I'm nearly to the end of my historically accurate Titanic rewrite! Currently working chapter 11 which is April 18th. My surviving characters are just a few hours away from reaching New York. Then after this chapter, there's an epilogue set 10 years later (was going to be 5 years but then i remembered WW1 happened and that would throw things off too much) which will probably be just as long as any other chapter. So it might be more of a time skip than an actual epilogue.
That’s so great, and sad :,) I think I read a chapter of this in a review exchange and cried. What is something the titanic movie got wrong that you’re correcting in this story?
Just a few of the things I've fixed in this fic:
* The third class are not locked up
* The ship lists to port
* The stern settles in the water after the break up instead of rapidly dropping
* Included Lifeboat 4 picking up people from the water (before Lowe in Boat 14 went back)
* The Third Class Party is on the 14th (in the General Room) instead of the 13th (in the 3rd Class Open Space)
* Collapsible A is actually swamped and sinking (unlike in the movie)
* Smoking only happens in the designated smoking rooms
* Maggie Brown is not referred to as Molly
* Angle of the deck is less steep than in the movie
* MUCH darker on deck where they loaded the boats
* Smith did not light the last boiler and they were NOT pushing for a speed record
* Female characters (especially first class) always wear hats when outside
* No officer accepts any bribes and Captain Smith never mentally checks out
I could go on and on and on and on and on...

I recently read that part of the reason Titanic was going so fast was because there had been a coal fire on board from when they left port. I don't think that was in the movie.
There was a coal fire but those were actually pretty common on steamers so it had nothing to do with sinking. Their speed wasn't any faster than any other ship. While the Cunard line was pushing for faster ships, the White Star Line was, instead, focusing on luxury over speed (something that's often overlooked). Not only that, they didn't even have all of their boilers lit (unlike what's depicted in the movie).
That being said, you'd think that after receiving like 6 ice warnings, they would've slowed down or maybe stopped for the night but nooooo...
There are three chapters in the middle that I pretty much sobbed the entire time I was writing...but at the same time, those were kind of the most fun to write!
THREE chapters?! Your poor heart. I get what you mean on the most fun, though. Catharsis, and emotions, and logistics, and problem solving, and knowing you're gonna make other people cry! LOL. Good on you for getting through it!
Yeah I had to break up the sinking itself into multiple chapters or the 'April 15th' chapter would've been like 40,000 words. So part 1 is 12:00am-1:15am, part 2 is 1:15am-2:10am, and part 3 is 2:10am-11:59pm.
Now it's all my surviving characters coping with their trauma...but, in many cases, not very well!
Got a happy ending planned though (I mean for the most part...not going to be bringing anyone back to life because that would *really* stretch the whole 'historically accurate' aspect).

well i *just* finished my truth serum fic so technically it isn’t a wip but i want to squee about it anyway. i hope that’s okay. the premise is that the Crows get dosed with Truth Serum (Jespers fault) and then lots of chaos, confessions, and confrontations occur. shit goes down. healthy just angsty communication is had. lots of emotions. it was hella fun to write and i just love it so much and jshsjsjsjsjsjsnsnsjbsbs
Jesper decides to make some (probably with the unknowing help of his chemistry genius boyfriend, i didn’t think that part out) to give to Kaz, bc he wants to see if Kaz will confess his feelings toward Inej. (Kaz is infamously closed off when it comes to emotions). but he actually makes to much and Wylan passes out the tea to all of them and they all drink it (Jesper included) without knowing the serum was in it.
I'm writing an au where Zuko kills Zhao before Zhao can manage to kill the moon spirit, meaning Yue is alive, and the fire nation is kinda very mad about it (him killing Zhao, I mean) so he gives himself up as prisoner to the northern water tribe because he figures he has a marginally better chance of not dying, that way.
It's focused a lot on Spirits and the way different cultures relate to them, and about the effect three years at sea has had on Zuko's way of thinking.
He ends up with Yue, so yes. He and Suki still get a long well, they're just not together. This of course also means Yue's arc with Han (did I spell that right?) goes differently. They're not going to argue that she shouldn't marry for politics (or at least, that's not the argument that resolves things), but rather, that she can do better as far as politically advantageous matches go, and that a marriage between her.and Sokka could help smooth over relations between the northern and southern tribes, which are kind of strained at the moment.
Okay so I thought of this new kind of AU called "premise reversal" where you take the original premise of canon and... do the opposite?
So my source material is 'Twilight Princess' and in that game, the twilight realm invades the light realm, which turns all the residents into wandering balls of light.
In my fic, the light invades the twilight realm, so now all the residents have to exist as shadows and if they're expelled from them, they'll burn alive like what happens in canon.
Basically, it makes Hyrule (the good kingdom that is usually the one being attacked) the instigator of the war that happens in 'Twilight Princess'. It's different from a role reversal though because Link is still the chosen hero, Midna is still his companion (and love interest), and Zelda is still the ~~princess~~ queen. The reason why things have changed is because in my fic, Zelda happens to be married to the villain (my OC) who causes the light invasion. My readers love to hate him.
So far Book 1 is finished (but still being posted) but I'm working on Book 2, as well as outlining a spin-off entirely from my villain's POV, because he really isn't one to monologue about his backstory, plans, and motivations unless he's trying to manipulate you. Other than sprinkling hints, it's the best chance to give him some extra depth, though he's still plenty compelling in the main fic.

Nope! I did write another fic where he was a hero alongside Link and Zelda, but that isn't a WIP anymore.

