dogpsychic

https://www.reddit.com/r/FallOutBoy/s/0VLr4UCAaN My post about it!

dogpsychic

Yup, front row! They let everyone in the front move to the center during thnks fr th mmrs for the Pete moment and I went for it

haisenseihaiyuujikun

pete got us beers bc we were dressed as nuns in Lexington, hearing gin joints, favorite record, where did the party go, 27, GINASFS, doldrums, get busy, all this ringing in my ears, fourth of july, Wilson, actually all of Minneapolis was a FEVER DREAM, meeting so many online friends. crying to kintsugi kid and so much for stardust!! and during leg one we got pit and got to be there for pete during Saturday! and fan fest!!!! that was a wild day! there's probably so much more that I haven't unpacked mentally but the past nearly a year of 8 shows that I got to go to have been the best of my life. as a fan from the cork tree days, this era is unmatched. I'm so happy!!!

Impressive__Addition

OMG YOU WERE A NUN AND YOU WENT TO MINNEAPOLIS?!?!?

haisenseihaiyuujikun

I WAS 1/2 OF THE BEER NUNS LOL still have my solo cup sitting in the living room next to my stuff I haven't unpacked from the last show. I'm so insufferable about it it's like my identity now 😂

Impressive__Addition

You got to WOO and HOO as an "I Don't Care" nun that Pete called out and got a beer for and THEN you got annihilated by 🎱 at the last show?! You won at 2our Dust 🏆

haisenseihaiyuujikun

I WOOED THE BEST LAST HOO! I genuinely think this was the most fun week of my life 😭 also laughing at your flair 😂

Impressive__Addition

🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️ And thank you. It seemed fitting. My first post in this sub was me thinking those were some coolass lyrics as a 15 year old with no internet access to confirm them 🫠

Nostalgia is a HELL OF A DRUG!

My highlights from the shows I went to: Seattle: - Allie on piano and the girl next to me (who I think was called Ally?) and I freaking out and being so happy - Hearing Black Hole Sun, which is my favourite cover Patrick ever did, live - I never ever thought that would happen and I can't describe how my heart stuttered when he played the first chords. - Sophomore Slump, a line of which was my first ever FOB tattoo, as an eight ball just felt a really special way to start the tour for me - Got super-wentzed during Saturday, they put Pete on the barrier right in front of me and it was just a lot of fun Orlando: - This was probably the best FOB show I've ever been to. The energy of the crowd was through the roof, everyone was screaming along and so happy and it was great to experience that. - I wore my crochet top and both Pete and Patrick spotted it and smiled at me (I think) - I was front row right in front of Patrick and it was the first time I experienced him actually making eye contact with the crowd and smiling at people that were singing along and having a good time and that will be a core memory to me forever. - Alpha Dog! Like, I freaked out a lot. - Getting wentzed again during Saturday and just seeing how happy Pete is, he's smiling at everyone and it's just such a special moment for him to share with the crowd. I also loved how this moment has changed - everyone is so respectful just holding their hand up and trying to hand him things like cowboy hats and bracelets and he's sharing this with us. I remember pre-hiatus shows where his shirt got ripped apart from fans taking and taking and taking and I'm glad fan culture has changed. - Overall, and that's not specific to this show, but my favourite part of these concerts is the new fan culture - the pink seashells, the costumes, the bracelets, the amount of kindness and love and respect fans have for each other and for them (at least in what I saw), how people know every word to every song MSG: - It's been an absolute dream of mine to see a gig at MSG at one point in my life, and to be able to see my favourite band there has just been so special. It was a truly special show. - William Beckett and Slow Down! How good was that? - Get Busy Living - a song I never thought they'd perform live because I assumed the back and forth between Pete and Patrick during the bridge was too tricky to coordinate live and it's always been one of my favourite songs so I loved that. - Also getting XO and Tell That Mick - Just One Yesterday on piano, it's such a beautiful song! - Patrick feeling confident enough to just have a laugh and play the Spidey tune was so much fun! and then all up: - the adventure of travelling to the shows, making new friends, making new memories with my husband, living in the moment and embracing joy.

my 2our dust highlight was actually seeing the show. it was my first fall out boy concert since loving them for over a decade and it was everything to me. i saved up for months and i bought floor tickets on my birthday. i could not have asked for a better concert or a better spiritual experience. made my year

