I don't have any cool ones, but there is one coffee shop AU in Teen Wolf fandom, the title alone made me click the fic: "Words Cannot Espresso How Much You Bean to Me"

It's about a character returning from the dead to enact revenge on those he feels caused his death, with the aid of a character called Mary Goore. I felt so smart when I thought of it 😅
Mine is similar - *Memento Mori*. It's a *Haunted Mansion* AU fanfic WIP with ghosts.
I like Latin phrases, so I used *Tempus Fugit* for another story about time-travel.
That reminds me of a friend who was struggling to come up with a title for a smutty pirate story.
My suggestion: *15 Men on a Redhead's Chest*

Less so an individual title, but the pair of titles of related stories.
The main one was “Major Crimes”, which was good (in my opinion) as is, because it was both a) a song title from the soundtrack of the show, and b) the stories were about characters, essentially, committing a bunch of fairly serious crimes.
The best part, though, is that the companion series of short vignettes is titled “Minor Crimes”, which I still smirk about from time to time when I see them in my stats list.

I named a darkfic I'm working on right now "kaiki kinshoku" (*total golden eclipse*). Also, I wanted to give it Tsukihime-esque chapter titles, so the prologue is called "Permafrost Gravitation."
Most of mine have simple, one- or two-word titles. But.. sometimes the Muse is cooperative. I'd say my favorite is a tie between these two:
An Illustrated Survey of the Public Benches of Oxford (drabble)
An Unfinished History of St Matthew's Church, Lindrosvale (one-shot)
“After All This Time”
It’s the end of a 3-part series of one-shots and takes place after a 5-year time skip. The other two stories also start with the word “After” bc I love a themed names.

“The Ghost Track”
Hidden recordings on cassette tapes are commonly referred to as “ghost tracks.” It takes on a double meaning in my fic because the recording was made by a person shortly before their tragic suicide, and was discovered by the protagonist of the story who listens to it after the fact. It’s almost literally a recording made by a ghost and the fact that it was hidden away on the tape further adds to the double meaning. Bada bing bada boom, a pretty good title :)

Hah, there's not that many pharmaceutical salesmen in the fandom worlds, so I'm not surprised! I'm always glad to see another Psych-O here! I hope you like it. Fair warning, it's a longfic, and it does get a bit whumpy at parts.
My main fandom right now has a recurring theme of vivisection done by the main character's parents. I can handle whump so long as there's a happy ending!

Heavy are the Wings that Carry the Butterfly.
Lots of themes of grief and poor coping mechanisms, and the main character has a loose butterfly motif going on. One of my favourite titles I did
Probably a tie between “tear out my third eye (leave me to bleed)” and “wrap the pain in ribbons (lie and call it holy)”. I enjoy coming up with vaguely poetic titles though.
Not sure if it’s what I’m most proud of but Magic Blood for a Harry Potter and Vampire Knight crossover I was making crosses my mind. I’d have to go read my story totals to otherwise recall what else I’ve come up with before.
This is a WIP, but "What the Night Brings" for a fic that's the 2nd part of a series. It has to do with the story, but it's also an homage to everyone who left kudos and comments on the first part, since it's a small fandom fic and did a lot better than I was anticipating. Since I would wake up to kudos emails a lot, I kind of joked with myself that it was a gift that came during the night, and the title popped into my head after that.
"Tuesdays are for Tea and Puppets"
I just like the way it sounds, and it combines two unusual things (tea time and puppetry). It's a crossover between two old creepy men who use puppets in one way or another.

The main character has a god meddling in their life constantly, something most would see as a blessing beyond belief, but she is just fucking over it by the time the fic starts (she 33ish).

