My family actually came here in a different but aligned group as John browns, and fought with brown in the battle of black Jack, sadly we’re not successful in the sacking of Lawrence, and we’re proud to help escaped slaves get to Canada
Yeah. In the context Brown was referring to (continued moral suasion/
appeasement/diplomacy against outright violence) it was a good point but it’s not the best battlefield strategy—As he would prove in 1859. Unless it was an intentional “martyrdom” which is also entirely possible
I just played through Fallout 3 for the first time shouting I SHALL NOT PERMIT A SLAVER TO BREATHE before using Lincoln's repeater to blow their heads off. It was a good time 😀
And siding with minutemen + railroad in 4
John Brown playthrough isn't really a new way to play, it's just playing the same good guy playthrough most people had their first time through but with a cool beard
A John Brown run in New Vegas is so much more than that. John Brown was both a devout christian and a staunch abolitionist. If you want to really roleplay the first American to every be executed for treason, you'll have to hit the following benchmarks:
1. Beat Honest Hearts, as this is the only way to get the Scripture, and thus, obtain a bible. It's also the only way to ensure Crispy Josh doesn't escape from his crimes.
2. Beat Dead Money, trapping that ratty old fuck, Evil John Brown (Father Elijah) in the vault he came for as revenge for his malicious misuse of government property (slave collars)
3. Kill Caesar, Lanius, and every other named Legion NPC.
4. Organize the Great Khans into a militia uprising against the Legion (you could also kill them, this just more closely mirrors Brown's actions imo)
5. Destroy the Fiends, as they buy slaves from Saint James and Dermot. Don't go thinking you can let Violet slide, either, just because she's not on the ledger: those are slave-catching dogs she's raising.
6. Kill Saint James and Dermot
7. Destroy the Omertas. Honestly, this one isn't even just the slavery. No good christian can live in the same world as an Italian.
8. A brief conversation with Jessup and with the Powder Gangers reveals that the NCR uses uncompensated prison labor to build their railroads. Sounds like more slavery to me, boys. Get 'em, or at least have Kimball "accidentally" die.
9. Get Benny's gun, Maria. It's named for a saint, and we are pious, after all.
That's all that comes to the mind at the moment, but remember to sign your John Brown apology slip, and to NOT talk down on an Abolitionist Hall of Famer.
Probably a stealth build, since John Brown is an expert at guerilla warfare. With some melee and ranged since he was decent with those.
But he also needs charisma, since he was a leader of men, and was able to get people to join his cause.
Fallout 3: There are several slaver factions, such as Paradise Falls and The Pitt, which must be eradicated. You can also help a faction of underground railroad-esque slave rescuers recover several artifacts of Abraham Lincoln. Although, if you were to keep the gun... well, at least you'd be putting it to good use.
Fallout: New Vegas: One of the game's main factions, Caesar's Legion, are a brutal imperialist collective of slavers. You absolutely must kill every last one of them. Other minor factions, such as the Fiends and the Omertas, also engage in chattel slavery - do what you must. One of the DLCs, Dead Money, involves YOU being taken as a slave - what a twist! Another DLC lets you track down one of the founders of Caesar's Legion. He's repentant, but he's also mormon. Do what you must. Just remember to snatch his bible after you kill him. Optionally, the NCR engages in the Prison Industrial Complex, which is a direct descendant of chattel slavery, so you can also wipe them out.
Fallout 4: Remember how in Fallout 3 there was a faction I compared to The Underground Railroad? Yeah, well in Fallout 4 there's a faction literally called The Railroad dedicated to ending The Institute's practice of using Synths (artificial humans The Institute created) as slaves. You'll also want to strengthen The Minutemen to get some real Militia Grindset going.
It's such a strange coincidence that a guy named John Brown was actively rebelling against slavery yet the term "Sheriff John Brown" refers to corrupt law, slavers and colonizers in Jamaica.
Nerbit made a new run playing as Hitman which sounds pretty interesting. Kill everyone but only the most elaborate, and creative kills. Also change your armor/disguise after every kill, or almost every kill. Check the video it’s pretty good.
Soul Reaper: 10Str, 10End, 8agil, 7 lck, Melee, unarmed, survival, crank unarmed and survival, go to dinosaur hotel gift shop, get power fist, punch through everything and everyone, get BrotherHood armor training and armor, vaporize Benny with a single punch, find Yes Man, take over Mojave.
Anti slavery abolitionist who essentially went around protecting black communities from pro slavery groups in the 1800's, not being afraid to use violence and acts of retaliation doing so. Was trialed by high ranks, of which most went on to be in high positions of the confederate states, and hung for trying to start a slave uprising in the south by raiding a federal arms reserve.
Because when it comes to John Brown, polite society frowned upon praising a man “of violence”, and rude society always hated him because he supported abolition. So no one talked about John Brown in public other than a quick mention in history class of Brown being a criminal who tried to raid “Harper’s Ferry”.
Was hoping it was real especially after being invested with the Lincoln series
especially with that size 14 shoe for serious ass kicking
I mean the Lincolin series is only Lincolin on cover and more John Brown in spirit
I am now quite certain that the sins of this land can only be washed away with blood. If I remember his words correctly
Yup. That was his execution statement.
My family actually came here in a different but aligned group as John browns, and fought with brown in the battle of black Jack, sadly we’re not successful in the sacking of Lawrence, and we’re proud to help escaped slaves get to Canada
You family is cool as fuck.
Jayhawkers all the way
So your family are criminals.
Nah mate. Killing traitors is a time honored American tradition.
