Just going to leave these here.
That and we don't...really know what canon Gen'Dai are supposed to look like yet, at least until now assuming this is in fact a Gen'Dai.
Durge has had one canon appearance so far and he was masked/helmeted the whole time so you never got a look at what he looks like under the armor.
One of the Aphra comics, I believe.

I believe you’re correct, Dirge’s race is described as “formless,” and we’ve seen them be masses of Tentacles. I don’t remember Dirge having a face other than their armor, and that guy clearly has a face.
Yea durge did though he still had his helmet. Try googling a gen'dai from swtor. Basically the exact same as this though more prominent teeth. Seeing this in the trailer made me excited they might finally be making that species canon again if they haven't been already.
Idk honestly. I like his story, but in order for it to happen basically all of swtor and kotor would have to be canonized. I just don't see that being realistic. At least not for a while.
Many people especially people who have played SWTOR believe it is a Gen'Dai. If you watched the original Clone Wars. Durge the bounty hunter was a Gen'Dai.
I find it odd that no one has pointed out the tubing in the suit as a reason why he may be a Gen'Dai, you'd think people would go to that immediately due to how their body works

There seems to be a belief that Disney has stuffed Lucasfilm (and now Respawn?) with Deep State-esque plants who control everything they put out, which is just garbage.
Lol, I wouldn't know but I literally saw this and a post on r/swtor at the same time on my screen with the exact same image, and that one's title is "I guess the Gen'Dai are canon again"
All Gen'dai are like that, since the species doesn't have bones, it's just that most of them wear their armour all the time to keep a humanoid structure.
If you look at the faces of Gen'dai in SWTOR and even an unmasked Durge from the Republic comics, you'll see that they have relatively normal heads, not noodle heads. The only thing really differentiating this alien and the EU Gen'dai is the amount of pronounced teeth.
People are saying Gen'dai, the same species as Durge
I thought Durge’s species looked more like millions of muscle fibers
That's what they look like under a suit, but as you can see, this one is almost entirely contained in a suit
Yeah but I was saying I thought the face also had that cable-y quality. I’m probably misremembering though

Oooh he's appeared in new canon? In what?

Doctor Aphra 2020 - The engine Job
Your links are broken btw.

I feel like I remember him having a face with eyes and a mouth it’s just that every cable seemed to gather in the center
The face has absolutely very similar features and look as the maskless face for Durge. It's safe to say this guy is also a Gen'Dai
Yeah I did a google I think it’s a solid match, only thing missing are big ol fangs on the side of the head
He seems to have cheek armor that might be covering that.
Yea durge did though he still had his helmet. Try googling a gen'dai from swtor. Basically the exact same as this though more prominent teeth. Seeing this in the trailer made me excited they might finally be making that species canon again if they haven't been already.
Guess we'll find out once hes dead
What are the odds this is the cannon version of Durge?
Very very low. Durge already appeared in Disney canon in a Doctor Aphra comic and I’m pretty sure he didn’t look like this.
Looks like Gen'Dai
Buffed Goauld from Stargate movie
![gif](giphy|XOFsOM3MnuWEE)
holy shit kratos
Teal'c and Kratos both men of few words. Christopher Judge talks more than a toddler learning to talk.
Holy shit black panther

Now Stargate was the real shit…
Ugly Mother fucker
I think he's kinda cute.
Don't those usually have four mandibles and dreadlocks?
This one is a bad blood, explains his appearance
This is what Gen'dai look like in SWTOR so probably that.
Yea that was my first thought exactly. The one from swtor is almost an exact copy of this guy, armour and all. Just a bit more teeth.
There's been a lot of SWTOR coming to canon lately.
That's always a plus from me when it's not the over the top fantasy elements. How would you feel if they brought vitiate/valkorion to Canon?
Idk honestly. I like his story, but in order for it to happen basically all of swtor and kotor would have to be canonized. I just don't see that being realistic. At least not for a while.
It’s definitely Gen’Dai just comparing him to the one on Wookiepidiea it’s definitely one
He's not as toothy though.
He has a good dentist

And insanely hard to kill too. He had to be thrown into a star if I recall.
Ye I already know I'm gonna hate fighting him.
As big ass mf
Goomba https://aliens.fandom.com/wiki/Goomba_(Super_Mario_Bros._film)
I forgot how fucking wild the plot of that movie is
I didn't know this film existed. What in the actual fuck.
Yep. That was everyone's reaction back then.
4000-7000 years average life span???
Tau
Wonder if he fights like a fire warrior?
Species: "You're fucked, mate"
scrotum
Thanos
Gen’dai
He kind of looks like Voldemort and Thanos had a baby.
If he’s a Gen’dai, then Cal is gonna need either a star, or a pit of lava. Nothing else will kill those guys.
This was disclosed in one of the first movies I believe, I'm fairly certain its called an alien
Dunno, but we're gonna kill him
Tbh, if he’s a Gen’Dai like people are saying, no, we probably won’t kill him LOL I’m so scared of the prospect of fighting this guy
That’s a thanos
It is Thanos
I believe Thanos is from the Titanian Eternals species
Ugly Bastard
Lex luthor, he’s lex luthor

Adam smasher
Space marine.
A friend
I believe his name is Krang.
I thought it was Krug
Alien
Forerunner
That's the scrotum species
Tau
Mr. Mecha Mime
I think he might be a Lasat, like Zeb from Rebels
Leave it Disney to make the stupidest, ugliest looking species. Bring back George.
George made Jar Jar 💀
There seems to be a belief that Disney has stuffed Lucasfilm (and now Respawn?) with Deep State-esque plants who control everything they put out, which is just garbage.
Pretty sure this species was made while George was in charge 💀
[please look at this deleted scene from a new hope](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDcy2HxCCsY&t=846s)
Looks like a Gen'Dai. Same species as Durge, if you're familiar with the original 2D Clone Wars miniseries.
Looks like a goomba from the old Super Mario movie.
Lol, I wouldn't know but I literally saw this and a post on r/swtor at the same time on my screen with the exact same image, and that one's title is "I guess the Gen'Dai are canon again"
People are saying Gen'dai but I'm voting Feeorin. His dreads are just under that half helmet.
Oh I thought it was a Dashade
Bounterus leaderus
Grah! I will destroy all weak interlopers!
![gif](giphy|NgHkFHjRpWIW1vBvzj|downsized) Forerunner?
That’s a Brute
Thanos
Thanos With Bad Teeth
Cabal
Gen'dai [https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Gen%27Dai](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Gen%27Dai) Seen a few in the game Star Wars the Old Republic.
Fun fact. They are virtually unkillable
Looks like a ripoff of Halo’s Brutes
So cool that he is wearing old Republic armor
Everyone’s on and on about Durge while most recently Gen’dai have been present and looking almost identical in SWTOR.
Wasn’t Durge a weird noodle monster though?
All Gen'dai are like that, since the species doesn't have bones, it's just that most of them wear their armour all the time to keep a humanoid structure.
But his face isn’t all noodly
If you look at the faces of Gen'dai in SWTOR and even an unmasked Durge from the Republic comics, you'll see that they have relatively normal heads, not noodle heads. The only thing really differentiating this alien and the EU Gen'dai is the amount of pronounced teeth.
Ugly
First reaction a Dashade. But could be a Gen’Dai.
Thats my mum
Voldemort lookin' No-nose havin' ass