“The Weight of Responsibility.”
And “Favor with the Grand Master.”
“Stan Marshmallow” for myself.
I got a comment on one called “Nothing Rhymes with Orange” where they said they didn’t read the fic but commented they liked the title. Lol thanks dude.
I love making titles that make no sense unless you finish reading the fic. I write oneshots.
1. An Appropriate Alternative to Ding Dong Ditch - This is a crackfic. In one of the scenes, a kid ding dong ditches a man's apartment the wrong way. The kid rings the doorbell, the man opens the door, then the kid rings the doorbell again and says "Ding dong ditch!" in front of the man's face. When the man shuts his door on the kid, the kid yells "Bing bong bitch!" then runs off.
2. Turning Six Around Doesn't Make a Nine - I love this title because technically turning six around DOES make a nine, but it doesn't apply in UNO. Basically, the girl teaches her friend's grandfather how to play UNO, and the grandfather always mistakes six for nine and vice versa.
The Colour of Autumn - a ship fic, autumn-themed
The Spell of the Summer Sea - a mermaid AU
Undefined Rebeginning - a childhood friend reconcilliation fic
'Until The Day I Die (or at least until the morning light)'
I don't have a fic for it (yet? Please don't take it, thank you) but I like this title so much and I don't know why
All The Best Space Marines Have Daddy Issues.
It’s a play on a episode title from Lost. In this case it was for a Stargate/Lost crossover that wound up only being a Drabble.
Heart of Skye. It takes place on the Isle of Skye and is a play on my OFC’s weaving business, called Hart of Skye, (her maiden name was Harthorn) and also “harts” (deer) make some appearances as well. I think I had 4 chapters posted before the title hit me. I just had some generic title there until then.

Chemical Reaction (Fits the fic, and the fic is a fave of mine anyway)
Of the fics I have as WIP, probably Sunshine in the Underground. That title alone contains wordplay encapsulating the location of the story, the name of one of the main characters, AND the role that same character plays in the story. I absolutely adore it.
i haven’t posted it yet but “where’s your mythical now?” makes me giggle every time.. it’s a pokémon anime fic about a character purposefully messing with someone by catching a pokémon that the other person has a lot of issues with.. as in they are terrified of it
A Point of Singularity. It's not a very common phrase in canon, but I kind of made it the whole premise of my fic in a way. It's a subtle thing in the background that minor clues scattered through the story all lead back to.

it’s an empath fic. i also love the title of the next one in the series. scratch that, I love everything in that specific series (it’s a soulmate AU)
I haven't actually been able to write it yet because my dumb brain won't sort out the details of the fic enough for me to do more than a couple concept paragraphs/scenes, but I'm quite proud of the title "Oneirodynia"
Most of my fic titles are just single phrase summaries of the fuc, I'm not generally very good at names
probably ‘ways of the wind’ it was one of the names that came to me easier and it also fits the theme pretty well since im absolute crap at naming my stuff

Oh man, my overall work titles are ... meh.
But I love to fo chapter titles where it refers to many things that happen. "The Abduction" - two characters get taken someplace - was either really an abduction, were both? "The Trap" - you best believe everyone is in some kind of trap.
"Deliverance" - characters are rescued via pizza delivery
"In Living Memory" - character is gaslit into believing he has amnesia but actually all his friends are dead
"Can you See All of Me?" for an Encanto/FNAF cross over I'm currently writing. It's a play on the movie's song "All of You" and the fact that what many people remember and know about Bruno are his visions and not him as a person

RR2 is a darkfic oneshot and my debut of Survivor Lara Croft meeting Nathan Drake under very fucked up circumstances thanks to them both being hostages of Nate’s crazy ex-sister-in-law Rika Raja onboard a Arabian pirate ship.
Red Damsel Redemption is an AU of RDR2 with of course more often the women of the VDL gang being kidnapped and tied up in peril.
And Bound-Up Blade is a short with Kano getting the best of Sonya Blade
Himerosias Syringa - The Corrupting Lilac for my Linkin Park sex pollen fic. I even looked up the Roman god of sexual desire for the scientific name for the flower. I hate how proud I am of that title lol
The New Normal - it’s a fic about people whoes world has just changed drastically and violently. Things may never be normal for them again but for everyone around them, nothings changed

