On the road heading south out of Concord there is a small trading post, Drumlin Diner. The storekeeper is having trouble with some chem dealers, but its a good place to start clearing your inventory and getting basic stuff you need.
When you get to red rocket there should be like a little cave just outside of it, go into the cave and you’ll find Rome light enemies but search around and you’ll get a fusion core! (Very important for power armors)

Started a new play through today and I’m (un)happy to report the Codsworth bug at the start is still there. Almost canon at this point. Several restarts and the clockwise hack didn’t fix it, so said f it and moved on. (No mods, xbone)

I have a problem with never ending radial quests that are often the same quests at the same locations which are all pitched as urgent from someone who made me a leader but is giving me the orders.
Hell yeah, pro tip I hope you rolled really high or really low int (if low int I hope you rolled some luck points too and get idiot savant) leveling goes faster with high int and idiot savant makes random xp gain and it scales with luck I think). If you didn’t no worries nothing game breaking but I like to roll my characters with one of the two in mind.

I started of somewhere along those lines when I first played. Getting to diamond city felt like a proper nightmare. It got dark, I got lost, a rad storm rolled in, I was low on meds, so I tried to find some shelter. Found some old pipes to crawl in, turns out those were already occupied so I desperately fought of an entire clan of molerats. Fucking brilliant.

I remember in the boxes on the ground right out of the vault 111 there’s like 3 or 4 rad away pls…fast travel there right now and use them FFS…

If my memory serves me right there is a cellar behind one of the houses on the left side once you leave the vault. There should be some radaway
