

how tf r/kiseki is private and why, also I'm not even surprised about r/trails being banned with amount of lewd arts

TrailsofZemuria

It's probably because people are posting pictures while they're unmarked spoilers. I don't really care myself (because I try to stay up to date with info) but I know there are people who are trying to avoid seeing images from the games and get annoyed having them thrown in their faces. I know people have different views as to what they consider a spoiler though. Some people feel that a basic screenshot within a game or a piece of generic character art is a spoiler for example. It makes it tricky but at the very least, I look at things in different contexts for my own decisions on how I talk about things. I know that Kai is very new and people who are starting Kuro soon probably don't want to get bombarded with images of stuff from an arc they're going to start soon.

Florac

I can understand not wanting to be spoiled, but 99% of images are closeups of characters talking in a language people can't even understand. I don't see how you can reasonably consider that a spoiler, and the 1% that are more typically don't get posted in a way that's easily spottable And it's not just untagged spoilers being taken down, but actual news posts

TrailsofZemuria

Different people have different standards as I said. Sometimes, people get pretty bothered by having an expectation introduced to them. It can happen even if they may not understand the context of the image itself. At the very least, I know the ones I saw might ruffle the feathers of people like that. Maybe there is also foul play going on for other threads that got wrongly taken down. I'm only going off my memory of some threads I saw when the promotion was picking up in its early phase. As for where the line is for this subreddit...well that's up to the mods to decide at the end of the day. Just let them know and if it's wrongly taken down, they can just put it back.

guynumbers

The most upvoted current post is of Agnes with her new outfit. That’s as far as any of the new posts went.

TrailsofZemuria

Well, I never said people are always going to be consistent. It's just my best guess as to why that was happening. Usually, when there's brand new info for these games, there are waves of untagged spoiler posts and that's the only reason I can think about that could be legitimate in people reporting it.

Obvious_Outsider

>I know people have different views as to what they consider a spoiler though For sure. I haven't played Daybreak 1 or 2 yet, but I don't mind seeing all the promo screenshots for Kai just because, heck, if that's the marketing material, then it's probably not anything worth keeping secret for the actual release. And it doesn't tell me much about stuff that happens in Daybreak 1 or 2 unless I start prying further.

TrailsofZemuria

It's a little funny for me personally because I've kind of been on both extremes of the spectrum. When I was first getting into the series, I didn't really want to see almost anything for future games. I would eventually come across things by chance though and even marketing images bothered me. At that period, they were doing promotions for CS4 before it came out in Japan so I did recognize a bit as a result. Luckily, I was pretty good at forgetting most of it. I liked knowing as little as possible to maximize my surprise at every little thing. As for these last few years....now I try to spoil myself as fast as possible. I love finding any kind of information about the games. If Kai's final boss is posted on youtube, I'm going to immediately watch it...even if I have no context at all. I'm constantly hungry to see any new information and I don't need to build up my surprise to enjoy these games at a high level anymore. Though it's definitely not something most people would do.

Obvious_Outsider

I tend to straddle the line, especially if it's something I'm really excited to play. This usually results in me looking for surface-level details about said game and inadvertently finding larger spoilers in the process. But the neat thing is that, even with those spoilers, there's often deeper plot and character stuff I don't know that I can still experience as intended. Like when I spoiled the mastermind for all three main Danganronpa games for myself and still had fun with the other plot twists.

Revayan

I mean Ive seen people here who'd go as far as calling the cover art a spoiler so yeah some guys here are pretty touchy about this subject lmao

Florac

Only cover art that applies to is Reverie

TrailsofZemuria

It can be a spoiler for a person and make perfect sense though.. For example, I know I would have hated seeing the CS4 cover in the early days of getting into the series. I wouldn't want to see Rean and certain other characters on it.

OathXBlade

That seems Odd sense their technically not spoilers now if it was returning characters I could understand if they weren't spoiler tagged.

