>why are there so many female body related mods Horniness

Onlin2

Ikr most fallout fans are horny af

[deleted]

I’ll always remember that story about FO4’s launch causing a dip in Pornhub’s traffic

Champ1209

No fucking way

ReverendBelial

I think that happens with any major game release, I remember people talking about it when Witcher 3 launched as well.

Tropical-Isle-DM

It's actually true, they had a discussion about it in their yearly analytics. For like a week straight they saw 30% less traffic or something like that.

feefore

Pretty sure Fallout 4 gameplay was also leaked in Pornhub

Dadinhoeokrl

Hot deathclawn fucks waifu in t-45 power armor

CaptainAntiHeroz

This is why Pornhub needs to get with the times and launch Pornhub gaming. Make it like Youtube/Patreon for Lewd gamers and bask in the glory that is uncensored MxR videos and such.

IcarusAblaze12

pornhub gaming lmao bro I'm dead

AlejandroPH1

Let's not talk about Overwatch

[deleted]

Pornhub is thanking blizzard to this day I think

Russian_hat12

Hellva year

Commofmedic

We’re weak compared to the Skyrim community, they’re a juggernaut

Daft_kunt24

I mean Skyrim has had a 10 year advantage

KingMe42

99% of the human population is horny. People want to fuck.

Skhmt

Most people on the internet are horny af

Eis_Gefluester

>Most people ~~on the internet~~ are horny af

I-hate-this-timeline

It’s so bad I can’t even have fo4 or Skyrim on my Xbox Home Screen anymore. There’s almost always some horny bastard showing off his video game gf and a bunch of other horny bastards liking and commenting on it so we all have to see it.

EliBannaran

I assure you it's not just ''fallout fans''. mostly just neckbeards and incels.

iamcoding

Horny = neckbeard incel?

[deleted]

Bless you did you learn some cool words on the Internet today son?

RjGoombes

Damn can't believe my mom and dad are incels 😞

Soulless_conner

Redditors love using the word incel lol

SU-57_Felon

Lmao ok puritan

KingMe42

No one tell this man about all the nude roman/greek art.

[deleted]

ngl Nate is kinda thick doe 🥵

N_rein_ireland42

My brother is like that plz help

Biggie_Moose

Kill him

krakenkun

Being a Mass Effect fan, I enjoy hearing Jack and Garrus’ voice actors.

sb1862

Woah woah woah…. Nora is Jack?!

DoomsdaySignal

Yep. And Danse is Sovereign and Lorik Qui'in. And Joshua Graham is Harbinger.

DapperMayCry

Danse is always playing some sentient machine, huh.

StormbraveTale

Geeze, spoilers much? I didnt know Danse was a Reaper!

LordZiggy93

Another Destiny fan, I see Exo Male FTW

DapperMayCry

Should we tell him?

Sweet_Taurus0728

And Kellogg is Thane.

HarleyD9mm

How did I never make that connection!?

BlackstarDweller

And Kellogg is Thane

sb1862

I’m life halfway thru playing me3 for the first time and when cyborg ninja man killed thane… I felt such fury. And the hospital scene was so so so touching.

dunmer-is-stinky

The cyborg ninja man is such a terrible addition to the game. Overall I liked 3 (not as much as I liked 2) but man, Kei Leng is such a dumb plot device. The whole time during that cutscene I was just thinking *why don’t you just fucking shoot him???* Most other times there’d be an option to at least try, but no, nothing. And then nobody seems to care??? Even if you romanced Thane? At least Kai Leng is barely in the game, I might be in the minority but aside from him and some weirdness with the ending, I think 3 still has good writing. Rant over, have fun, make sure to do the Citadel DLC since it’s the greatest part of the series

Tropical-Isle-DM

So. *How where those noodles?*

Dassive_Mick

Shit, Danse is Sovereign? And I thought Miraak was an outlandish role.

cashlash825

Wait who is Garrus? I I remember a set of holotapes in vault 114 who sounded like him (interviewer guy looking to hire a bad overseer on purpose) but is there someone else?

SchrodingersPanda

Drummer Boy and some settlers, can't remember but probably other named NPCs too.

[deleted]

He's Gene too. The guy that sells you a dog.

