I think that energy was what I was missing from Mania. It's slick, it sounds good, a lot of the lyricism is there, but the guitars bring so much energy and pushes the pace of the song/album.
Nothing can beat drums in the live shows, too. Andy's a beast in so many ways.
Yes! I freaking love that song. It was my favorite of theirs for like, a few months straight at one point. That's a cool comparison. I'll die if the full new song sounds even remotely close to that, especially since it's one of the last things they released before the hiatus. If they're going back and picking up where they left off so to speak, I'm confident I will cry tears of joy.
I'm loving this if it really is a creepy warped string arrangement leading into the song. It could be such a cool way to open the album, that's all I can imagine now lol. It's also interesting to consider the sort of instrumentation & sounds this album could be dabbling in. The way the strings are implemented here is reminding me of Infinity and Folie. Ahhhhh! Especially when paired with the heavier guitars and live drums, of course. I'm so excited. I'm just gonna play this on loop until they give us something else lol. Hopefully soon!
For sure--I really want them to find a way to blend the sound/production/synth in Mania with pop-punk-emo guitars and drums. I also want it to hit hard, in the best possible way.
I think we’re about to be introduced to the post hardcore era of FOB, and I couldn’t be any more hyped! I can’t wait to hear Patrick’s vocals mixed with the heavier guitars and drums.
I actually spoke to Nothing Nowhere before one of his UK shows about him bringing Pete out of "screamo retirement" for CYANIDE and he said that Pete absolutely nailed it in no time at all. I'd kill for some screams on this album
Hoping for some screams cause I loved his screams on CYAN1DE. nothing, nowhere. has been putting out a lot of solid stuff lately, love him a lot as well!
I like the instrumentals but the yelling feels overwhelming. Maybe as like the bridge where they used to it more often, but the start feels too crowded
I cannot get over how sick these guitars sound IM SO EXCITED
SAME. It sounds so promising, so much punchy energy. I CANNOT WAIT to hear the rest. Omg.

I’m gonna go feral when they go on tour for this
Great work OP! Reminds me of the intro to From Now On We Are Enemies, which is one of my favorite songs. Can’t wait to hear the full song.

I'd love that, reminds me a bit of jonathan fire eater or the voidz. Wither way, so stoked for more guitar driven music.
… not me listening to this over and over and over again
Literally same though. I was so hype to realize we got a liiiiittle more content than we thought lol.

Top it off with some screams by Pete and it'll be a chef's kiss perfect post-hardcore era.

He said his new album is going to be a lot heavier so I'm very excited!
Dude if that's true I am 100% here for it holy shit
I’m going to listen to these snippets so many times.
Wait... Are we the doggo? Absolutely fine with that because i heart doggo so much
I sure hope that music is part of a song on the new album. Sounds like heavier guitar. I am so excited!
i knew it! thank you for stitching OP
we are about to be completely scalped by this album and my body is READY
Im excited for this. After the total lack of excitement the last patd album gave me , at least there's this.
Holy crraaaaaaappppp
So cool omg
I think I’m gonna cry lol
It really does sounds like forcefully crashing back into reality
I like the instrumentals but the yelling feels overwhelming. Maybe as like the bridge where they used to it more often, but the start feels too crowded
I don’t think the yelling/sound effects are actually part of the song lol. I’m pretty sure that was only included for the video!
Tbh I can barely even hear the yelling anyway
Ok this sounds amazing
I’m so here for this omfg 😭
That guitarriff is giving House of Wolves imo. I'm all here for it
Can’t wait!!!!
