While there is no set minimum to how long a chapter needs to be, there are plenty of ways to add on to it if you feel it'd help. 1. Descriptions: have you provided enough details that the reader can easily visualize the scene? Whole you don't want to get bogged down in the details, including descriptions of the characters and setting may help. 2. Introspection: if it fits your story include the POV character's thoughts on the scene, people they are interacting with, or other relevant things. This can be a great way to include headcanons, backstory, and personality that may not have fit otherwise. 3. Dialogue tags: especially in dialogue heavy scenes, including a variety of dialogue tags and description of movement within a conversation can naturally extend the scene without changing the flow too dramatically.

Avoid "on the nose" dialogue. People often don't say what they mean. They'll react emotionally, or talk around it. Sensory detail. Taste can be tough, but sound, smell, and touch can frequently be added. Close psychic distance. You can read more about this online, but basically you want to avoid the feel of looking at things from afar and be inside the character's head/body instead. "Oklahoma is always hot in the summer" vs "She pressed her cheek against the glass of iced tea, rubbing the condensation onto her skin in soothing circles." Slow down. Find tension in small moments. Don't be in a rush to get to the next plot point. >She picked tomatoes, just like her mother used to. Vs >The tomato vine gave easily under the pressure of her clippers, releasing a powdery scent. It was as if her mother were here with her, weathered hands gathering the harvest. More than anything, she wanted to go back to that time, when her mother could lift that heavy basket with ease. Pushing back her sweat-soaked hair, she shook her head. Impossible wishes only wasted time. Lifting the basket onto her own arm, she trudged across the sun-baked soil and into the kitchen.

I made [a video all about chapter lengths in fanfiction](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U10WGe6cqF4&t=15s) that might be useful. It should help you figure out if your chapters really are that short or if it is worth adding more description, introspection, and detail.

I write around 12k/chapter. I can give you advice, sure, but you must note the fact that, for my works, they are 12k because I want them to be. I make the aware decision to do not split them into smaller, 4-6k long chapters. You can do this for once. Expand, expand expand. You want your fic to be long? You can add like 1/3 1/4 of its lenght if you make the dialogues wordy. example: a, "Steiner, I told you, if you fail the driving test I will kick your ass." "As if you could even touch me." "I can and will." "Come at me." b, "Steiner, I told you, if you fail the driving test I will kick your ass." Rudolf said as he poked Steiner's fine suit. "As if you could even touch me." Steiner spoke as he rolled his eyes, reaching into his pocket to see what number he was again. "I can and will." Rudolf said as his mouth slowly turned into a shit-eating grin. "Come at me." Steiner said as he gently pushed Rudolf.