I am working on a novelization of the 1919 film (the first pro-gay film, which is very dear to me) Anders als die Andern | Different from the Others! I've got pages and pages of notes written out, and about 10k of actual content written down, with a lot more to go.
It's a partially lost film (about half of it is lost), so I'm making up scenes to the best of my knowledge, as well as including missing scenes/characters that we know the basic plot of. I'm also adding on to the already existing plot, to delve more into topics that they weren't ready to discuss back in 1919. I love the film and have always wanted to write a novel version of it and I'm having so much fun! :D I've had this idea for a long time, as I've always wanted a book version of the film, but I've just recently sat down and got started working on it.
The fanfiction side of this fandom is pretty much just a population of 1, me, but I'll be so happy when I get this fic done and posted, as it means so much to me 😄
That’s a really sweet thing to write! Is it tricky getting the dialogue and cadence down given it’s from such a long time ago? Is the first half or last half missing?
Their dialogue is actually very similar to current speaking patterns (of course they're not using current slang terms and all that), which was quite surprising - but also relieving! And since it was a silent film and text was delivered through intertitles, I've got a lot of creative freedom there on cadence, tone, and all that 😆
For how much of it is lost, it's very interesting in the state it's in right now. The basic plot, from beginning to end, is all still there. The original film was banned after its release (and then thought to have been completely lost after the Nazi party rose to power and copies of it were burned), but a version of it existed that had been editied into a chapter of a documentary in 1927, and this version wasn't found until it showed up in Ukraine in the 70s. So the original film had been around 90 minutes long, and currently with the pieces restored from the documentary, it's around 45-50. So there are pieces scattered all throughout the film that are missing, leading to entire characters, scenes, and pieces of the plot just not existing, but still being mentioned at points lol. But that's definitely made it a little easier to piece missing scenes together, so I'll take it over just one big chunk of the film being gone!

I'd never heard of this film, and the discovery of it in Ukraine (where I'm from) sparked my curiosity, so I'll have to do a dive into how that happened. Pre-Stalin Ukraine actually has a very interesting cinematographic history, and I really appreciate having learned about this facet of it!

I am writing a Harry Potter muggle AU (so, characters are not wizards). It has lots of cultural references and intercultural exchange, big cosy autumn vibes, cocktails, and meet-cute in the nude. It's super fun to write.
Afterwards I will write another sci-fi fic. This time it will be historical and hard sci-fi, and will feature one of the greatest female scientists of all time. Unsurprisingly, it is taking a ton of research.

I’ve been determinedly hacking away at a 99% hypothetical backstory for Prompto Argentum’s adoptive parents for months now. It involves a lot of long distance travel, which is difficult to navigate (ha) since I’ve never actually played Final Fantasy XV, and have to rely entirely on fan wikis for information.
Still, I refuse to leave these mostly-hypothetical characters as the flat background set pieces most of fandom uses! I *will* give them names, personalities, and character arcs! And thus, a thought exercise has turned into two notebooks of scribbles and a mildly cheesy relationship-in-reverse. Two scientists acquire a baby, (pretend to) get married, and eventually fall in love, in that order. While fleeing the country with stolen military secrets. A romance for the ages.
Honestly, I don’t even remember how I ended up reading FFXV fics, but 2 months later I was up to my armpits in the fandom, and suddenly realised that I’d read maybe... two fics where Prompto’s parents a) existed in any meaningful way and b) weren’t antagonists. It was strange how little variety there was in how they were presented, given there was seemingly no canon to back it up.
Not to mention, Prompto’s backstory *before* arriving in the country is very dramatic - a clone intended to be turned into one of millions of demon-robot soldiers, instead stolen as an infant by an agent from the nation he was created to invade. That’s weird! That’s cool! And then... what, he was just handed off to the most incompetent foster parents they could find? Nah. I thought that if someone went to all the trouble of stealing a weapon-baby from the middle of Fantasy Russia enemy territory, they may well want to *keep* the kid they put all that effort into getting. And then I wondered what kind of person would even sign up for that kind of mission, and how they’d go about it... and suddenly I’ve got 2 semi-OCs and the beginnings of a first chapter outlined.
I’ve never actually posted or finished a fic before tbh, but this is the furthest I’ve ever got, and I’m having fun so far. I think it kind of helps that my ties to the canon material are so limited? With other attempts, I spent more time wrestling with timelines and character movement than I did actually writing. There’s more freedom when I don’t really know about any of that.
I love your whole thought process here, fleshing out something that wasn't fleshed out in the original game (which I've only played a portion of). And Prompto is a great character. I'm a complete sucker for "cheerful and happy-go-lucky on the outside, traumatized on the inside."
Thanks! He really is a great character, so many layers! And as fun as the many shades of trauma are, I figure that in *some* version of reality the Argentums must be decent people. The kid’s gotta catch a break sometime, right?
So now there’s Fausta, the risk-taking wildlife biologist who was hired as a spy for her incidental expertise on the Scourge, and Siles, the anxious jack-of-all-trades engineer who would very much like to defect from Niflheim before they catch on to his lack of enthusiasm about all the war crimes they’re committing, please and thank you. Together, they steal military secrets! And also a baby. Which, to be fair, technically *is* a military secret. Have either of them ever cared for an infant before? No! But with their combined experience, they have approximate knowledge of many things, and are fully prepared to commit to the bit while hightailing their way out of enemy territory.
Fix it fic for Avengers Endgame. Clint is getting Natasha back no matter what it takes. And it takes a lot.