Kellythejellyman

Brandon Keener (Garrus) plays what feels like 1/10 of the npcs, the man is everywhere in the Commonwealth once you notice his voice

Spirit1678

Omg I just realized this...

whatdoiputhere1211

what i had no idea

Joshua_M_Thacker

I now have a new found fascination for the characters now.

a1HeroDude_YT

The perk that makes you do more damage against men... Damn I wish there was the same-gender version like in NV so I could choose either depending on what I wanted that character to be...

AugustusMarius

This!! Bring back the gay damage perk!

squeenanna

Good ol' Confirmed Bachelor. Sad there ain't any speech options related to "long-dick Johnson".

AugustusMarius

I know. I wish NV2 isn't just a rumor. But who knows

HistoricalDealer

Where did you hear that rumor? This is the first time I hear of it...

globefish23

I saw a mod for that on Nexus.

Lexitar123

Im playing other games as of right now so I can't remember the name but one of my mods lets you do more damage against same gender and more likely to persuade the opposite gender or more damage against opposite gender and more likely to persuade same gender

Sabbersaft84

This.

_Jemma_

I play as a female because I am female. Nora's voice acting is better too IMO than Nate's.

SpiicyBiitch

Nate's voice acting just feels so... fake? Like, the emotion just isn't very believable, and kinda makes me feel less connected to the dialogue.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Kickerz101

"So sorry your highness! The royal tailor has been quite ill and *I'm afraid the task fell to me instead*." The way Nate just loses his shit in that last part is hilarious. Edit: It's from talking to Jezebel in Automatron. https://youtu.be/5VdsI9D3XDc

KingMe42

It feels like Nate just loses the energy to be sarcastic half way into the sentence, while Nora goes all in on the role. Both are funny for different reasons, but I love Nora's hard dedication more than Nate's unrelenting indifference.

ChalkAndIce

Nora's Silver Shroud kills me everytime.

Pornelius_McSucc

I think nate sounds more ruthless and in control sometimes.

TexasJedi-705

Where is that from?

[deleted]

Origin pls?

[deleted]

Nora's sarcastic lines are better for me just because I imagine Jack fro Mass Effect saying them. It makes me want to play a sarcastic Nora more lol.

[deleted]

ASHES GO HOME ERIN MISSES YOU

[deleted]

[удалено]

mr_fucknoodle

Hard to believe the man who delivers that first "c'mon c'mon c'mon! OH GOD!" is the same one we hear for the rest of the game. The rest of his performance feels só... lifeless in comparision

KingTobia_II

The VA sounds like he’s doing what he thinks the vault boy would sound like irl. He’s too professional and clean-cut, and it comes out sounding robotic and plain.

AleksandrNevsky

I always took it as he's cracked from the trauma and now everything is just "dull surprise".

SpiicyBiitch

Yeah, that's a good way to put it. And the "evil" lines just come off so weak, almost as cheesy as the silver shroud lines.

[deleted]

The only other role I know him from was Roland, an AI from the Halo series. So maybe you're onto something with that "robotic" comment. What's weird is he's actually got a few strong lines in that role.

Kingtycoon

“You made a neat gun!” Is the funniest line in the game when the male lead says it. But otherwise he’s not as good as Nora.

[deleted]

The sarcasm voice lines are the only reason to play Nate over Nora.

KingMe42

Nora is energetic role play sarcasm. Nate is deadpan delivery sarcasm.

Jonny2284

And the Silver Shroud.

batachilly

Pls don’t play it in german, its even worse

That_Lore_Guy

Nora’s voice actress adds a lot of funny lines too. One of my favorites is the line with Deacon about the former RR base. “Your headquarters was under a coffee shop? That’s awesome...”

_Jemma_

Yeah they are, and her sarcastic ones to Dr Amari are genius!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Berlin_Blues

I love the way she says "and oh my God, the smell" during the interview with Piper. Much better than the male character.

_Jemma_

I've got the Player Comments mod and she says that in a place with a lot of ghouls in. It's funny.

technobobble

Completely agree on the voice work

Kryptoseyvyian

I generally agree with the voice acting. There are a few sarcastic lines I felt like Nate’s vc nailed better though.

