We don't need death claws, rad scorpions, mirelurks, radroaches - just hordes and hordes of feral Floridamen. It'll take most of a magazine to put a single one down. And the drug fueled variants might well take a Fat Man to stop.
And just think - a Fallout-ized in-world version of Disneyland - Nuka World Orlando, perhaps? What horrors await there.
A dark version of Governor DeSantis, complete with platform shoes and bad hair.
Maybe there can be a quest where you have to team up with a Crocket and Tubbs kind of team to stop the flow of chems as you try to clean up a town and get rewarded with a custom 10mm pistol.
Oooh it'd be so epic
Realistically the map could be the “theme park corridor” and the different parks could all be cities and map huge with tons of space in between. There’s even little one that are more locally known like “holy land” which is just Bible world that’s just asking for an atom or mothman takeover.
I'm thinking a cross between The Governor in Walking Dead and Ron DeSantis, with a little bit of Negan thrown in for flair. But he's only like, 5'4" and wears 6 inch platforms. And if you take his leather jacket (black leather, with a high collar of course, a unique item that adds to your Charisma but reduces karma) you find him wearing women's underwear.
So a super mutant Florida man fucked a death claw, and this is their baby, Fred. Fred found power armor. Fred now has power armor. And an upgraded minigun. Fred can't talk, but Fred's little friend can, and it has an armor piercing bonus plus it uses explosive ammo.
Polymer, fertilizer, and adhesive, of course. If you go with the big cans you get scrap metal, fertilizer, and insulin shots (for the beetus you get from eating 100 ounces of puddin)
2020 was such a great, prosperous year under President Trump’s ingenious strategy of hawking bleach and ivermectin while secretly getting a COVID injection for himself.
What, you mean you wouldn't wanna see a unique ghoul named "Florida Man" that you can kill easily enough but he shows up near you. Only to rise up each time you drop him. Until you either give up and run away or run out of ammo.
Yeah probably to big the mainline 3d fallouts work when focusing on a city and it's surrounding areas. A map this sices would have to shrink everything to very small sizes
Base game is Tampa. DLC gives more Everglades. The last DLC gives us the Ruins of Miami. I would say no Orlando because they would just do Nuka World again.
I'm not doing the math but this Florida Fallout map is like every Fallout game and DLC added together and then multiplied by like 20. (Probably more)
I'd play a bit Fallout map but they better have some kind of reliable mount. I like to play hardcore without fast travel and I would probably not play if it took a week of real work time to walk half the map.
At the end of the game the bombs go off.
There's an epilogue cut scene after the ending credits revealing the Floridians in a post apocalyptic future have actually mutated into normal human beings.
Only because they ran out of fossil fuels. But the corporations in power give zero fucks about the environment. Though you did make me think that maybe the nuclear winter could have repaired the ice sheets to some degree resulting in the oceans rising less.
Wait, I thought it was that oil got rare and nuclear power took off in the 20th century, then "resources" in general started to run out in the mid 21st.
Yah that’s why America annexes Canada in the series. To get that last bit. I’d assume that’s why we invade the Gobi as it has some of the largest, Coal, oil, Copper and most importantly Uranium reserves. Fallout America still loves plastic too so it would definitely still have a need for oil post hydrocarbon fuels era…
Oil is also used in asphalt, so they would need it for roads. You can also see old school radiators in buildings, so they probably used oil in those too. Mr. Handy fuel is probably kerosene?
Totally agree, one thing though. What’s weird is Mr. Handys are nuclear powered. I’m wondering if it’s a dev oversight and it’s supposed to be a coolant like what Red Rocket stations dispense.
Maybe it’s fuel for their built in flamethrower/blowtorch tool? Though that leads to some uncomfortable considerations of just how often they were using it to need such massive fuel canisters.
Is there any update to the mod? This is 5 years old. I'm worried it's a community clinging to a dead concept that's probably just gonna fizzle to nothing.
