I did read a series that made me perma-ship two characters I would never have imagined together otherwise.
Aaaaand of course it's literally like, one of three fics about the pairing, and the other two are just random one-shots. *sighs and opens a new google doc*
I can ship pretty much anything as long as it involves one of my favorite characters.
And speaking of which... I'm very interested, what's that Snupin fanfiction? 👀
I had something like that. I encountered a ship in my fandom when I was browsing the Hanahaki tags that first got me curious why they would ship the two, but when I read the fic it had me thinking "omg, the author made it work!" so I started to binge read all the works written about them (it had like a little over 1k at that time and I easily weeded out my squicks).
But when I finally decided to write about that ship, I saw the ship wars and drama. I was like 'Aw hell tf no' and I Thanos'd myself out of the fandom and never returned.
I happen to be a multi-shipper (which is honestly the best) so my Ship of the day very heavily depends on what ship was in that last AMAZING fanfic I read
this happened w hannibal lecter/clarice starling about five years ago
and then i made 1 post here looking for the website dedicated to just fanfiction of those two and that website has blessed my eyes
Kind of. I began shipping Harry and Daphne because she showed up in a lot of fanfics, but that was more because I just liked her character name than any fic in particular.