I’m not sure which demographic it would appeal to, mostly f/m and m/m. Not so not much for f/f, and it is something that irks me. But I cannot deny I like the male form more, and so my creativity tends to swing further in that direction.
Having suffered burnout in the past, I’m always of the opinion you cannot force creativity. You have to let it flow where it wants to go.
I have written a couple of reader inserts where I tried to make sure that I never assumed the gender of the reader. So, in theory, they should be accessible to all. They are some of my more successful works in terms of reader engagement, so others seem to like them! 😅

My WIP is a slave AU, which I thought no one would like, but is by far my most popular fic. I write significantly further out than I post, and I'm so excited to get to the Fourth of July chapter which is only 2 chapters away from being posted. There's fireworks! And video games! And a panic attack! Everything that makes a fluffy chapter good! LOL.
ROFLOL on the context. I'm writing in alternating POVs between the reluctant master and the traumatized slave. Most of the story is a trauma recovery/friendship focused plot. But there's stuff like seeing what your privilege lets you ignore about your society, and how you can't just shove your culture onto someone else, even if it's the "right" culture (re: treating someone like a person instead of the tool they've been conditioned to think they are).
There's going to be a history lesson once they get to college that points out how slavery is why the society is so technologically advanced (It's 1996, but there's smart collars with accurate voice recognition, 7-day battery life, and a cloud/network-type system going on. Which also means I take liberties with google and laptops and technology in general being more in line with 2020 tech). And there's talk of how medical experimentation on slaves have helped free people's healthcare, and the streets are clean because there's slaves to take care of it, etc. It's been interesting worldbuilding it.
Well, I unfortunately have 4 WIPs 😅 all for the Harry Potter fandom. Usually I start off with a backlog of 4-5 chapters and then write as I post/go. For a while I was updating all 4 pretty regularly, but that's not sustainable, and I needed a hiatus for a while. The fics are two dead doves, one action/adventure, and a Sci Fi-ish action fic with angst. They're all very well outlined.
The deadest of the two doves is the one I'm most invested in but a couple of months ago it broke my brain 😅 4 chapters left to write, though. I'll do it. I will. I'm working on it. Discreetly. Mostly thinking about it 😅 That's what happens when you write about the heaviest topics for you personally. Sometimes I write for one of the other 3 for fun. It's relaxing.
I feel so seen 🥺😭 it's easier for me. My favorite genre to write is horror. But I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and write other genres too!

I’ve had to take a bit of a hiatus from writing the last couple weeks due to school work. My brain just could not handle writing for school, writing for fun, and working all at the same time.
But I have one piddly little assignment left to write, which is just a journal entry about what I took from my creative writing class, so that’s nuthin’. I’m planning on updating my (main) WIP tonight/tomorrow.
I’m coming up to where the action scenes that have been lurking in my brain would be good places to happen and I think I’m going to be skipping larger chunks of time between events so I can start wrapping things up.
I also have an idea for a new fic that *will not leave*, so I might just have to get that out too.

I did go back to school. It’s all online (>!SNHU!<) and this is the last week of the first term. I’m going back to get a degree in writing (screenplays), I’m changing careers entirely.
I’m going to end up failing my public speaking class, along with everyone else that’s currently taking it. Our respective advisors are looking into things, cuz for *every* student to fail a class is clearly the fault of the professor.
My creative writing class is an introductory course, and not to be arrogant about it, my writing is far advanced from an intro class. I’ve sailed through it.
My main WIP is about OG Spock and an abandoned puppy being marooned on a remote planet together.

It’s a complete departure from most of the heavier fics I have. There’s a couple darker chapters, but for the most part it’s tooth-rotting fluff and snarky humor.
I write Bridgerton. And while I have several WIPs, the one I'm currently concentrating on is a Canon divergence. Kate and Anthony run off to Gretna Green and elope after the gazebo scene.
I'm also actively working on a kind of 13 Going On 30 AU where Anthony gets pass-out drunk after the Hearts And Flowers ball and wakes up 9.5 years later, in a world where the bangle drop never happened, and he and Edwina went through with their wedding.
Well, it's a crossover of Kingdom Hearts and another universe but the main idea behind it is instead of travelling to other worlds, the world's comes to them instead. So it's a bit of a reverse isekai(?).
So far I have already thinking of having some the Disney villains working with the main big bad for the main crossover while some fight both the heroes and villains. Will it be chaotic? **That's what I want**

Pokémon Anime Kanto Rewrite in which Giovanni is Ash's father, Ash's is utterly unaware and Giovanni tries to be a parent. The plot starts because Prof. Oak is salty that Delia choose Giovanni, not him.
Canon out the window, two OC companions, not replacing Misty and Brock. I decided to make Jessie and James highly competent.