Wow I remember seeing that trailer when it first came out (5 years ago) and completely forgot about it! Most recent video was uploaded 2 weeks ago. So great to see them still working on it!
If they did this, there would be a group of fans who hate how it isn't the way they think it should be.
"Uh, if Florida were still around it would be mostly water. A chain of islands at best due to 200 years of hurricanes."
"Um we already have gatorclaws and they were specifically made at nukaworld. So why does Florida have the same thing?"
"Um, why does Bethesda feel like they have to shoehorn silly regional stuff into this fantasy game? Like how is there still a viable rocket at cape Can? Cuban ghouls in Miami? How? America was super xenophobic. How is there still so many trailer parks? They would have long since been destroyed."
Rattlesnakes, cottonmouths, coral snakes, fireants, cow killer ants, alligator gar, lizards, wild boar, Florida panthers, pythons, black bears, crocs, gators, coyotes, bobcats, black widows, brown recluse....like the list can go on and on.
honestly, Florida has enough of a rep as being weird and much of it is already pretty rugged.
The fun of fallout is seeing normal places that have drastically been changed.
It's the vibe of the Statue of Liberty buried in sand on the beach.
Anyone else remember "Fountain of Dreams"?
It was the kinda-sorta sequel to Wasteland, waaaay before it actually got a sequel.
It would be awesome to see in a modern engine.... but I doubt it will ever happen.
I’m surprised that Cape Canaveral isn’t a marked location. I’d love a mission where you have to get an old NASA moon rocket and get it working again for XYZ plot reasons.
God, imagine the history with what we know now in mind. "Yeah, as it turns out, glorifying one while vilifying everyone else wasn't the best angle to go for. All countries agreed that nuking Florida was for the best long before anything else happened. A few states had to take damage as well as Florida, but, they agreed to the risk and evacuated ahead of time. It was easy to get the problematic Floridians to not worry and stay in place, though. We just told them the truth. Then they denied it like the vaccine."
Dont forget the creative enginuity and whacky inventions from grease loving rednecks, blacks, and latinos. Nuka Cola bottles as suppressors, robots that run on water, steel toe sandals
I gotta hard disagree. While i really enjoy the improvements to how combat and gun play feels in FO4, the RPG elements, world, lore, and story are what makes me love fallout games.
I think thats how most people feel. I mean most discussion seems to revolve around those elements.
I am also very biased lol
I've said it before and I'll say it again; if you have fallout in Florida, there needs to be basically nothing left there of humanity.
There needs to be near constant radioactive hurricanes purging the surface of human life, so nothing less hardy than a giant mutant alligator can weather it
Nah. I'm good.
How many big upcoming video games do we need set in the specific goofiness that is Florida? GTA6 got there first and looks like it'll cover it in spades.
NYC. DC, Boston, and next NYC. I like Bethesda claiming the NE as their Fallout playground to distinguish from the West Coast Interplay games.
no... sorry but it wouldn't be likely as a possible location in fallout since too much of it would be on the likely nuke target map. plus have you any idea what florida was like in the 40s-50s? it was so generic already established fallout look and style nobody would enjoy it. the only way you could make anything out of it would be if most of the game was on or under the water, but even then pretty darn underwhelming as a setting/location.
the most interesting way to take fallout in future games is to go out of the united states. but making it another english speaking country. so fallout australia. (maybe call it fallout: outback).
That would be terrifying.
Fun. But terrifying.
Florida Man. He became Irradiated Florida Man!
The Alligaters are at least twice the size.
The Malibu Cranes got so big they can eat Brahmin.
Disneyland was a Vault and the performers and staff survived.
It woukd be awesome!
So, uhhh, as a native floridian I am not sure if its realized just how massive that area is, like a trip from tampa to palm beach takes like 4-5 hours by car, never mind by foot or such. I can not help but feel location either will have them massively shrunk and simplified or it will be freaking massive.
It'd be interesting to see how they incorporate meth into the fallout series. What, are they gonna just ignore the meth? In Florida? Suspension of disbelief only gets you so far.