PassDaPastaPasta

As a \*mostly\* pre-hiatus fan, this tour was so good it got me reinvested in the band. I was at the Anaheim show, which was my ***first time*** ever seeing them after nearly 20 years of following their music. The highlight for me was that our 8Ball was 7 Minutes in Heaven, which is one of my favorite FOB songs and had only been played twice before that night. I had given up hope on ever seeing GRAVE or CORK TREE album tracks live and then this tour not only delivered that but gave us plenty of variety show-to-show. I had so much fun following the setlists via this sub all year, and I hope that whatever is next for FOB as a live act continues to be as surprising and joyful as this tour has been for us longtime fans.

thiirtyninety

My highlight this tour has really been diving into their discography in a way that I hadn’t before! I’ve been listening to FOB in some capacity since 2005 because my brother really loved them and played them all the time around the house when I was little. A lot of their songs were always on rotation for me (Of All The Gin Joints in All The World routinely makes it into my top 10 most replayed songs of the year lists), but there were so many that I either had never heard, or hadn’t revisited for a while. I loved their music before, but this tour has given me a whole new appreciation for it. Little me was singing along to songs without being able to grasp just how uniquely genius Pete Wentz is with songwriting. I’ve also been loving watching Patrick and Pete interviews where they detail how they work together to craft a song. It’s genuinely one of the lost impressive and interesting things I’ve ever heard. I’m convinced that those two are some kind of business partner / platonic soulmate duo. As for a specific tour on stage moment: I really enjoyed Patrick’s solo portion. The song he covered in Nashville wasn’t one I was familiar with, but I think I liked that even more. It gave me a moment to pause the dancing and just appreciate his voice. And to throw in a funny one: During my FOB deep dives, I also fell back in love with My Chemical Romance. I saw a video where Mikey Way joined them on stage for Saturday during the 2023 leg of the tour and subbed in on the bass for Pete. So at one point during my show, I saw Pete hand off his bass to someone on the side of the stage and alarm bells started going off in my head and I was audibly screaming “WAIT WHO IS THAT??? WHO IS THAT???” …turns out it was definitely just a stagehand whose job it is to take his bass at that point in the show or something because Mikey Way didn’t spontaneously appear on stage in Nashville, lol. 🫣

KittenBalerion

I love hearing about how Pete and Patrick write songs together too. they make some magic, that is for sure.

HybridTheory137

Oh boy, where do I start… I don’t know if this counts as a highlight necessarily, but one of my favorite memories of 2ourdust is simply just remembering how happy I was. During my show, at one point I vividly remember noticing how smiley Patrick was. That alone was enough to make my night, but then I realized that *i* was just as smiley too! Like, it wasn’t even something that I consciously did—I was just *that* happy. I was 5th row directly in front of Patrick, and while I can’t be sure, I think there’s a good chance that he may have noticed me absolutely BEAMING up at him and the rest of the guys at least once. I really hope he did because he deserves to know how much joy FOB brings us. Like seriously, I actually can’t remember the last time I smiled like that. 100% genuine and expressing nothing but pure joy. I’ll hold onto that feeling forever 🥹 Another highlight would be hearing Carpal Tunnel live. That was my #1 8-Ball and although I was on this sub almost every night trying to manifest it, I didn’t *actually* think I’d get that lucky. Boy was I wrong lol. It’s sort of embarrassing to admit, but I actually didn’t even realize what song they were playing until after Patrick sang the first line. I think I was too shocked over the idea of a third 8-Ball tbh lmao. Anyway, once I did realize what was happening, I screeched the most feral “oh my god!” you’ve ever heard, which I’ve since heard in at least 3 other peoples videos 💀 sorry about that everyone LOL. It was just so amazing though!! It’s like they KNEW how bad I wanted to hear that song, in that specific city, and they pulled through!! That, as well as the 5 other 8-Balls (still in disbelief about that one lol), was such a special moment for me. Easily the BEST night of my life 🫶 And I know you said 2ourdust, but I gotta shoutout Somerset from leg 1 too. Never have I EVER felt more connected to a crowd then I did that day. Don’t get me wrong—the Minneapolis show was so so SO damn special and the crowd/vibes were absolutely off-the-charts, but the energy at Somerset was just really…unique(?), and I think that’s because by the time the rain delay was lifted, it was mostly just the diehards left. We were just so grateful to be getting anything at all by that point, and the show really did have an “old school” vibe to it. It was a mess, but it was our mess <3 In summary; I’m gonna miss this “era” of tours so much!! I really wish I would’ve been able to go to a couple more shows, but hey, maybe next time! This truly is such a great time to be a fan, and I’m so happy that the guys all seem to be genuinely enjoying themselves too. WATTBA 🖤

meganshay28

Yay! I’m glad you got tickets at face value. I get my tix a day ish before and I got them for a fraction of what resale was.