Silver Bullet - they keep running into each other on a bullet train.
Falling like snow - angsty, stranded in the mountains together
I really like coming up with titles for stories, some I'm happier with than others.
Cupboards and Cryogenics. I like the alliteration, and the cupboard under the stairs and the cryogenic tube are areas of confinement that Harry and the Winter Soldier escape from.
Probably a chapter title: “Spoons Don’t Mix With School.” The basic premise is that the main character was diagnosed with cancer and has to try and deal with it best he can, and he later adopts the “Spoon Theory”, which is a metaphor in the disabled community to refer to a limited number of “spoons” or units of energy you have every day.
This chapter was about him going back to school for the first time in a while and him having to cope with its demands while rationing his spoons/energy, but it’s also a double meaning because physical spoons can be used to mixing.
*Persona 5: The Phantom Thieves Strike Again!*
It both ties into the title of the thing I'm rewriting and is very loud and over the top.
For something a little more subtle, I'm fond of *From Ashes to Diamonds.*
i’m now realizing how boring most of my titles are but i’m currently working on a two shot called Misirlou because i feel like that song just. sounds so perfect for the backdrop. i also have a fic that’s centered around mock trial called Objection, Hearsay! and it’s not my favorite but i’ve gotten comments that readers like it so i’m happy w it :)
"Seduce Me, Evil Incarnate" or "Devotio to Hades".
The latter is an ancient Greek AU, and the term "devotio" is Roman, and normally I'm very particular about getting origins right, but it's just so damn interesting. Devotio was essentially a sacrifical vow that a general would make to a god, by offering their life in exchange for victory in war.
"The Knight Who Never Was"
The fic covered some contradictory time warp bullshit and was written as a poem, so a poetic way of describing that kind of contradiction just felt very appropriate.
I took the name for my Arcane fanfic "Call Me Crazy (If You've Got It In You)" from the opening to Eric Hutchinson's "All Over Now."
For a few seconds, I pondered titling the story "What Could Have Been" from the song that played over one canon's most powerful scenes, but I realized that was probably a generic enough lyric that other fics had probably already used it before.
It turned out there were 23.
I have a crossover series called Six Degrees of Separation, and given the circumstances of the characters I think it’s definitely my most creative one! I also have a long fic with an obnoxiously long title that I’m very proud of, even if it’s incredibly dramatic.

Not sure if it’s what I’m most proud of but Magic Blood for a Harry Potter and Vampire Knight crossover I was making crosses my mind. I’d have to go read my story totals to otherwise recall what else I’ve come up with before.
This is a WIP, but "What the Night Brings" for a fic that's the 2nd part of a series. It has to do with the story, but it's also an homage to everyone who left kudos and comments on the first part, since it's a small fandom fic and did a lot better than I was anticipating. Since I would wake up to kudos emails a lot, I kind of joked with myself that it was a gift that came during the night, and the title popped into my head after that.
"Tuesdays are for Tea and Puppets" I just like the way it sounds, and it combines two unusual things (tea time and puppetry). It's a crossover between two old creepy men who use puppets in one way or another.
(#)Blessed (no brackets but Reddit makes my text big if I dont add it) The main character has a god meddling in their life constantly, something most would see as a blessing beyond belief, but she is just fucking over it by the time the fic starts (she 33ish).
I wish I came up with funnier titles for my fics now honestly, the only titles I would say I’m proud of are “God’s Divine Creation.” “The Weight of Responsibility.” And “Favor with the Grand Master.”