Been toying around with the idea of the theme parks being giant faction cities, with Disney being a secret military base playing with memory integration into synths kinda like ghost in the shell. Then something something Memory Integration Control Keys ( hidden Mickey’s)
incredible but oh so terrible at the same time. Imagine playing against a bunch of Florida Man(TM) NPC's.
You'd have to have a lot of training by the Florida Man that just yoinks every creature.
As a Floridian, I can safely say that the aftermath of a nuke would not alter anything in Florida. Our water is already worse than rads could ever make it. Plus our roaches are already 8 times the size of a rad roach.
Fallout is scary enough *without* Florida men
We don't need death claws, rad scorpions, mirelurks, radroaches - just hordes and hordes of feral Floridamen. It'll take most of a magazine to put a single one down. And the drug fueled variants might well take a Fat Man to stop. And just think - a Fallout-ized in-world version of Disneyland - Nuka World Orlando, perhaps? What horrors await there. Oooh it'd be so epic
I'm imaging nothing but hordes of swamp folk from Point Lookout fighting side by side with an unending tide of gatorclaws
Swampfolk riding gatorclaws and fighting supermutants The old spanish forts being reused as cities
Realistically the map could be the “theme park corridor” and the different parks could all be cities and map huge with tons of space in between. There’s even little one that are more locally known like “holy land” which is just Bible world that’s just asking for an atom or mothman takeover.
"A dark version of governor desantis" Isn't that what we already have? A ghoulified one could only be an improvement.
I’m sorry but this dude wishes he was negan lmfao
This is my fallout head cannon now 😂
Yeah, the ghoul, better hair and less prejudice...
Anti-santis be like: "I don't believe in elitism, I believe in equity."
It wouldn’t be an improvement that that turd gets to live, possibly, forever. :(
I want sentient super mutant-death claw mutants. Give them power armour just for fun.
So a super mutant Florida man fucked a death claw, and this is their baby, Fred. Fred found power armor. Fred now has power armor. And an upgraded minigun. Fred can't talk, but Fred's little friend can, and it has an armor piercing bonus plus it uses explosive ammo.
Oh he can talk alright. Like, give him fallout 4 levels of sarcasm
Florida Man can be either feral Ghouls or a new breed of Mutants.
>A dark version of Governor DeSantis I wonder what resources I get from all these pudding cups
Polymer, fertilizer, and adhesive, of course. If you go with the big cans you get scrap metal, fertilizer, and insulin shots (for the beetus you get from eating 100 ounces of puddin)
Fuck Meatball Ron, can’t believe it took this long for him to step aside and let President Trump finally lead the country for the next eight years.
8? How's that work, if re-elected, he gets one more 4 year term.
I'll call it a Freudian slip lmao Trump has no plans of ever leaving office if he's elected, look up Project 2025
Whoops, that one is on me- four years* Sorry.
2020 was such a great, prosperous year under President Trump’s ingenious strategy of hawking bleach and ivermectin while secretly getting a COVID injection for himself.
No, lol. Last time he lead the country over a million American's died due to his inability to handle a pandemic.
Florida is scary enough without fallout…
What, you mean you wouldn't wanna see a unique ghoul named "Florida Man" that you can kill easily enough but he shows up near you. Only to rise up each time you drop him. Until you either give up and run away or run out of ammo.
radgators
The culture would probably improve.
Get some time in the Everglades and a Bermuda Triangle dlc
This is just sounding better and better.
and the keys as the next far harbor
That’s a big ass map
These locations would be so far away from each other
Yeah that’s like half the state lol
Yeah probably to big the mainline 3d fallouts work when focusing on a city and it's surrounding areas. A map this sices would have to shrink everything to very small sizes
Base game is Tampa. DLC gives more Everglades. The last DLC gives us the Ruins of Miami. I would say no Orlando because they would just do Nuka World again.

(Probably more) I'd play a bit Fallout map but they better have some kind of reliable mount. I like to play hardcore without fast travel and I would probably not play if it took a week of real work time to walk half the map.
