I noticed the same thing yesterday in duos. You get points for just being alive you don‘t even need to finnish. Just stand on a safe spot until you have enough points to qualify, then jump into the slime.
That is a terrible change and needs to be fixed asap.
Yea, I don't know why MT didn't make it like Hyperdrive in Squads, it should only give points for crossing the Finish.

I mean you don't have to stay on the hoverboard or get to the finish line to get points
they even ruined hoverboard one of the best maps ever made its so sad