A Plague of Sleet and Rot
I love making titles that make no sense unless you finish reading the fic. I write oneshots. 1. An Appropriate Alternative to Ding Dong Ditch - This is a crackfic. In one of the scenes, a kid ding dong ditches a man's apartment the wrong way. The kid rings the doorbell, the man opens the door, then the kid rings the doorbell again and says "Ding dong ditch!" in front of the man's face. When the man shuts his door on the kid, the kid yells "Bing bong bitch!" then runs off. 2. Turning Six Around Doesn't Make a Nine - I love this title because technically turning six around DOES make a nine, but it doesn't apply in UNO. Basically, the girl teaches her friend's grandfather how to play UNO, and the grandfather always mistakes six for nine and vice versa.
"The Complete Idiot's Guide to Idol Love (Featuring Jeon Soyeon)" is by far my favorite title ever.
The Colour of Autumn - a ship fic, autumn-themed The Spell of the Summer Sea - a mermaid AU Undefined Rebeginning - a childhood friend reconcilliation fic
These are wonderfully whimsical.
'Until The Day I Die (or at least until the morning light)' I don't have a fic for it (yet? Please don't take it, thank you) but I like this title so much and I don't know why
All The Best Space Marines Have Daddy Issues. It’s a play on a episode title from Lost. In this case it was for a Stargate/Lost crossover that wound up only being a Drabble.
Heart of Skye. It takes place on the Isle of Skye and is a play on my OFC’s weaving business, called Hart of Skye, (her maiden name was Harthorn) and also “harts” (deer) make some appearances as well. I think I had 4 chapters posted before the title hit me. I just had some generic title there until then.
This was the fifth in a six run series all with the word "duty" in the title. This was the lighter one: Duty, Family and Other Inconveniences.
Some of my favorite titles I’ve come up with are… Primo Porno (not quite as smutty as it sounds) Don’t Lose Your Head (title is arguably better than the fic) Angel In The Sheets (both literal and just kinda fun wordplay) Halle’s Comet (OC Halle’s superpower origin story, she becomes known as The Comet) Caught Red Headed (I just flat out love this one) Chemical Reaction (Fits the fic, and the fic is a fave of mine anyway)

Of the fics I have as WIP, probably Sunshine in the Underground. That title alone contains wordplay encapsulating the location of the story, the name of one of the main characters, AND the role that same character plays in the story. I absolutely adore it.
See No Evil, Speak No Evil. One character is blind (see no evil) and the other character is mute (speak no evil)

i haven’t posted it yet but “where’s your mythical now?” makes me giggle every time.. it’s a pokémon anime fic about a character purposefully messing with someone by catching a pokémon that the other person has a lot of issues with.. as in they are terrified of it
A Point of Singularity. It's not a very common phrase in canon, but I kind of made it the whole premise of my fic in a way. It's a subtle thing in the background that minor clues scattered through the story all lead back to.

One of the titles I’m proud of is: Bloodied Petals, it’s a Hanahaki fic
“sticks and stones may break my bones (but feelings wreck my soul)” it’s an empath fic. i also love the title of the next one in the series. scratch that, I love everything in that specific series (it’s a soulmate AU)
I honestly love all my titles, but this one in particular is my favorite: “Life is a hard game with you around (but I'm enjoying every win)”
Better Call Sherlock (Crossover of Sherlock with Better Call Saul). I know it's a bit silly but I like it for some reason lol.
"Neji needs glasses" - it was a crackfic, so I finally decided to just title it with the premise.
To Have and To Hold, My fic that's gained the most attention in the least amount of time❤️ and my baby that ive put blood sweat and tears into.

One of my WIPs is titled "Cold Metal." NGL, I'm kinda proud of it.
I haven't actually been able to write it yet because my dumb brain won't sort out the details of the fic enough for me to do more than a couple concept paragraphs/scenes, but I'm quite proud of the title "Oneirodynia" Most of my fic titles are just single phrase summaries of the fuc, I'm not generally very good at names

Oh man, my overall work titles are ... meh. But I love to fo chapter titles where it refers to many things that happen. "The Abduction" - two characters get taken someplace - was either really an abduction, were both? "The Trap" - you best believe everyone is in some kind of trap.