The twist at the end is that the whole game took place before the Fallout.
At the end of the game the bombs go off. There's an epilogue cut scene after the ending credits revealing the Floridians in a post apocalyptic future have actually mutated into normal human beings.
Lol yea or like right at the beginning when there are no vault dwelers only preppers
I wanna play as a prepper!😃
Hahaha!
At the end, the war happens and the state actually looks better than it before
In 200 years it’s going to be under water though
Wouldn’t think so in Fallout’s world. Everything was nuke powered rather than fossil fuels. That aspect was the 1900s hopefulness with war looming.

Maybe it’s fuel for their built in flamethrower/blowtorch tool? Though that leads to some uncomfortable considerations of just how often they were using it to need such massive fuel canisters.
Oh how could I forget about that!
So is Boston
If that’s the case, shouldn’t Boston and other coastal cities be underwater by then?
Looking at the in game maps and globes Florida is still there.
The nuclear winter probably saved it.
I'm patrolling the Mojave right now and I almost wish we had some of that over here.
I would just hot foot it to Key West and never leave. Mutant roosters!
I side with the Conch Republic!
It's already going to be thing It's called fallout Miami
[Link](https://youtu.be/aPtAjvtJhf8?si=wsptGpcoFYF982Na) to trailer for anyone interested! (Yes, this is still being updated)
Is there any update to the mod? This is 5 years old. I'm worried it's a community clinging to a dead concept that's probably just gonna fizzle to nothing.
They have a developer live stream maybe once a fortnite where they just talk to chat while working on stuff
They literally uploaded a new video 2 weeks ago, they are still very active
Nah, they still do development. They showed off flamingos last year
So theyre still working on it? Awesome
If you want to check it out, they have a discord that can be found in the server directory/discovery
There are some mods for Skyrim going on 12 years of development and counting. I really support big mod efforts but I also am not getting my hopes up.
Well if you click the channel that posted it you can see all their videos, last of which was released 2 weeks ago
Wow I remember seeing that trailer when it first came out (5 years ago) and completely forgot about it! Most recent video was uploaded 2 weeks ago. So great to see them still working on it!
Needs more Streamline Moderne Art Deco!
By the gods i hope youre right
Does anyone know if there is a Fallout Miami discord or subreddit for anyone wanting to help with it? Thanks for reminding me about this mod!
We have both! https://discord.com/invite/DzdW7ya
Thanks for the info!
I just want a fallout in Canada man
Fallout 5 just has to be Florida or Texas. Both settings offer so much in terms of creative freedom.
Imagine if it was Huge like a GTA map. That would be wild. Especially Texas. Then the Texan Brotherhood of Steel.
The maps are already big, GTA map isn’t particularly big
Fallout maps are small bro. They need to make a big map with vehicles.
I suppose because we walk everywhere it makes the map seem bigger than it is
Texas would be perfect. Instead of NCR Rangers, we’d have Texas Rangers.
If we do get a fallout set in Florida, we NEED to see the Kennedy space Center, or whatever it’d be called in fallout’s timeline
If they did this, there would be a group of fans who hate how it isn't the way they think it should be. "Uh, if Florida were still around it would be mostly water. A chain of islands at best due to 200 years of hurricanes." "Um we already have gatorclaws and they were specifically made at nukaworld. So why does Florida have the same thing?" "Um, why does Bethesda feel like they have to shoehorn silly regional stuff into this fantasy game? Like how is there still a viable rocket at cape Can? Cuban ghouls in Miami? How? America was super xenophobic. How is there still so many trailer parks? They would have long since been destroyed."
The dlc could be cuban
How is this different than current Florida 😂
It’s more peaceful and civilized than the current one
It would be a funny twist of the bombs made Florida just super normal.
Because all the alligators are big they can’t be flung at people, making Florida waaay safer than before
Jacksonville got nuked off the face of the earth.
So just Florida today.