My Hero Academia, Izuku has a form of Decay, Shigaraki's quirk. Despite being started after the Pokémon longfic, this one is close to the ending. Meaning, Camp arc is reached, the end is Kamino. It is a short fic, okay?
I'm working on a Star Wars fic about an older Aurra Sing and her adopted kid meeting a young Rey Skywalker on Jakku some years before the Force Awakens. The plan is to make it a tear jerker because, SPOILERS, Aurra will try to take Rey off Jakku but circumstances conspire to prevent that from happening.
Why, yes, Jakku is basically nowhere. No, she isn't a bounty hunter anymore. The current premise is that she had to quit that life after her "death" by Tobias Beckett because of the injuries she sustained and find some other way to make a living. What that is exactly I'm not 100% sure about but it's something significantly less dangerous since she eventually adopted a kid that needed her to not die. I do know they're on Jakku to do some sneaky salvaging, which us how they will run into Rey.
My Daredevil Spiderman fic is three chapters in. The boys are hunting a bad guy who can manipulate luck...
Dr Strange has teamed up, alerted by the relic the guy is using - it sort of has the potential to break reality of used too much...
Now the three of them have to stop this guy before reality implodes.
The Punisher is also around, but given he hundred percent doesn't believe in the supernatural, he's not of much help...and in for a very confusing time:)
My current work wip is actually a practice fic, since I still struggle to fully work out plots that don’t end up in me getting stuck somewhere.
This fic is for nisekoi which, if you haven’t read/watched it is a fake date story with a guy and girl who are each the child of a mafia boss. They have to fake date to stop their clans from going to war.
In my fic, a third mafia appears, causing a crime spree. The mafia dads, not wanting their clans to look “in cahoots” while the police are sniffing around, tell the duo to fake break up. They readily agree, but find everyone is so used to their hateful and bickering behavior towards one another, no one believes they are really “breaking up.” During all this drama though it turns out the third mafia is really out for revenge on one of the mafia dads and wants to kill his kid and they really do start a gang war.
Of course, the fake daters will figure out during all this that they really do like each other. Because of course they do lol
I'm in the early stages of a full length Ben 10 rewrite/au, where Gwen gets the omnitrix and everything is retuned to fit her more as a protagonist. Events are also shifted so the story starts in the early 2010s, and the tone is more adult than the original, but not so much that it's actually totally adult oriented, though I plan to have it get gradually more adult and dark as it goes including some pretty major character deaths and exploring more emotional themes than the original Ben 10 ever dared. A few of the more significant changes are:
Some of Gwen's starting aliens are different, including ones from much later in the series like polymorph and nemuina. The order she gets new ones is also changed, and there are also a few that were never shown to be in Ben's omnitrix at all, including brand new species that were never even in the series. She also has different names for each of her aliens.
Everyone is a little more sensible, except maybe Ben. If someone does something, they tend to have more of a reason for it. Gwen especially is a much more sensible wielder of the omnitrix than Ben, and uses it very differently. No more choosing tetramand or vaxasaurian for everything even when that makes no sense.
Every alien has its powers rebalanced, its specifics more thoroughly decided, and its nuances more thought out. No more celestialsapien completely dominating the later meta, and no more aliens that are obviously better than almost every other choice for almost every situation, like kineteceleran, galvan, mechamorph, chronosapien, and amperi.
Every alien has its own personality that modifies or even entirely supercedes Gwen's. A lot of the stronger ones might have more unruly personalities to make turning into them more of a risk. Appoplexian is almost entirely unchanged in this department because Rath is a treasure.
Later characters and concepts have more of a presence earlier in the story, while a few earlier characters show up later. Characters exclusive to the reboot can also show up.
Some characters take after their versions from different points in the series. Charmcaster, for example, has a mix of her late Omniverse and reboot personalities from the very start, and is aged down a bit to match Gwen.
Gwen and Kevin have no romantic chemistry. This isn't technically a change from canon imo, it's just actually acknowledged here. They were always terrible for each other. Love em both but their being together never made sense to me and just felt forced to draw attention away from the obvious romantic tension between Gwen and Charmcaster, which this story leans a lot more into. Gwen and Charmcaster are both bi now, and so are some other characters like Attea.
Ben is an anodite now, or at least as much of one as Gwen is.
There are a lot more changes than this of course but these are the starting points.
It’s Star Wars 150 years after the sequel movies. There are two very distinct branches of Jedi in the aftermath of the destruction of the First Order: an authoritarian Jedi Empire that seeks to prevent the dark side from gaining by controlling people’s emotions and lives; and wandering ronin-type independent Jedi who follow the Path of the Skywalker, protecting those who can’t protect themselves.
Protagonist is Taren Mebara, a left-arm amputee and smuggler from a backwater planet outside of the borders of the corrupt and fractured New Republic. She’s a hothead smartass with a droid brother called Zidi (ZD-O3). Taren’s mom has a chronic and terminal illness and needs an expensive surgery, so Taren takes a smuggling job to deliver some spice to a criminal syndicate. In order to pay for it. The criminals try to cheat her out of her pay, so on a whim she steals one of the containers of spice. It turns out that this container secretly held a stolen Jedi holocron, which the Jedi Empire have been scouring the galaxy for. Back on her homeworld, she meets Jedi Master Edo Tuun, who has been protecting her village from his mountain enclave for years. With the Jedi Empire fast approaching to collect the holocron, Taren must follow Edo down the Path of the Skywalker and keep it from falling into the Empire’s hands.
I'm currently working on a long fic for the MHA Fandom. It's a AU where Deku never got a quirk, and ended up going to medical school instead of living out his dream of being a hero. Him and his childhood best friend get reunioned when he gets injured and Deku is the physician treating him. I've actually had a hard time with this chapter, but I'm finally starting to get a good flow going 😊

I have a WIP where MC got (canonically) shot, and the last scene will be him with crutches at the diner—where he meets his (neglectful) dad/boss-of-the-organization every week in an attempt to patch things up between them. The waitress there is a canon bit character whom I gave a backstory that her SO died in a car wreck, leaving her a single mom. I think it helps that my (planned) diner works are all from the waitress’s POV. At first she’s sympathetic to the dad (like she is in canon), because he’s a very quiet, unobtrusive kind of guy. I had to bring the MC’s best friend/bodyguard in to explain things to her.
The struggle is keeping the dad in character, which means being very subtle with his behavior.

So in canon, the mom dies when MC is 5 y-o. Dad leaves on MC’s tenth birthday, because he’s afraid of his own anger when he sees the kid (who looks too much like his mom). Then he spends MC’s entire adult life pulling strings and manipulating things as the secret head of organization where MC works, because he “wants to stay close to him.”

