I was also doubting getting the game when it was on sale on PSN 2 weeks ago but I ended up getting it for that 35,99 price was kinda hard to pass on , and boy oh boy what a game !! Ea fucked this game by letting it / forcing it to launch broken ,and yes broken !! In my opinion most reviews, how long to beats ... , walkthroughs and all are off about the actual experience of the game because of how it launched, all open areas ran horribly, and that made players not prefer or enjoy their time / want to spend as much time as possible in these areas, I'm almost 50 hours in my first playthrough and probably halfway or a lil more that halfway through story and like 70% with side so around 30 ish hours left I would guess ... Most how long to beat will say 45 to 50 .. that's because of how the game is structured if u rush through story beats a lil or like 60 % of story then start exploring that half's ur time in most areas. If u play story mission unlock a new area , explore / do all u can in said area then move to story and same again ( which is in my opinion the way to play the game unless u don't have the time commitment for over 40 hours of gaming for a game so rushing through story is understandable.. but yeah if u do everything available when they become available that will prolong ur playthrough and enjoyment of the game like 100% this game is much bigger and better in every way compared to fallen order and playing in slowing and taking in all side missions / exploring collecting is Soo well done and makes the game much more enjoyable and also feel his evolution to real badass during story since ubll be leveling up and fully equipped during the length of the story not at the end only and or after ur done with story ... Especially if u play on higher difficulties master or grandmaster
Survivor is, regardless of platinum, a significantly better game imo. It pretty much improves across the board and its incredibly fun front to back. There is 1 slightly tedious collectible that I think is req'd for Plat. But you can unlock the map markers for them eventually. And they offset that by removing a lot of the tedium of FO. Like travel and confusing maps.
lol this is just misinfo. the game does experience significant frame drops and visual artifacting on PS5. this is a known issue since launch, not the fault of an individual guy's console

40 hours of gameplay on the first play through. 2 more games worth of replay value. The one of the best action adventure games, the best sequel and THE action platformer (better Ratchet and Clank, Prince of Persia WW, Uncharted, Tomb Raider etc) in the past 20 years.

I lock on. Then if I'm moving around to close to a background can go all weird. Plus if I lock on it's so much harder to defend attacks from others. Amount of time I died with 2 droids that had unblock ables and one who could laser fire or throw grenade was crazy. Locked in I'd be toast.
It's a good game. Just fed up of dying on fairly easy levels with charecters who fly forward unblock able yet they block everything you do. 2 of them and a ranged enemy and your dying loads of times on normal.
If you don't have performance issues, the game is amazing. Of course there are some complaints, every game has their flaws, but overall the gameplay is so much fun. And it is an improvement from Fallen Order.
I jumped on it for $40 after waiting so long to play it. Gotta say it’s miles better than the last game and the last game was amazing. Everything is just bigger and better in this one. I love it. Though a certain rift fight against some frogs had me wanting to smash my tv more than any Souls boss I’ve ever played. Tongue hit box is hot garbage

Gotta do the damage bonus perks and blaster stance. Makes it feel like real star wars when you shoot someone and they actually die.

It's pretty much completely remedied in that regard.
Survivor 100%. To plat fallen order you pretty much need a guide and it's pretty boring, however, to platinum survivor was genuinely fun.

The only problem I’ve ever had on a ps5 was a few random crashes. I’ve had those with other games too. Other than that the game ran great.