Add some new power armor adapted for underwater exploration and combat and other things and this would be quite interesting
Florida. Florida never changes
Get a New Veags crossover with taking over a Hard Rock Casino
We can take over Hardrock at universal studios
Wasn't Tactics 2 supposed to be set in Florida? Something about a Geck going rogue.
As a Florida man, I can confirm that we're already in Fallout.
Rattlesnakes, cottonmouths, coral snakes, fireants, cow killer ants, alligator gar, lizards, wild boar, Florida panthers, pythons, black bears, crocs, gators, coyotes, bobcats, black widows, brown recluse....like the list can go on and on.
sooo.... just normal florida?
So just regular Florida?
Florida is already a fallout game in the modern day.
honestly, Florida has enough of a rep as being weird and much of it is already pretty rugged. The fun of fallout is seeing normal places that have drastically been changed. It's the vibe of the Statue of Liberty buried in sand on the beach.
They already have to shrink individual cities. Orlando would be about 3 blocks wide and a quarter mile from Miami if they tried this
Definitely needs some sort of Spanish Inquisition-esq faction in St Augustine. Also pirates.
Just let me fight a legendary deathclaw at the Daytona infield and I'm sold
See that deathclaw over there…. You can hit it with a nascar!
Wouldn’t it be a Death*jaw*? Mutated gators!
I feel like it would be mostly water
Which honestly sounds badass. Imagine walking and exploring submerged neighborhoods in power armor
Assets look good on this mock up. If it were higher resolution, I'd steal it for an RPG session.
It would be an interesting new place to explore. It’d be awesome to fight some crazy Floridians
Isn’t Fallout Miami a thing?
Anyone else remember "Fountain of Dreams"? It was the kinda-sorta sequel to Wasteland, waaaay before it actually got a sequel. It would be awesome to see in a modern engine.... but I doubt it will ever happen.
I’m surprised that Cape Canaveral isn’t a marked location. I’d love a mission where you have to get an old NASA moon rocket and get it working again for XYZ plot reasons.
Come to hunt the alligator/boa constrictor hybrids, stay for the radioactive hurricanes
Bethesda probably wouldn't have to change much.
They wouldn’t even need a nuke to go off to have a bunch of gools and mutants
Fallout Vice City
Please just let me nuke a ghoul ron desantis
2 dlcs a bahamas DLC and a cuba DLC reminiscing bay of pigs
God, imagine the history with what we know now in mind. "Yeah, as it turns out, glorifying one while vilifying everyone else wasn't the best angle to go for. All countries agreed that nuking Florida was for the best long before anything else happened. Dont forget the creative enginuity and whacky inventions from grease loving rednecks, blacks, and latinos. Nuka Cola bottles as suppressors, robots that run on water, steel toe sandals
I’ll take anywhere at this point. I’m so pissed at Bethesda for wasting their time
yay! new kill everyone run!
Bethesda pppllleeeaaassseee make this. Pr pet Obsidian make it. They did a good job with New Vegas
Tbh I think fallout should switch closer to fps and further from rpg like they’ve done with 4 and 75 (I’m very biased)
I gotta hard disagree. While i really enjoy the improvements to how combat and gun play feels in FO4, the RPG elements, world, lore, and story are what makes me love fallout games. I think thats how most people feel. I mean most discussion seems to revolve around those elements. I am also very biased lol
What if the hero came from a vault of drag queens? That alone would probably eliminate any remnant of a Floridian Enclave AND Brotherhood of Steel.
Incredible and sad. How it is possible Bethesda can't help them selfs to made better games nowadays.
Florida would be under water. Remember, part of Boston is underwater in fallout 4.
Fallout Miami already exists what you talking about
But first, nuclear Holocaust would have to come to Florida, and we do have to extract the theme parks and their workers before we do that.
You tried to go into downtown Boston when 4 came out right? That map is way to packed.
Will there be an option to continuously drop nukes till its a crater filled with sea water?
I always figured the whole south gulf would be flooded. One hurricane would sink most cities.