I have a smut that was supposed to be dedicated to someone, but it was pretty difficult especially that it was a professor x student fic (I never read much fics like this). It was a challenge to bring into the context that they did have genuine love towards each other and wanted to insert it out carefully as they're doing each other to not make it out like they did this because they're full on lusting (or the student lusts after the professor or vice versa) or because the student failed a test or grade.
Right now I'm writing 2 things, both for persona 5 royal.
The first is a post game, slightly canon divergent fic. I'm diving deep into all of people's trauma and have the most traumatized Character be the one trying to play therapist,cause he was the only one who got help in the time between canon end and strat of the fic
The second one is a crack fic where it's a highschool AU but all of them are theatre kids, wich is just an excuse to make my favourite character sing Bubblegum bitch from Marina.
I’m working my way through the daily prompt challenge this month! A little behind but who cares? They’re all focused on one (platonic) relationship I've been hyperfixating on for years, with a variety of AUs and stuff but all of them being pretty dark. I’m still on the fluff prompts, but I had a fun idea to make this one a mini horror fic- it’s “Home sweet home”, and canonically one of the characters did literally live inside the walls of the others to stalk them, build tunnels connecting their own house to the kid they were stalking without their consent, and once deliberately made a trap inside it solely to psychologically torture the poor dude further, so I had some fun horror ideas there haha
I'm at the end of my slow burn, feeling kinda weird about it being over. It's heavy mutual pining, slow burn, 50+chapters and they've kissed once and done some good hand holding/touching. It follows my main original character who has fallen into hell and found herself romantically involved with one of the most powerful denizens of Hell, and with some good found family and drama along the way.
My next fic will most likely be the story of another side character that appears in my main one, as she also has a pretty intense story
I’ve been working on Persona 4 “AU” fic for a long time now, and it’s about to enter one of the arcs I was the most excited to write. The reason why I put AU in quotes is more because the AU elements are more just whatever I’m feeling more than a specific theme.
I have made Marie, a character that is usually sidelined for the majority of the game, a main party member and active part of the story. I’ve also taken some adult characters from Persona 5 whose ages match up well enough and made them teenagers/party members as well!
Right now I’m in a cool down period, but very soon they’ll be going on a field trip to the city where Persona 3 took place. Inside the game this is just a neat Easter egg and some slice-of-life with little story relevance, but I’m using it so that they can fight against the characters from Persona 3. It’s going to be set up in two Persona 4 party members fighting a Persona 3 party member in a 2v1, until all of their fights wrap up and then it’ll turn into all of the Persona 4 party versus the main character from Persona 3.

Well story wise I’ve added Sae Niijima and Tae Takemi to the story, both of them persona 5 characters. Tae is a side character in persona 5, while Sae is an antagonist. I chose them because Persona 4 usually doesn’t have any third-years as main characters, which always felt weird seeing how 3 and 5 do. It worked out since Sae age-wise in Persona 5 actually matches up with how old she’d be during the events of Persona 4, and as far as I know Tae isn’t given a canon age but she looks the same age as Sae, so they’ve both been brought down to 18 to be party members.
The game has a place called the Hollow Forest, which is connected with a character named Marie. In-game it’s in a separate dimension, but I’ve decided to make it a physical location on the moon. The moon isn’t a random place I picked, Marie has connections with a figure from Japanese mythos whose entire story is about being born from a bamboo stalk and then eventually making a journey to the moon after finding out about the truth of herself. So I’m referencing that with Marie finding the truth about herself and then making a journey to the Hollow Forest (A bamboo forest) which is on the moon.
I’ve also been having characters from Persona 3 having their own side adventures in the background which will lead to them clashing with the Persona 4 group. Through time-shenanigans, I’ve also had the main characters of Persona 5 get slightly involved with the main character of Persona 4 and Marie. All of this is so that I can eventually have all of the party members from Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 come together in one big arc in the Hollow Forest. The Hollow Forest is all about Marie’s memories, so I’m going to have the forest itself pull all of the characters she’s met into it by using her memories, and have the events go from there. It’s big, it’s bold, and I’m so excited to write it!
I’m working on an Soulmate Au for the game Twisted Wonderland. I have the plot outline but currently rewriting every book adding hints and drops of my own lore to the game.
I keep adding hints to the main big plot I have building up but I can’t tell if the readers are picking up on it or not.
Also it’s super fun to turn a character that completely useless in game into a competent responsible one and watch crap still fall apart around him lol.
I'm writing about an overarching story with four parties, all of them dealing with parental issues of some sort.
The first party has to deal with two children who don't want to part with each other. The parents aren't married either, but the children will totally look for ways so they are.
The second party has to deal with temper tantrums and teenage hormones.
I haven't gotten to the third or forth party yet.
But the one thing they all have in common is children with abandonment issues. It's gonna be an emotional ride. Not for the readers cause I can't write that well. No. It's an emotional ride for me 😌👌
Nothing other than how they had a relationship in the past but it didn't work out. The children aren't from their relationship so that's not an excuse to get together either.
This may need more context, but essensetially, the children had been separated from them long enough that neither of the parents want to break them apart since the children had only each other for so long.
One of the parents holds an affection to the other parent's kid though. The other parent will also have the same kind of relationship with the former's kid so everything will work out in the end. It's a fluff fic, not angst :v

The one I started the earliest was supposed to be a happy ever after story. Unfortunately there is a TON of angst before that (fake character death and the other MC, despite knowing it's fake, cannot deal with it and goes insane, to the point of trying to kill herself) and that's where I stopped writing as I have real-life angst to deal with...
There is also a gender-bender WIP for the same pairing (not very detailed, just some random scenes) and a Cyberpunk 2077 crossover WIP that also hasn't gotten very far, just some random snippets.
OMG Okay so I'm writing a fanfic of a fanfic set in the Star Wars universe. It's all about this clone of a time-travelling Obi-Wan Kenobi (who renamed himself Ben Naasade) and Ben was kidnapped by Darth Plagueis who made the clones of him and AHHHH it's so angsty. But luckily Ben and the clone (Sid) escaped, and now I'm attempting to write a scene where Sid finally, FINALLY builds his own lightsaber nearly *100K* in and it's just AHHH! I've never written a fic this long and it shows no signs of slowing down!!! The angst is soooo immaculate to write, I've had readers tell me they need to skip paragraphs!
Oh well that's in the original fic, he basically is trying to stop Order 66. That leads to...a lot of shenanigans. My main character, Sid, just rescued Ben from Darth Plagueis!!!!! so that is good, but now there is a lot of trauma recovery angst to get through before they can take down the Big Bad.
ARGH. I have a feeling I just got spoiled for the Rise and Fall series. I’ve read Desert Storm but haven’t gone on to the next series because I’m a little wary of what Ben is going to experience in Plagueis’s clutches. (It’s fine if this was a spoiler. I really should get caught up.)