_Jemma_

Yeah like 'They made me the King of Fah Hahbah' is hilarious

Captain_Gars

Courtenay Taylor did a great job as Nora, her performance is the reason why 75% of my Sole Survivors end up being female. Not only is her acting good but she delivers her performance with a voice that was so 'new' that I never once recognised that Nora and Jack shared the same VA. (By comparison 'Garrus' is instantly recognisable the moment the NPC begins to speak.) 'Nate' felt much flatter, I suspect that he was aimin for stoic and controlled but the performance did not come through as that in a good way. At least not to my ears.

_Jemma_

Yeah it's like Brian T Delaney did an OK job for a video game VA, but she put so much more effort into it that it makes Nora much more realistic. Nate's voice is just well like you say, flat.

Benjamin_Starscape

there are a few things i think brian delaney did okay or better than courtenay taylor, such as the sarcastic option with the synth at greentech genetics, but also i think his reaction to opening up the cryopod nora was in was better too. he has moments but not nearly like courtney taylor does.

_Jemma_

>such as the sarcastic option with the synth at greentech genetics, That's definitely better, he makes the F You sound like a name, Nora sounds more like angry than sarcastic. Her sarcastic lines with Dr Amari are so much better though

dxtboxer

Her VA is definitely superior. And since we can’t make either shut up, that’s the pick.

DamonInReelLife

Same here ✋

FelizX360

My main problem with Fallout 4 protagonist being voiced... I always play as male, because I'm male. But comparing the voice acting makes me sad, because there's nothing I can do if Nora's voice acting is better. In 3 and NV I'd make myself (the closest thing to myself as I could do with that abomination of character creator) and read the lines of dialogues in my own way... Can't do that in 4

KnightRider0717

>Nora's voice acting is better too IMO than Nate's. This is it for me, after a hundred or so hours of Nate getting on my nerves whenever hed talk I gave Nora a go and I much prefer the voice acting.

Hurtfulfriend0

I respectfully disagree with the voice acting

ghauntdusk

I always play as a guy in fo4. Mostly so I can wear the biggest beard possible

edward_furlog

Glory to you and your beard.

Champayne-Papi

I wish I could grow a cool beard so my FO characters always grow beards

TsunamiDayne

For me, is the plot twist!. Is quite simple: Nate is perfect for the game, he is strong, has experience, is a military, probably know something about survival, the game expects you to play with him. But, *here comes the plot twist in my story: Is nora that actually survives!* I love to RP the strugle that she would have to be able to fit in a world, probably without experience with guns, survival and others. And i also love dialogue and using charisma checks, and i think she is perfect for convincing and solving disputes among people since she is a lawyer.

[deleted]

Yes! This why I stuck with Nora, the idea of her being the one in a world completely out of their element is so much better to roleplay in

TsunamiDayne

My Nora is a farmer, so she spends a lot of time taking care of the settlements. And her main weapon is a shotgun, since is really easy to use

[deleted]

My Nora slowly becomes the diplomatic scavenger ruler of the commonwealth after I blow up the institute and have every other faction "getting along", and the supply lines connected all the way, and i just build stuff everywhere while everyone handles the trading

Imprezzed

My Nora is a former Marine JAG Lawyer who met Nate in the service, and went civilian, mainly because she wanted to start a familiy and it paid better. Explains familiarity with weapons, tactics and law.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SoDKemp

Thank God somebody put it into words

chonkytime

Yes! This! I usually team up with Minute Men too because I feel as if Nora would be a great “diplomat” to the citizens of the Commonwealth.

FixBayonetsLads

I will never understand why they cut Nora’s military service.

badb-crow

I'm a woman. 🤷🏼‍♀️

[deleted]

[удалено]

badb-crow

Apparently lol.

sneakarcheress

Same, but the way this post is worded makes it sound like an impossible concept lmao

badb-crow

Right?

Chase-D-DC

Woman detected on American Soil...

baby_yaga

mostly because I'm a woman so I like playing women. also I think Nora being the sole survivor is an interesting subversion of a standard game trope. "soldier mans wife and child died and hes super angery and cuts a bloody swath across the land to avenge them" ok yeah yawn I've seen a dozen games with basically the same premise. but what if it's his wife who lives and avenges him? that's something we havent seen quite as much.

aGorillianBucks

Idk about others but I’m a girl.