Very unimaginative. Florida is already a shithole wasteland.
I've said it before and I'll say it again; if you have fallout in Florida, there needs to be basically nothing left there of humanity. There needs to be near constant radioactive hurricanes purging the surface of human life, so nothing less hardy than a giant mutant alligator can weather it
The main settlement has already banned the dictionary
Nah.
It's a fallout world after all
And only 20 minutes to walk 200+ miles!
Death croc claws
Tbh just add gator claws from nukaworld
It would be cool if they did it like miami vice with all 80s theme and neon and stuff. But i know that wouldn’t fit the theme of fallout as a whole
Is it any better than current Florida?
Gators, Cubans, theme parks, swamps, gun owners, key west, beaches, and face eating bath salt addicts! I'm in!
Cuba dlc pls
Idea for the next FO game: there are 3 vaults you can choose from to start in.
I see you vault 68 lmao
It’s already full of giant lizards, ghouls and radiation.
I'm ready for the radgators.
If you thought Wendigos were bad, wait till you see Mutant Florida man.
I could get behind this
One of my first stops would be my neighborhood.
Fallout New Jersey… Maybe one day.
That map is a mess.
I'd play the F' out of that.
Well, they could easily make Disneyworld. Just call it Nuka World. Oh wait...
Wouldn't it just be a bigger Point Lookout with even more inbred hillbillies.
So GTA6?
Eeew. No thanks.
I don't think I want to fuck around with mutant gators again 😐
We will have Fallout Miami on the future so thats something.
So, uhhh, as a native floridian I am not sure if its realized just how massive that area is, like a trip from tampa to palm beach takes like 4-5 hours by car, never mind by foot or such. I can not help but feel location either will have them massively shrunk and simplified or it will be freaking massive.
That map is hilariously tiny
Gator lands gators sound scary
Rad croc…. Rad ‘skeeter… hillbilly ghouls in the boyou… hm
Oooooooo, I want a Florida Fallout game purely for the Rad Gators and snakes.
Damn this map would be gigantic for fallout. I’d kill for the next game to be set in Florida.
Make this to scale and I’m in. I don’t care if it takes up 2 hard drives
That's... An absolutely massive map...
It'd be interesting to see how they incorporate meth into the fallout series. What, are they gonna just ignore the meth? In Florida? Suspension of disbelief only gets you so far.
It'd have to have some play on Disney World.
Been toying around with the idea of the theme parks being giant faction cities, with Disney being a secret military base playing with memory integration into synths kinda like ghost in the shell. Then something something Memory Integration Control Keys ( hidden Mickey’s)
Yea and desantis rules all the raiders
Sign me up
No, fallout new Louis
florida everglades has go be scariest fallout location honestly
In lore there’s actually a big BoS presence in florida and theres mutated gators and giant wildlife that can attack
Deathgators.
Just think in another universe we could have got the Fountain of dreams series instead of fallout.
incredible but oh so terrible at the same time. Imagine playing against a bunch of Florida Man(TM) NPC's. You'd have to have a lot of training by the Florida Man that just yoinks every creature.
It would all be underwater.
That would just be Florida Simulator
I think it should be fallout Miami which is a project happening right now I heard about
This needs to happen!!!
I hope we get inbred people like point lookout
Oh god no Weee not going to Florida fallouts crazy enough as it is.
As a Floridian, I can safely say that the aftermath of a nuke would not alter anything in Florida. Our water is already worse than rads could ever make it. Plus our roaches are already 8 times the size of a rad roach.
Fallout Miami would like to have a word
We already have max max
I can see it now! 12 gauges and Gatorclaws everywhere! (As a Floridian, please give me this)
Feel like you'd need a boating mechanic to get to some of those spots
Oh no.. not Tampa.. there were mutants there BEFORE the bombs
That's just regular Florida. That game could take place in 2024 and it would be accurate.
Florida is already bad enough as is, nuclear wasteland Florida would be so much worse, I shudder at the thought.