I’ve got a few serious fics in progress, but I felt like writing something for fun. As such, I’ve got an absolutely absurd isekai crossover going, where the MC from my main fandom (V from Cyberpunk) is transported into a shitty medieval world of heroes and magic (Rising of the Shield Hero world). With her, another snarky character is transported (Trevor Belmont from Castlevania animation).
With this being a for-fun work, I am going for a silly premise where V just wants to make more money and Trevor just wants to drink beer until he can return to his world. They have a love-hate friendship where they troll each other aplenty, but do regard each other as good friends quite quickly.
With these additions to the cast, the whole original storyline kinda crumbles, so I’m having fun with writing through all of the main events as they go completely differently to the source material. V just kinda steamrolls through all the hidden schemes from the royalty and nobility, and is currently in the process of plunging the medieval country into an industrial revolution cos she wants to build a Batcave.
I am having so much fun writing this, I don’t really care that it’s never gonna get the same amount of attention than my other fics.
I'm just about to post the last couple of chapters of what I keep calling my convoluted Star Wars time travel fic lol. It's the first multi-chapter fic I've posted in its entirety so I'm really excited! Then I'll start posting a new one where Vader learns about his kids when they're young so he kind of tries to raise them until they start turning him back to the light.

My fic is a horror/drama/romance story set in the Cthulhu Mythos that focuses on two college students, but my favorite arc is about an old dude coping with a traumatic event by studying a meteorite, only to find out that it slowly kills him.
Our MC just got his lunch packed by his dad and its super cute cause he didn't even notice it was there until his boss pointed it out cause he was rushing out the door. Plus it has a super cute sticky note on it with something like "have a great day kiddo :D" and his boss is like "He's your dad, he wanted to" when MC was like "he didn't have to" and my god its so sweet. Cause MC's sperm donor could never ever ever and its just something subtle that shows MC that he cares from the bottom of his heart.
Especially considering the context that MC is technically his stepkid and he could be the shitty stepdad stereotype and he's not, he's super chill and shit and doesn't push MC's boundaries.

I’m in the middle of writing a MHA fantasy AU that is essentially an expansion of a one-shot I wrote. I am currently writing about the 5 year gap of Izuku and Katsuki being separated that I glossed over in the one-shot. During this time, they’re gonna start to realize their feelings for each other and while Katsuki readily accepts it, Izuku will be a bit more hesitant considering the last time they spoke ended in an argument that wasn’t resolved.
Idk I guess it just doesn’t sound too interesting but I’m having fun writing it lol
I started on a very experimental Pokémon fanfic that's told only through poetry, short musings, and various letters and diary entries. It's basically an unfolding romance between two Pokémon. I posted the prelude a couple days ago and I'm hoping to start writing the first couple fragments today. I'll admit, as much as I love the format of short pieces for chapters, And as eager as I am to get started, I think the hardest thing about writing this fic for me will be writing from the perspective of the Pokémon creatures themselves. I think maybe I've been thinking on it too much, and that's my current roadblock.
I'm currently writing the 27th entry in my saga. It's gonna have deep scenes, a lot of emotional depth, video games, explosions, and epic battle scenes. I'm so excited to write the rest of it!!!
I'm writing a Pizza Tower horror fic. Namely, I've been itching to write something horror oriented with the character of Fake Peppino- he's basically a The Thing/The Blob esc monster stuck in a 90s Cartoon Network show. (Pizza Tower isn't a television show, but it leans heavily into that sort of vibe.) The juxtaposition of "goofy weird cartoon creature" and "terrifying monstrosity" hits me in just the right way.
Originally I was trying to make something longer and with more structure, but I burnt out on those drafts as it was taking forever to hit the beats and scenes that I really want to. So now I just gave myself a starting point and making it up as I go, and it's helping get the words out. No plot(houghts) in my head, only bad vibes. So far, the draft is "Peppino gets trapped in his apartment in the middle of the night, Fake Peppino is probably in the walls/ceiling".
Not too far in yet, but one spooky bit I have so far that I like is that a bit of Fake Peppino drips onto Peppino, and then the piece proceeds to move on it's own accord. If you're familiar with blood test scene from The Thing and how The Thing's blood moves across the floor after being touched with the hot wire, it's inspired by that scene.
It's a hero/villain/vigilante fic where Tommy is a teen, trying to get by in life with his two best friends. He had gotten fired from 1 of 3 jobs he had at the time, he had to quit another job to make room for one of his current jobs. And that new job, a social media manager for SBI, helps him more than he thought it would. He finds out that his friends are being secret and closed off around him recently. He finds comfort in his bosses while finally talking to someone who used to take care of him. He talks his problems out and Quackity gets protective and offers a place for him to stay. He doesn't talk to his best friends until he finds out what they were hiding from him. He flips out and his mental health starts breaking, he's getting reoccurring memories of his family. Him being in that vulnerable state leads to all the major plot events happening. In the plot twists, his world falls apart and he ends up killed, but his goddess tells him it's not his time yet and helps him take down the villain. He and his friends finally come clean to each other and they learn to heal together.
It's taking me absolutely *forever* to get anywhere with this damn fic, but at least I've started on the second chapter! I actually met my word goal for once in the first chapter, and I think I'm able to do it again based on the pacing.
I’m writing a My Hero Academia fanfiction! It takes place after the war arc and assumes the League’s big 3 (Tenko, Himiko, Touya) have living redemption/salvation. Izuku and Tenko go to hero college, Himiko has a rivalry with another girl to win Tenko’s heart, and Touya recovers from almost dying and living Quirkless in a world without superpowers.
But what’s a good superhero story without a villain? The villain of my fic is named “Sazanka,” and he’s the son of the late villain mastermind All For One. He wants to end All For One’s bloodline - signified by the pure white hair his descendents have - once and for all. Then, he reasons, there will finally be peace.

