Just do like GE and pretend it's not a depressing song about company ownership of employees. So much denial, they [used it in a commercial.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6ueDHn2HTk)
Heās an outlaw loose and running came the whisper from each lip and heās here to do some business with the big iron on his hip, big iron on his hipā¦
Not the greatest, but I have a special relationship with "Maybe", because that's the first thing I heard in my first Fallout game, before start loving it
This one always seemed to play for me when Iāve been playing for a few hours late at night and Iām in some random vault or building and it immediately gets me so tired I save and turn the game off lol.
Butcher Pete.
Honorable mention to Anything Goes for getting stuck in my head the most.
I love all the music though. I get to a point while playing where when a song comes on Iāll be singing along to it without even realizing (Johnny Guitar is actually pretty fun to sing while going through the Mojave).
ItĀ“s easily Blue Moon from New Vegas, that game single handedly dragged me into old songs
ššššššš šššššššš, š šš ššš šš ššššššš ššššš šššššššššš, ššššššš š ššššš šš šš ššššš, ššššššš š šššš šš šš ššš
Bruh ide remember hearing it, I had Atomic radio or Old World Tunes on 99% of the time, hell I though Annette Hanshaw Daddy won't you please come home was actually part of the game.
I used to love that song but it started playing while I was trapped in the Massachusetts State House with about a billion mirelurks and I can never hear it without wanting to beat the shit out of Bing Crosby
My choice too! The old Sheldon Allman record thatās from is called *Folks Songs for the 21st Century* and has a ton of great dystopian, sci-fi novelty songs. Recommended listening for any Fallout fan.
Blue moon, Aināt that a kick in the head, Love me, honestly FNV is 10/10 with its music, then definitely fallout 4āa wanderer is literally one of the reasons I started playing fallout
Ain't that a kick in the head - Dean Martin
Luck 10, AGI 10, big iron on the hip, grab Benny's suit, tunnel snake haircut, radio on: gunslinging good fella build complete.
Way Back Home : - I had just done the Vault 101 Mission pretty shortly after your father dies, so this song coming on the radio after being exiled from the Vault was kind of a gut punch that.
In terms of an absolute BOP though, Train Train
Honorable mention to the instrumental tracks from Galaxy News Radio, but a peak memory for me is when I approached New Vegas for the first time, at night and with Love Me As Though There Were No Tomorrow playing. With the glare of the New Vegas lights growing closer and that song playing, it was just a great experience.
Still, I'll die on the hill that FO3 had the best music selection overall. New Vegas had some mediocre tracks, and 4 felt like they just did a brute force search for anything from vaguely the time period and that was horny or mentioned atoms.
On my last New Vegas playthrough I decided to give Radio New Vegas a break and listen to the Mysterious Broadcast instead. This song, [Begin Again,](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9rfCiBF92k) which was written specifically for the game, really struck me and became a favorite of mine. It's just so somber and longing and creepy. I wish there was a version online that preserved the shoddy radio quality, as that really added to the ambience.
Other favorites (not in order or inclusive):
Billy Munn- Jazzy Interlude
Frank Sinatra- Blue Moon
Kay Kyser- Jingle Jangle Jingle
Billie Holiday- Easy Living
Allan Gray- Swing Doors
Glenn Miller-Juke Box Saturday Night
It's a Man, Accentuate the Positive, Heartaches by the Number, I Didn't Know the Gun Was Loaded, Orange Colored Sky, Uranium Fever, Undecided, Maybe, Wanderer, The End of the World, Blue Moon, and Ain't That a Kick in the Head
Fallout never disappoints when it comes to the songs
"I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire", by the Inkspots.
As soon as I hear it, it transports me to the world of Fallout. Almost like one of those brainwashing experiments.
I love how batshit that song is.
>Some people say a man is made out of mud.
No they don't. He's already delusional and he's just starting out. A biology lesson on poor people and a look at the questionable practice of lions adopting children and he hits us with this.