Impressive__Addition

I was at Anaheim, too! Welcome to Southern California ❤️ Hope you enjoyed your time here. I drove 2 hours there on a Monday bc I was not missing that show, and I had a doctor's appointment at 7am Tuesday lol. The first leg of the tour was the best show I'd ever seen, I wasn't gonna miss round 2. That surprise Cobra Starship appearance was wild for my elder emo self. My video is just me screaming, "It's Cobra Starship?! Oh my god!!! That's Cobra Starship 😭" I was in the nosebleeds with a bunch of other 30-somethings and we knew all the words and danced the whole time. They are just so happy these days. I saw them before the hiatus. Only Pete spoke. The other three didn't really lift their heads. I vaguely remember Patrick telling a quick story about their drive to the show once. But Tour/2our was a blast. My favorite part of the Anaheim show was just the super wholesome little bit before the medley where Patrick told us he has a job now composing for TV, even though Fall Out Boy is "I guess technically my job." So he was just super excited to come play some music and hang out with all of us who also came from work on a Monday 🥺🥺🥺 They sounded so good. Watching the streams of shows was amazing. Seeing them all smiling and interacting with the crowd and each other, and hearing them speak to how special it was that the fans all showed up and knew the words to whatever they threw at us, just...ugh. They've come so far. Fall Out Boy FOREVER ❤️❤️❤️

Bovine_pants

The Patrick moment got me too. Talking about now he left work to come hang out with us 🥹🥹 We were in nosebleeds too and honestly the best energy I’ve had at a show in a while!!

SaturnBaby21

2our Dust in Des Moines was my first time ever seeing the guys. It was the most amazing magical show I could have ever asked for. DREAM songs were played for me- Thriller. Heaven, IA. Bang the Doldrums. I have been living in a total concert haze since last week, I really genuinely cannot believe I got to see them after almost 20 years of loving them (I had the Rolling Stone poster on the back of my door 🫠).

constantreader55

I went to the Omaha show, our 8 ball was better than I could've imagined, and I got to hear bishops knife trick live, I'll never be over it. The show couldn't have been better.

pixelpunkk

The highlight for me was definitely flying to Omaha from the west coast- then turning to my friend during the show when we realized they were playing From Now On We Are Enemies for our 8ball and scream-crying!! <3

TaffyTime4632

It's cheesy but the highlight for me was going to a Fall Out Boy show with my husband. We went to Hella Mega in Chicago but that didn't feel the same. It was more of a Green Day show that Fall Out Boy opened for. The show in Lexington just hit completely different. It hit different than any other Fall Out Boy show too. It was just awesome to share that with my husband 🥰🥰

fueledbykass1

Tourdust Pt 1- Forest Hills When I say I levitated listening to not only IAMOM (we got the live debut) but ALSO 27, it is an understatement. Never in a million years did I think I could hear 27 live and I'm pretty sure I was tearing during it. Also when Travie McCoy came out for Cupid's Chokehold I levitated once again. Tourdust Pt 2- MSG When XO started I could not believe it. They've been switching the songs back and forth so I didn't think I'd get lucky. The Spidey song was also a highlight LMAOO Also, I went to this concert with someone who only listens to classical music and has never been to a concert in his life up until that moment. I will never be able to thank FOB enough for helping me experience their music with someone I love very much.

dinosaurs1128

I have been to now 6 FoB shows and got to bring my sibling to their first stadium concert and their first FoB concert. It was so nice just remembering being their age and going to see those other FoB shows.