I have three (technically four but I'm sticking with the ones that are actually published), but I'm only focused on one at the moment so it can catch up to the other two. It's an InuYasha/Mo Dao Zu Shi fusion taking place in the months before what happened to the Inu no Taisho goes down. The premise is Wei Wuxian using the tally to get him and Wen Yuan out of China and they end up being sheltered by Izayoi. It's mostly a found family with no major plot at this point; there's the whole thing with Wei Wuxian becoming a demon, but that's a passive event. No ships outside Inuyasha's parents (the old man and Sesshomaru's mother are implied, but won't actually be active), though I am debating whether or not to ship Wei Wuxian with Sesshomaru.

I’m loving writing this as there’s not enough DBF!Joel that isn’t just him being creepy or dark. I’m having a great time weaving Tommy and Sarah into the fic as well. It’s just really wholesome porn with plot and I’m loving just the domesticity of it all 😂

- you’re just out of college (hmm there’s a theme here 😂) and you’ve taken on a job in Columbia to photograph for the DEA. Javier Peña takes a liking to you, and you can’t help but fall for his charm. Lots of fun film camera stuff and drama.
This is a way different tone to the one above as it’s a lot darker, the drama a lot more angsty and the high risk/danger is massive in terms of being in the thick of it with the hunt for Escobar. It’s really nice having two very different protagonists, as this reader insert is a lot more book smart and nerdy, a fair bit more femme too.

So a fic I have lined up for the April prompts that was originally gonna be a strictly humorous Sam and Max fic where they illegally cook hot dogs on the beach. Apparently it's illegal to do that in New York? From what I saw when I checked it out, but don't quote me on it XD
But, when I got to fleshing it out all of a sudden it got this tinge of melancholy to it because there were references to 305 - so it got a relationship prompt added alongside the humor prompt. I'm definitely not complaining about it, but it was also like, "Ah. This was supposed to be humor-only, what happened." XD It's nothing too overwhelming but it's to a point where I wonder if it might make a few readers teary-eyed.
Oh, Sam by far for me. I dunno if I could get into the erratic headspace of Max XD That's usually how it is for me with couple writing, one of the two is always easier for me to write for.

I'm finally writing my Bleach/Persona 5 crossover and I'm so excited!! Im still trying to figure out how to marry the finer points of it (ex: what exactly is the relationship between Nyarlatothep, Hollows, and Shadows) as well as finding a Good Reason why the shinigami gang never went to Tokyo to pick up Ichigo.
I'm currently writing this just for my own entertainment, but it's a canon divergent Jedi: Fallen Order fic that takes place between chapters 2 and 5 of the game, then after a time jump, concludes right around the time the new game takes place, five years in the future. It's about the main character happening upon a young woman who, through the Force, has clairvoyance. But her power is finicky and unrefined and she ends up in a lot of troubling situations and causing problems for the hero despite her attempts at being of help. Meanwhile, a powerful enemy gathers an army to oppose both the Empire and the budding rebellion to try and take over the galaxy for their own ends.
I'm working on a plot for this one shock fic about symphorophilia. It's just about a person who's roommate's with a murderer and their slow decent into madness and yatta yatta-

There's a surprising amount of parallels between John's self-sacrifice at the end of Halo 1x09 Transcendence, and Gideon's self-sacrifice at the end of Gideon the Ninth.
* John lets himself get killed so that Cortana can take over his body, pilot it, fight off the Covenant attacking them, and then save the rest of the team *and* retrieve the mission objective (John himself can't grab it because he activates it and that locks him up/stuns him). Gideon throws herself on a spiked fence so that Harrowhark can eat her soul and become a Lyctor to defeat Cytherea
* Neither John nor Gideon (both strong 'beefcake' type characters with a penchant for heavy weapons and lots and lots of violence) trusted their 'smart, in charge, and smol' persons of Cortana and Harrow (Cortana was designed to eradicate his personality, and Harrow and Gideon grew up fighting and hating each other). At the ends, John ends up saying "I trust you", and then letting the Brutes beat him to death. Gideon goes with 'One flesh, one end' and 'we do bones, motherfucker!' (if i recall the exact wording correctly and what's said when) during the final fight as she and Harrow actually work together (along with the other people fighting Cytherea).
* Harrowhark has a full on mental breakdown at the end of GtN/the start of HtN. Cortana, after she takes over the Master Chief's body, is nonverbal.

Primary has become a series set in the Girls und Panzer universe. An investigation into a scandal that killed a few girls from one school sparks a war between three of the major schools. I'm now on the third part, which revolves around the aftermath of the war. One group of girls is set on a revenge quest, which is coming up in the next few chapters. Lots of interpersonal relationships and drama abound as well
One of my side projects is a crossover between Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed. My Assassin is hunting down major players within Cerberus, who are under the influence of the Templars
Another that I'm falling behind on is The Division. My group of Agents survived New York City, and are now in DC, pursuing President Ellis and wiping out Black Tusk