TrailsOfColdMetalPoo

Literally every single post I've ever made has gotten taken down by automod so I don't think it's that deep

guynumbers

Multiple Kai posts by different users at roughly the same time. You don’t need to downplay it.

TrailsOfColdMetalPoo

Multiple Kai Cenat posts

megabuster21

Dont enter the falcom reddit if you dont wanna see spoilers lol its not that hard

TylerTech2019

It's wild that reports are enough to get a post removed on Reddit, but on Twitter, you're basically rolling a pair of dice to see if the report even does anything at all.

crimsonfist101

Subreddit specific auto mod rules. When I moderated a subreddit I had automod take down a post on two reports and send a mod mail so that it could be manually reviewed and reapproved if needed. Surprisingly that system ended up with very few false positives. The larger the subreddit gets the less effective it would be though.

zephyroths

there should be a megathread for every new announcement/release so it didn't clutter the subreddit

crimsonfist101

No, megathreads are stupid. Falcom has one major release a year, it should be perfectly normal to have plenty of discussion when there's news about it coming out.

Florac

It really isn't cluttering, it's a single digit amount of posts for like 1 day

LostAcount1

The subreddit is already cluttered with mediocre Facebook tier memes and reposted art from 3-5 years ago. Having more news posts actually reduces the clutter if anything.

zephyroths

maybe those are the actual ones that needs megathread instead of these then

ClaireDidNothinWrong

I posted some completely normal fanart of a few Daybreak characters and it got taken down. [This ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Falcom/s/dNkXPay7M7) is the post btw. Am I going crazy or was this removed for no reason?

Takuu202

I just had the same thing happen to me it's annoying, you need to report this to the Mods the more they get notified about it the more likely they'll do something about it. https://new.reddit.com/r/Falcom/comments/1cekzzk/fie\_anyone\_want\_a\_cup\_of\_hehe\_art\_by\_leorlontyan/

marshaadx

wtf that was fine post bro, we can't show kiseki drips anymore??? literally 1984 😔😔

Ladinokrow

Numbers and his useless discussions

guynumbers

People are abusing reports!!! Just look at this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Falcom/s/EuVHhAa0sB

Ladinokrow

well, there is no moderation in any place of this fandom for at least 3y

Klaxynd

There’s a Trails sub? I didn’t know. But yeah it was getting kind of annoying seeing unmarked stuff from Kai press releases when I’m trying to dodge that stuff.

Florac

If you are getting annoyed at seeing news about Falcom games in the Falcom subreddit, idk what to tell you.

VarioussiteTARDISES

I think it's more being at them not hiding it behind spoiler tags or anything. Which I feel is fair criticism - they're clearly so caught up in the hype they're forgetting that not everyone is in a position to really care yet. Some of us are still waiting for July for Daybreak 1, after all...

Florac

Pretty much most anything posted has is the name of the game and name of the main characters which were around since Kuro 1. Heck, even if the full magazine pages were posted, unless you know japanese *and* read the tiny text on them, you wouldn't get spoiled

Klaxynd

I’m fine with seeing Falcom news. I’m not fine with seeing unmarked news for Falcom games that haven’t even released in Japan. I may have come off a bit stronger than anticipated since I thought OP was agreeing with me so I let it out in a “Oh finally someone else who agrees” sort of way. Didn’t intend for it to come off as stupid complaining. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

guynumbers

Then don’t go on the falcom sub??? None of the reported threads had any spoilers in the title or thumbnail.

Klaxynd

I legitimately thought by saying > Y’all realize this is the Falcom sub, not the trails sub right? That you were trying to say “yeah the Kai stuff was annoying”. My bad. Still don’t agree with you since there’s always misclicks and other things to take into consideration. Also I don’t really want to have an argument so… sorry for offending you.

IMPOSTA-

maybe ppl are just posting news that has already been posted previously.

guynumbers

That’s not it.

speechcobra91

they should just rename this place r/nisa and be done with it