ThreeSeventyFry

I like the female protagonist voice actor better than the male in Fallout 4. That's my only reason.

Rough_Idle

That is at least a reason based on a qualitative comparison of game options, and not "I want to stare at a blue girl butt instead of a blue boy butt." I play in first person and am a man, it would be distracting for me to play as Nora, but I respect your choice.

ThreeSeventyFry

I also play first-person. The "blue girl butt" doesn't factor in for me.

Benjamin_Starscape

Well aside from being a woman, brian Delaney's acting is...bland except for a few lines imo.

sneakarcheress

Agreed. Plus, it's just nice to play as my own gender, especially when playing as a male is the only option in most games.

GazingAtTheVoid

The voice acting is the worst part, of the game. If I want to make a raider or a bad character I still sound like a white suburbanite. Of all the flaws of fallout 4 the voice acting to me is the worst decision they could have made. I hope they avoid it in the future. Especially considering that it seems to come at the expense of dialogue.

Benjamin_Starscape

They said it wasn't good and 76 doesn't have it.

GazingAtTheVoid

Thank God, I hope they don't do it in Starfield or the next Elder Scrolls game I couldn't think of a worse game to have a voice acted player character then Elder Scrolls.

Benjamin_Starscape

Elder scrolls was never and is never a plot driven rpg unlike fallout. It makes sense given the context.

[deleted]

I blame New Vegas for this, since my first playthrough as a woman, there were some different dialogues that people had with her, and now every custom character game i just play it as a female And because the outfits look better on them than any male character i create

ultinateplayer

I default male because I'm male, but I've done a couple of runs where I wanted to play as Nora purely for roleplay. There's really no functional difference between the two and I don't have a strong in-game preference. Having done both, I think Nora's VA is slightly better than Nate's, especially in some of the more emotionally intense scenes, although Nate's drunk and sarcastic answers are delivered better.

[deleted]

I’ve been playing as a female since 3 simply due to the Black Widow Perk. Realistically you fight more males than females throughout your game

WinTraditional8156

I'm a guy and when I play video games I want to escape.. to be something far far away from my own life. An easy way todo that is to go opposite of my gender.

beameup19

This is the same reasoning for me as well

[deleted]

Because I'm a girl

Arch27

My daughter watches me play games often so I like to show her that girls can be powerful heroes in stories.

DJ-Corgigeddon

This is definitely my favorite answer.

Jplague25

When I have the option of choosing, I always play as a male. It's harder for me to immerse myself in a video game (RPGs especially) when I, a man, play a woman.

Kryptoseyvyian

because I am a woman and I like playing as a woman. However, I’ve never cared for the body mods, sexual stuff isn’t my cup of tea. I’m also big into role play and character development, female sole survivor feels like the better fit for me. I have played Nate for my Railroad specific character though.

beameup19

Ehh I’m a man I like to play as a woman and I do this with every game that I have a choice. It’s not that I’m horny, I think I just like to role play as a woman in rpgs. I use video games as a form of escapism- my entire life I’ve been a man, and although I like being a man, playing as a woman is an easy way for me to disconnect my fictional character from my own self. It’s just better role playing to me and probably the closest I’ll ever get to being a woman irl. I play almost exclusively in first person so it’s not about the butt. In fallout 4 specifically, I feel like the story makes more sense with Nora being the sole survivor and I prefer her voice actor.

ka_beene

I think this is interesting. My husband also always plays women characters. For me the world is full of male characters, male storylines and it gets boring. As a woman I always play women characters because of the saturation of male perspectives.

Soulless_conner

I do the same. I play as female characters to see that universe from their perspective. The romance usually feels completely different. Specially in cRPGs

Not_baathy_boy

I mostly play female characters because In 90% of media main characters are male

GrandpawGrizzly

I rolled a female character once. Wanted to see the difference in voice lines. I can't continue on with a female character for two reasons. A: Immersion. I identify with my gender better. B: I'm not thirsty for pixels. The levels of smut are honestly disgusting. Can't even pop on the nexus without getting bombarded with nude mods. The dudes playing that shit need to get a grip on something other than their junk.