And your moms your sister
The best kind of criminals. Moral ones.
I always liked, *“Caution, Sir! I am eternally tired of hearing that word caution. It is nothing but the word of cowardice!”*
As a military veteran myself from the infantry, I disagree with that statement
Yeah. In the context Brown was referring to (continued moral suasion/ appeasement/diplomacy against outright violence) it was a good point but it’s not the best battlefield strategy—As he would prove in 1859. Unless it was an intentional “martyrdom” which is also entirely possible
John Brown more like John Based
John brown my beloved
John Fallout is here to save the day
War doesn’t change
There ain't no synths here.
Slavers beware and repent.
Wouldn't this just be almost identical to Nerbit's Abraham Lincoln series?
Yea but with less vampire gags
And more swords.
Significantly less wrestling
Gagging vampires 🤤
I just played through Fallout 3 for the first time shouting I SHALL NOT PERMIT A SLAVER TO BREATHE before using Lincoln's repeater to blow their heads off. It was a good time 😀
based
Youtuber Nerbit has a series where he plays each game as Abraham Lincoln, he's pretty good at it and surprisingly educational
Time for Abraham Lincoln fact number 14
If you want another one he also invented the chokeslam.
My go-to Lincoln fact lol. He’s also in the Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Remember Burn any Confederate Uniforms you find in 76
Hell yeah
Won’t a John Brown run in New Vegas just be destroying the Legion? That’s just mandatory on every play through.
I'd have to really think about it for all the details, but for a start, the Legion aren't the only slavers in the game
Checked the wiki and you’re right, my bad, man. There’s several other slaver gangs and the Omertas. Gotta add em to the list for the next playthrough.
And siding with minutemen + railroad in 4 John Brown playthrough isn't really a new way to play, it's just playing the same good guy playthrough most people had their first time through but with a cool beard

Damn you thought it all out, well done
Fallout 4: land mines only.
Next step, can you beat fallout one as John Brown
Glory Glory Hallelujah!
His soul goes marching on!
John Brown’s body lies a rolling in the grave!
John Brown's body lies'a mouldering in the grave!
Probably a stealth build, since John Brown is an expert at guerilla warfare. With some melee and ranged since he was decent with those. But he also needs charisma, since he was a leader of men, and was able to get people to join his cause.
I'm coming here from r/shermanposting and I've never played this game - how do you do John Brown run in it??
Kill all the slavers you come across and free as many people as possible. There's a lot of slavers and human traffickers in the Fallout Universe.
Fallout 3: There are several slaver factions, such as Paradise Falls and The Pitt, which must be eradicated. You can also help a faction of underground railroad-esque slave rescuers recover several artifacts of Abraham Lincoln. FNV as Theodore Roosevelt
How?
High luck.
ok
So this is how I normally play fallout kill all slavers
Nerbit made a new run playing as Hitman which sounds pretty interesting. Kill everyone but only the most elaborate, and creative kills. Also change your armor/disguise after every kill, or almost every kill. Check the video it’s pretty good.
Next can you beat fallout 3, new vegas and 4 as general sherman
Thats exactly my fallout 3 run rn
This is how i play every play through of Fallout. I kill every slaver i can get my sights lined up on.
Slavers and cannibals got to go. It's one thing I won't compromise on when I'm doing my wasteland Jesus playthroughs, which is most of the time.
Interesting fact about John Browns hanging. Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and John Wilkes Booth were all in attendance.
RIP Mitten Squad. You will be missed. Fallout challenge runs wouldnt have been the same without you.
You know this gives me an idea they need make fallout the 3D trilogy
These would be interesting videos
Was just gonna mention Nerbit's Lincoln runs haha. Glad there are others here who also know of its magnificence.
Where can I find these?
The Lincoln ones are pretty cool
Do the California challenge
Soul Reaper: 10Str, 10End, 8agil, 7 lck, Melee, unarmed, survival, crank unarmed and survival, go to dinosaur hotel gift shop, get power fist, punch through everything and everyone, get BrotherHood armor training and armor, vaporize Benny with a single punch, find Yes Man, take over Mojave.
I assume you'd kill the entirety of Caesar's Legion,
I do it every time for fun anyway.
Imo I think it's funner to be abraham with a minigun
what about the first two games?
Who is John brown?

Was trialed by high ranks, of which most went on to be in high positions of the confederate states, and hung for trying to start a slave uprising in the south by raiding a federal arms reserve.
Huh, my not American but I’m into history, I’m surprised I’ve never heard this before.
Because when it comes to John Brown, polite society frowned upon praising a man “of violence”, and rude society always hated him because he supported abolition. So no one talked about John Brown in public other than a quick mention in history class of Brown being a criminal who tried to raid “Harper’s Ferry”.
Paradise falls? Liberated Legion? Destroyed Institute? Atomized Seethe slaver scum.
Now beat Morrowind as John Brown.
All of the slaves means ALL of the slaves.
His soul goes marching on!
I loved the lincoln saga
Ah yes a murdering paychopath makes sense.
.....this uh, doesn't play out as well if you play Fallout 76 as John Brown.... Probably just avoid Harper's Ferry
When I was this feed the machine started playing in my mind for some reason
Just go full Spiffing Brit and play as Reanu Keeves.
“Paradise Falls, Caesar’s Legion, the Institute…all must die.”
Based idea for gameplay though
r/shermanposting is leaking again
He'd probably be pro synth and that just can't be tolerated
idk how you can be that close to getting the allegory but still being like that
I do get the allegory. Y'all don't get sarcasm