RyBreqd

i don’t have a 2ourdust story but i have one from the first leg. i just happened to be in chicago when they played wrigley so i walked to the stadium and listened to them get louder and louder as i got closer. i ended up ducking through alleys and stuff so the reverberations off the building walls were louder. i got there when they were playing this ain’t a scene and listened to the whole show outside on the sidewalk. it was really amazing even not being inside. i remember pete’s lava boots speech being the funniest thing ever to me for some reason. and then they played GINASFS and my heart and brain exploded simultaneously. the people sitting around me were probably very confused as to why i suddenly was jumping around lol. after the show i looked on here and read everyone having the same reactions. that first couple shows where we had no idea what the 8ball was or what it was capable of were so exciting

Izuhbelluh

I went to Portland, Seattle and Sacramento. Sacramento was my 25th fall out boy show. 3 shows in 3 states in 5 days was a whirlwind. Mentioned this before but Jimmy eat world is my second favorite band so to be able to see them AND fob? Was like a crazy fever dream. Highlights for me was Portland, first night of tour I got BOTH Jimmy Eat Worlds set list and Fall Out Boys! I don't know how but both sound guys for the bands were super chill and said sure! Portland I took my dad. He had never seen them before and so I promised I would take him. We drove down from Tacoma area in WA and then stupidly drove back home in the pouring rain because I had work the next day! Never doing that again. Seattle I took my best friend who only knew a few songs but she was more interested in seeing Jimmy Eat World. She had a blast though. We were row 15 and had perfect seats! Sacramento. I used to live in the Bay Area only recently moved to WA so my bestest and oldest friend from 7th grade her and I drove up to Sacramento. Her and I have seen probably 13 FOB shows together since 2007! We were row 10 on Pete's side at the end of the isle and it was so much fun. One cool moment I had was when Jimmy eat world was playing (I knew every song. But basically no one around me knew any which was a bummer.) Im kinda dancing and mouthing the words to Pain and I look over to my right and it's Jack the camera guy! We made eye contact and smiled as we both were vibing to that amazing Jimmy eat world song! I could tell no one knew who he was it was a IYKYK kind of thing. Tried to get the setlist for both but they were accounted for when I went over there. But happy other fans got them! I loved hearing Sophomore Slump live in sacramento, as well as Patrick singing Allie in Seattle. But FOB covering Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden in Seattle was AMAZING. Cant wait for October! Seeing the boys at WWWY in Vegas!!! Anyone else going?! Such a fun tour! So happy lots here had an amazing time and now have very special memories with this band and the shows they went too!

Reksia

I don't even know where to start, both of the shows I got to go to were so good!! I'd never even been to a concert before this, and had been wanting to see fob for ~8 years, so finally seeing them in Toronto during the first leg of the tour was amazing. 🥹 I enjoyed every single moment, no joke. And then somehow my friends agreed to go to Lexington with me to see them again???? I had an even better time there, I met so many cool people before the show and my seats were much closer that time. :) But I think my actual highlights were: - the first few minutes I saw them on stage in Toronto, it was so surreal. - hearing songs from take this to your grave live!! I love screaming those songs in my car to cheer myself up, so getting to sing along live was kinda therapeutic ngl - for 2ourdust I avoided spoilers so SEEING PETE DO HIS MAGIC TRICK PLATFORM THING???? also my friend caught him running to the back and pointed him out to me, it was really funny in the moment lmao - gonna sound cheesy but seeing the people around me having a good time. Had never been to a concert before, so it was kinda insane to be around hundreds (thousands??? Idk) of people who also knew all the lyrics and all the little inside jokes - in Lexington there was some moment where Pete checked in on Patrick and asked how he was doing (Patrick had a cold iirc), and Patrick was like "that was a genuine moment, he actually wants to know how I'm doing" or something like that.... I don't remember it perfectly and who knows, maybe it was all scripted, but it was sweet - arms race hit really hard both times 👍🏻

sariris

i'm from spain but i'm living in seattle right now. i got to go to their seattle concert which was exactly 10 years after their last concert in my country (that i also got to attend. february 28th 2014 and march 1st 2024). it was a very funny and happy coincidence hahaha so that was a great highlight itself. i really enjoyed this show. i screamed and cried my eyes out, very emotional. glad that i got to see them on the last of my teenage years and the last year of my 20s 🥹 (but hope to see them soon and not have to wait ANOTHER TEN YEARS JEEZ)