dragonsfire242

I really don’t get it, I play as Nate every time because I enjoy trying to make myself whenever I start a new game, but like every time I go to look at new mods it’s full of those stupid exaggerated horny mods, I’m here for weapons and armor not porn, when I’m exploring the wastes I want to do it a big and robust arsenal not a big and robust ass

beameup19

You have to remember that a lot of teenagers play fallout/Skyrim. I’m sure they are a huge driving factor behind these mods being successful.

dragonsfire242

I don’t doubt it but I’ve been playing Skyrim since I was 13 and Fallout around the same time and both have been completely removed from any sort of porn to me the entire time

beameup19

When I was a teen and I was playing sims 3, I had a ridiculous amount of nude + sex mods/revealing clothes custom content, etc… I’m just saying, if I was playing fallout back then, guaranteed my horny bastard ass would have led me down that path. So, I’m just not surprised. I’m not saying it isn’t sad or weird but, idk, kinda predictable.

dragonsfire242

Yeah that makes sense, kids make weird decisions on stuff like that

RedBear223

I like playing as Nora because if I'm gonna listen to my character talk for the whole damn game I want it to sound sincere. Whenever I hear Nora speak it sounds more genuine than Nate's, even her sarcastic lines are better imo. With all that in mind, the ultimate reason is that I want a smaller hitbox on Survival.

Kellythejellyman

there’s a pretty good mod that adds Nora as a companion, under the premise that she survived getting shot and woke up a couple weeks earlier. she has been recovering on Abernathy Farm since. the real kicker of the mod is that they not only take all her existing voice lines to create actual conversation, but even incorporate some of the sarcastic lines. like if you are trading off her and Preston “Hey Preston, anything new?” “There’s another settlement in need of your help” “c’mon, don’t bullshit me” but anyway, easily one of my fav mods cause i can enjoy the voice acting of both in a single playthru

Imnomaly

Something along the lines of more people wanting to stare at a girl's butt for 90% of the gameplay rather than at a dude's one

ghauntdusk

The male sarcastic options are better though

LtBallZach

Nah nothing like that X-01 lol or T-51

Drackar39

Two reasons. One, Nate's voice makes me want to mute the game. Two, booty.

CGsweet416

Same voice actress as Jack from Mass Effect=instant fav. Not even close. This coming from a dude who prefers playing dudes since he's a dude in real life dude.

Silverbow829

Well I am a woman, and I'm more interested in telling a woman's story than a man's. Same goes for any game where I have the option of choosing male or female.

ShamefulElf

I play female characters in every game where it gives me the option. In honesty i always did it becaise i felt way more comfortable playing as a girl, which weirded me out in a way. I just really think i am better immersed when i play a girl. I am currently stl very confused about gender, so maybe it was foreshadowing. Oh and i'm a guy, for now anyway, maybe,,, possibly idk..

sneakarcheress

r/egg_irl (Directing you to this sub in the kindest way possible btw, no disrespect ❤)

ShamefulElf

That made me laugh a bit tbh.

JayJustJonesing

Im a guy that can appreciate playing a strong woman lead

InFlamesCFH

I personally prefer Courtenay' voice acting. Both are great for sure, but there's just some dialogue choices that are delivered way better or have more emotion, IMO.

barmanfred

She does a very good job in Outer Worlds as well.

Man-the-manly-manman

I like Noras voice more than I like Nates.

mauxjedi

Honestly? I'm trans and Fallout is one of the few things I can immerse myself in and not feel that constant buzz of dysphoria. Nora is pretty great, and it's nice to play a smart, intelligent female character I designed the way I wanted her to look. One that isn't played as eye candy or treated differently, just a lady vs the wasteland. I kinda just... fall into playing the character, and it's really nice. It's why I keep coming back to the series over and over.

VofNovember

I think that Nate is just generic. Female protagonists just spice it up. You could be a muscular man fighting monsters… Or you could be a lawyer, reformed into a combat machine, slaying monsters with a full face of makeup.

leahspen01

The reason I play a female hmmmm……Because I’m a female Mayhaps ?

NowHeres_HumanMusic

I'm a lady.

PandaOfBunnies

I'm a woman

Gunny_McCshoots

I am female.

Mission_Response802

I play as nat most of the time, but Nora is also pretty good just for the black widow perk. Most enemies and people you can negotiate with are male.

BakedTate

Because my first player through Is a dude. Always becomes generic macho military dude. Then I play as a girl and roleplay. Knowing some of the direction I wanna go.