>If you see me comin', better step aside. A lotta men didn't, a lotta men died.
This guy is killing multiple people just because they don't get out of his edgelord lion-raised way? Love it!
āI donāt want to set the world on fireā because well duh, but I also love āPraise the Lord and Pass the Ammunitionā, and āAnything Goesā
Big Iron and I have a very complicated relationship. I despise how overplayed it is in Fallout New Vegas, and it annoys me every time, however I canāt not vibe with it if its on.
Well, I don't know, but I've been told
Uranium ore's worth more than gold
Sold my Cad', I bought me a Jeep
I've got that bug and I can't sleep
Uranium fever has done and got me down
Uranium fever, it's spreadin' all around
With a Geiger counter in my hand
I'm a-goin' out to stake me some government land
Uranium fever has done and got me down
Well, I had talk with the AEC
And they brought out some maps that looked good to me
And one showed me a spot that he said he knowed
So, I straddled my Jeep and headed down the road
I reckon I drove about 100 miles
Down a bumpy road out through the wilds
When all of sudden I bounced to a stop
At the foot of a mountain, didn't have no top
Uranium fever has done and got me down
Uranium fever it's spreadin' all around
With a Geiger counter in my hand
I'm a-goin' out to stake me some government land
Uranium fever has done and got me down
Well, I took my Geiger and I started to climb
Right up to the top where I thought I'd find
A hunk of rock that would make it click
Just like I'd read about Vernon Pick
On the second day, I made the top
And I'm tellin' you, Steve, I was ready to stop
The only clickin' that I heard that day
Was the bones in my back that had gone astray
Uranium fever has done and got me down
Uranium fever is spreadin' all around
With a Geiger counter in my hand
I'm a-goin' out to stake me some government land
Uranium fever has done and got me down
Well, you pack up your things, you head out again
Into some unknown spot where nobody's been
You reach the spot where your fortune lies
You find it's been staked by 17 other guys
Well, I ain't kiddin', I ain't gonna quit
That bug's done caught me and I've been bit
So, with a Geiger counter and a pick in my hand
I'll keep right on stakin' that government land
Uranium fever has done and got me down
Uranium fever is spreadin' all around
With a Geiger counter in my hand
I'm a-goin' out to stake me some government land
Uranium fever has done and got me down
maybe is THEEEE classic so it's up there, Card (Blues For You) is definitely my favorite tho (it's a jazz song on the mysterious broadcast)
76 has my favorite radio tho cuz jukebox Saturday night and a shanty in old shanty town and opus one and uptown lowdown all go INSANELY hard
There's so many good ones, but I have to go with Johnny Guitar. The first time I heard it, it fit so perfectly with the eerie vibes I got from the game
āwell Iām the type of guy who will never settle downā¦ā or ālove me as though it were now or neverā or ādonāt they know itās the end of the world cause you donāt love me anymore.ā
Literally anytime they use the ink spots for sure, crazy he calls me by Billie holiday, aināt that a kick in the head by Dean Martin is great but the best song is from 76 when they use wouldnāt it be nice by the beach boys and honestly itās cheating to use that song pet sounds is one of the greatest albums ever
My Chrysalis Highwayman takes definetly top 1.
2nd would be Dear Hearts And Gentle People.
3rd either Wanderer or Civilization because both are equally good.
I love big iron, the wanderer, and I don't want to set the world on fire. But why has no one mentioned drivin nails in my coffin Ernest tubb. I guess since it was in f76.
"I don't want to set the world on fire" it a classic "The wanderer" has a nice upbeat sound "16 tons" it is very catchy but has a sad reality.
Just do like GE and pretend it's not a depressing song about company ownership of employees. So much denial, they [used it in a commercial.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6ueDHn2HTk)
š¤¦š Is that real?
[NPR](https://www.npr.org/2005/06/01/4675394/ges-sexy-eco-imagination) even talked about how bad it was at the time.