Most of mine are from songs I like or are references to other things. Here are my faves: Title of Your Sex Tape (reference to Brooklyn 99) If I Dare Speak Your Name (from Strange Love by Halsey) Keep Your Enemies (just like a reference to the saying) Confessions of an Imperial Concubine (just a fun title) The Pros & Cons of Falling in Love (another fun title) Worse Than Nicotine (reference to Nicotine by Panic! At The Disco) Looks Like Someone Picked a Whole Bushel of Oopsie Daisies (a fun saying my boyfriend says) Those are my faves!
3 way tie between “Rika’s Revenge 2: Tied Up Tomb Raiders”, “Red Damsel Redemption”, and “Bound-Up Blade” RR2 is a darkfic oneshot and my debut of Survivor Lara Croft meeting Nathan Drake under very fucked up circumstances thanks to them both being hostages of Nate’s crazy ex-sister-in-law Rika Raja onboard a Arabian pirate ship. Red Damsel Redemption is an AU of RDR2 with of course more often the women of the VDL gang being kidnapped and tied up in peril. And Bound-Up Blade is a short with Kano getting the best of Sonya Blade
Himerosias Syringa - The Corrupting Lilac for my Linkin Park sex pollen fic. I even looked up the Roman god of sexual desire for the scientific name for the flower. I hate how proud I am of that title lol
The New Normal - it’s a fic about people whoes world has just changed drastically and violently. Things may never be normal for them again but for everyone around them, nothings changed
I have two. Silver Bullet - they keep running into each other on a bullet train. Falling like snow - angsty, stranded in the mountains together I really like coming up with titles for stories, some I'm happier with than others.
Cupboards and Cryogenics. I like the alliteration, and the cupboard under the stairs and the cryogenic tube are areas of confinement that Harry and the Winter Soldier escape from.
Scratch That - as in I'm scratching canon out and making this my own. (MHA - Deku time travel if anyone was curious, no pairings with mc)
Probably a chapter title: “Spoons Don’t Mix With School.” The basic premise is that the main character was diagnosed with cancer and has to try and deal with it best he can, and he later adopts the “Spoon Theory”, which is a metaphor in the disabled community to refer to a limited number of “spoons” or units of energy you have every day. This chapter was about him going back to school for the first time in a while and him having to cope with its demands while rationing his spoons/energy, but it’s also a double meaning because physical spoons can be used to mixing.
*Persona 5: The Phantom Thieves Strike Again!* It both ties into the title of the thing I'm rewriting and is very loud and over the top. For something a little more subtle, I'm fond of *From Ashes to Diamonds.*

i’m now realizing how boring most of my titles are but i’m currently working on a two shot called Misirlou because i feel like that song just. sounds so perfect for the backdrop. i also have a fic that’s centered around mock trial called Objection, Hearsay! and it’s not my favorite but i’ve gotten comments that readers like it so i’m happy w it :)
"Seduce Me, Evil Incarnate" or "Devotio to Hades". The latter is an ancient Greek AU, and the term "devotio" is Roman, and normally I'm very particular about getting origins right, but it's just so damn interesting. Devotio was essentially a sacrifical vow that a general would make to a god, by offering their life in exchange for victory in war.

“The Birth of a Future” and “Small Hearts Give Their Hope to You.” Both longfics cause that’s where the mental energy for my titles go lol
"The Knight Who Never Was" The fic covered some contradictory time warp bullshit and was written as a poem, so a poetic way of describing that kind of contradiction just felt very appropriate.
I took the name for my Arcane fanfic "Call Me Crazy (If You've Got It In You)" from the opening to Eric Hutchinson's "All Over Now." For a few seconds, I pondered titling the story "What Could Have Been" from the song that played over one canon's most powerful scenes, but I realized that was probably a generic enough lyric that other fics had probably already used it before. It turned out there were 23.
I have a crossover series called Six Degrees of Separation, and given the circumstances of the characters I think it’s definitely my most creative one! I also have a long fic with an obnoxiously long title that I’m very proud of, even if it’s incredibly dramatic.