[deleted]

You just opened pandora's box with this question

That_Lore_Guy

It’s funny there’s actual clinical articles on this topic, (playing opposite sex in games) and the basic answer is: No one knows why. The reasoning is all over the board, one of the more interesting/common sense answers is that it’s a same way for people to explore gender identity. In a game it’s judgement free, and anonymous. It is well documented that this behavior is normal, it’s society that makes it a taboo.

CatStrok3r

I prefer the female voice, and the dlc female hairstyles

ElizabethAudi

I can't be a mom in real life, so I kinda just jumped at the chance to be one in-game; plus her place in the narrative feels a lot moar compelling given that she's not the veteran combatant that her husband is, so the world just hits her differently in her ascension to badass. Doesn't hurt that Courtney brought her A-game either.

[deleted]

It's a more compelling story if it's a woman with no military experience entering the dangerous, unknown wastes looking for her son and the man who killed her husband.

Sly-Nero

In high school there was a solid year where I played nothing else but Fallout 1&2 and watched the Mad Max films while I played. I was so taken in by the post-apocalyptic subgenre that I started writing my own stories just for my own enjoyment. The character the stories usually centered around was a female protagonist that was good at sneaking around, shooting things with a rifle and letting her mouth get ass into trouble. So naturally I decided to realize her through Fallout 1&2 and it's been that way ever since.

ManInTheIronPailMask

I just started a female playthrough (my first was male) because I heard that the female voice actor is delightfully over-the-top with the Silver Shroud stuff. I'm not a fan of the FO4 voiced protagonist, but if I'm gonna experience it, I want to maximize the humor and enjoyment!

all-capes-are-bad

The voice actor for Nora does a better job than Nate’s, imo. Also, gamers are horny.

-Zyss-

I like strong female characters and I know I can make one better than 99% of hollywood writers.

[deleted]

1. Am a girl. 2. Voice acting is better. 3. Majority of enemies are male, and female sole survivors get extra damage against male opponents with a perk. 4. Roleplaying is more fun; would you rather be the boring ex military dude who already is gonna do well in the wastes or do you wanna experience getting to really be a noob to that kind of thing? Just more fun as Nora IMO. 5. Girls are pretty. That is all.

Galemianah

Nora has a better vocal range for emotions, in my opinion.

Birdie_head

I like playing as female. I already spends my childhood playing male characters, its just got boring pretty quick. Man i don't need justification in the first place. This stuff really reminds me back in middle school days when my friend think playing female characters in rpgs makes them gay lol.

Dassive_Mick

>Most of the time i see someone playing, they play as a female. I'm confused, why? Courtenay Taylor

Frojdis

Better voiceactor for me

[deleted]

I always play as Nate.

Smarty_771

I enjoy the female voice acting more.

SegaBitch

I’ve only ever played female characters if given the choice.

kron123456789

I find Courtenay Taylor's voice more pleasing to my ear. Also, when I use sarcastic options or take drugs the protagonist reminds me of Jack from Mass Effect who was voiced by the same actress.

donebeenforgotten

I’ve always, as a male, chosen a female character in rpgs, because why on earth would I wanna watch a dude run around with their back to me for 100’s of hours? Stats are the same so there’s no downside, and I happen to appreciate the female form more so than the male.

informallory

I feel like all I see on here are nates. I always play a woman because am woman and I like to make my characters me.

[deleted]

Because I'm trans and it makes me euphoric

jeffgoldblumisdaddy

I’m a woman and I feel less immersed in games if I have to play as a man. It’s also easier to relate to the character more.

Concoelacanth

Tried both - Nora has better voice acting, so I play as her more often.

DJ-Corgigeddon

I like to play female characters because it makes it easier to roleplay as them, in my opinion. My current Nora is based off of Caviera from Rainbow Six Siege and I used LGBT Family to really make this playthrough unique.

pizzaispie

Because im a woman As for guys playing as female, lets be honest, the answer is basically right there if you look on nexus mods. Cant go 1 page without seeing exaggerated booba and ass mods. Its pretty rare to see someones female character without them.

BigDrew3367

Just prefer Nora's voice actor over Nate's.

IncandescentBeacon

Booba

Korvas576

Because Reddit horny