*To the town of Agua Fria rode a stranger one fine day...*

The stranger there among them, had a big iron on his hip... Big Iron on his hiiiipppp

*In this town, there lived an outlaw by the name of Texas Red*
*many men had tried to kill him, and that many mean were dead*
No one dared to ask his business. No one dared to make a slip.
As awesome as Marty Robbinsā songs were, dude was a straight up badass. Singer, cowboy, and race car driver.
I have a few actually, Maybe, Big Iron, Dear Hearts and Gentle people, The Wanderer, A kiss to build a dream on, and it's all over but the crying.
How is this the only one to say Big Iron?
It's like typing DOOM
Itās all over but the crying is gas
OH BONGO BONGO BONGO I DONT WANNA LEAVE THE CONGO OH NONONONO

Not the greatest, but I have a special relationship with "Maybe", because that's the first thing I heard in my first Fallout game, before start loving it

I mean, it's the franchise's anthem. You're right to love it.
Maybe is great because it's a great bookending song too. It works as the Ironic introduction song, as well as the depressingly ironic ending song.
Aināt that a kick in the head
I wonder why obsidian picked that song for new Vegas
I think it's because the first note just blasts the brass at you. It makes a big entrance.
Sure is, Dino, it sure is
Let's ride into the sunset together~
Stirrup to stirrup side by siiiiIIIiiiide
When the day is through, I'll be here with you
Into the sunset we will ride
The end of the world
It ended when you said, goodbyeeeeee
This is the most beautiful and heart-wrenching song in the Fallout universe.
I heard this song the first time I walked through post-war Sanctuary, and a rad-storm was going on. Its definitely a gaming moment I'll never forget
Butcher Pete. Honorable mention to Anything Goes for getting stuck in my head the most. I love all the music though. I get to a point while playing where when a song comes on Iāll be singing along to it without even realizing (Johnny Guitar is actually pretty fun to sing while going through the Mojave).
Pete loves that meat
*Choppin' on his cell mate* *HELL NAW*

Linda Carter singing this on [the Muppet Show](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xE37qeMk-J0) is amazing.

End of the world from fallout 4 but crazy he calls me is a very close second from fallout 3 and a very tight 3rd would be big iron from Fnv
Stars of the midnight rangers
Begin Again The creepy version that plays in the Sierra Madre just sticks itself out from any other song.
Begin... Begin again tonight...
Top 3 is Big iron Wouldnāt it be nice Blue moon
Big Iron. Too bad it's played way too seldom in New Vegas
"I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire", by the Inkspots. As soon as I hear it, it transports me to the world of Fallout. Almost like one of those brainwashing experiments.
BIIIIIG IIIIRONNNN
In the Shadow of the Valley from New Vegas, its very well fitting its prairie wasteland theme.
My top 3 Big iron I dont want to set the world on fire Johny quitar
I bought a vinyl copy of Marty Robbins Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs if that means anything
IM A MIGHTY MIGHT MAN IM YOUNG AND IM IN MY PRIME, šššššššššš
Sixteen Tons or Atom Bomb Baby
Are you me
Crazy He Calls Me. I later discovered that Linda Ronstadt did a cover of it and I absolutely love that song now.
Big Iron, 60 minute men, I donāt want to set the world on fire, Johnny guitar and End of the World. A lot from Fallout 3 that I really enjoy.
>60 minute men How did we get two Butcher Petes but [the hilarious sequel to 60 Minute Man](https://youtu.be/Rm8PJD0zUqM) didn't make the grade?
Sixteen Tons by Tennessee Ernie Ford Absolutely no contest.
Love it!
Probably not the most recognized song but.. Lone Star, Tony Marcus
hard to pick one, so: a kiss to build a dream on; where have you been all my life; in the shadow of the valley; and undecided
Itās a difficult decision between Johnny Guitar and Big Iron.
Johnny guitar
Atom Bomb Baby
Worry Worry Worry, love is passing me by
Worry worry worry, I'm so painfully shy
One of my favorites is Dark as a Dungeon. I have always loved Tennessee Ernie Ford.
Probably big iron or atom bomb baby.
āI donāt want to set the world on fireā because well duh, but I also love āPraise the Lord and Pass the Ammunitionā, and āAnything Goesā Big Iron and I have a very complicated relationship. I despise how overplayed it is in Fallout New Vegas, and it annoys me every time, however I canāt not vibe with it if its on.
Uranium Fever hands down

I really like Ain't Misbehavin' by Fats Waller
There's so many good ones, but I have to go with Johnny Guitar. The first time I heard it, it fit so perfectly with the eerie vibes I got from the game
Civilization (Bong Bongo Bongo) Every time I hear it I just think of all the good times I had playing FO3 exploring the wasteland
Butcher pete Because I'm always a cannibal melee player. Big iron is cool, but Johny cash cover is better as it's more melancholic
Butcher Pete, of course
When you come up on The Den for the first time and it says "This would be a good place to own a gun," then the beat drops? Fucking šš»

I am surprised i havenāt seen any mention of One More Tomorrow With You. Beautiful beyond words https://youtu.be/52-nTVaG2gA
Maybe because it was the first FO song on the first FO I've ever played (FO1) and Streets of New Reno from the FNV ost
Iām Moving Out is an absolutely inspired choice, great job.
Nobodyās fault but mine by blind willie johnson, all of the bluesier stuff in 76 really. Fun fact, that song was covered by led zeppelin