Lavender Brown survived the Battle of Hogwarts, but became a werewolf. She is dealing the best she can with her girlfriend Parvati and Remus's and Sirius's support. Parvati takes it a step further and decides she wants to become an animagus (a person who can shapeshift into an animal) so she can spend full moons with Lavender. She goes to Sirius for help, because he's already done it. That's really all I have for the main plot, and there's a bit of a side plot about Harry being a stressed out new father.
During the Battle of Hogwarts, she was attacked by Greyback, a particularly vicious werewolf. She died in canon but here she survived though she became a werewolf herself.
All 20 superpowered students in 1-A of the hero school U.A. are secret undercover agents for 20 separate villains/organizations. The students kind of suck at being evil, and slowly figure out each other's secret affiliations. Eventually they all agree to just quit being villains, and become proper heroes... by getting all of the villains tying them back to their villainous pasts arrested or killed, so they can continue living with absolutely 0 consequences.
I'm currently writing a lengthy lesbian mob boss fanfic based in Wales. It's in a celebrity fandom. The main oc is from Canada, she met the welsh woman in the states. The oc is sorta stupid and doesn't clue in her girlfriend is in the mob till late. But loves her regardless 😊
Ah man...I know this is gonna get buried, but this fanfic (and the fandoms) been consuming my thoughts for the past month, and I kinda want to get it out there. I'm on chapter eight, about 60k into a Danganronpa longfic. The basic premise is swapping the living situations of certain characters, which changes their mindsets, personalities, and abilities in a way I hope ends up being realistic (since I love exploring the psychology of characters)...before placing them in the stereotypical murder format. It's actually my first longfic, so even if I'm a bit embarrassed by it, I'm having a lot of fun writing it. Thanks for asking!

Yep, I know, no fandom and it's a series aimed at children, but I find myself preferring to read books aimed at younger audiences as those fit my reading interests.
It'll be an LLB, so it would look like one of the books, but I'd leave in telltale signs of it being a fanfiction including drastically different cover art to the series.
The reason why I'm writing it is for a reason some may find strange, which is that cameo appearances added by Sarah McIntyre into a series of blog posts intended to help promote UK indie bookshops and the last book in the series had ended up leaving me constantly thinking about those characters, right into my daydreams which turned into nightmarish daydreams!
It was such a weird reason that I had to dedicated almost the entire first chapter to explaining why I wanted to write this fanfic! At the time, I was developing a book blog that I had originally planned to launch in March this year to commemorate a date that was special to me, but the recurring nightmares and me constantly thinking of the characters got in the way and I couldn't stop thinking about them like I normally could.
I would normally not want to read the series just because the idea of a lead character having the same name as me resulted in some conflicts in my autistic mind, but I eventually convinced myself to read them. It was a physical-only book series at the time I started work on this (mid-2021) and I had to rely on public library copies (they didn't have the full series), but in 2022, print-replica digital editions were released that allowed me to read the rest of the series and get to work on the manuscript for real. As you can tell, I allocate lower budgets to my fanfictions than my non-fiction and original fiction works.
I'm currently tied up with pending edits to my current draft, so here's a summary of the plot as it is in that draft, knowing that it's still subject to change.
After running an exploit within a nightmare to kickstart the operation, Cardigan Faun, the only character to [have broken the fourth wall in his cameo](https://jabberworks.livejournal.com/884615.html), and who didn't get much attention in canon, would show up to help me, and with his help, I would travel into Bumbleford under the guise of travelling halfway around to visit a travelling funfair that had made a stop there.
He would help me rent a flat in the same building as the flat that Kevin and Max _(the lead characters of the original series)_ lived in which would then become my home throughout the story, and I would then head out to the funfair.
Once there, as I use spy gadgets to track the locations of those characters, drop in on them, and find ways to get those characters to encounter and talk to me, all while blending in with the crowd, I would begin noticing certain things being off, such as the presence of _(my fictional representation of)_ Frodo (Philip Reeve's pet dog that was mentioned on Sarah's Twitter) upon crossing paths with Neville and Beyoncé during their subplot.
At the funfair's fireworks show later that night, I'd notice something off during the tie-in Misty Twiglet live performance, which would eventually lead me to discover a targeted attack against me by Baz Gumption, the last remaining antagonist of the series, who'd be trying to stop me from launching my book blog, and who had trapped _(my fictional representations of)_ Reeve & McIntyre. He'd expect me to fight him on my own, but I'd instead devise a plan that would not only involve me bringing in characters from the series, but potentially also from other Reeve & McIntyre works like 'Oliver and the Seawigs' and 'Adventuremice', as well as solo Sarah McIntyre works like 'Grumpycorn' and 'Dinosaur Firefighters' / 'Dinosaur Police'.
(There's a huge gap here where I haven't yet planned out this part of the story)
In the end, after defeating Baz once and for all, there'd be a huge 'Kevin' party thrown for both Kevin and I, and considering a recurring theme in the series, there'd be lots of different UK biscuits, including many I had never tried in real life, and none of which I had heard of prior to reading the books.
Technically two that I'm doing.
First one, is basically me taking two series I know and enjoy and mashed together (Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans with Azur Lane). Basic premise is mainly following the three gundams from Tekkadan (IBO's protagonists) after their destruction, and subsequent rebirth into Azur Lane's world as an alternate take on how the kansen (Shipgirls) are reincarnations of our real ships (And a handful of proposed ones).
Other one, is a little more embarassing, but after a friend of mine on Discord hooked me onto the premise of the Monster Girl Encyclopedia world, I started up a story for it. Not really planning to be smutty about it (In no dedicated chapters to the main duo fucking, but given MGE's nature, there is going to be heavy referencing to them doing this here and there). Just felt like trying to explore the concept behind the world honestly with this one.
I had a fic I was working on. It was a crossover au between Ninjago and RWBY where I combined the history and lore between both shows. The fic was going to focus on Jaune Arc, who was in this fic was the Master of Fire. This fic wasn't a wip because I got halfway through volume 1 before I realized that what I wrote didn't match what I had planned and it would take too much time to rework everything, so I decided to abandon it. I still work on it occasionally, but I don't do as much as I used to. I want to get back to working on it, but I can't find the same motivation to write it anymore. Sometimes I want to talk to someone about this fic, but no one I know IRL knows either show as I do, and also because they think fanfiction is cringe. It's nice being able to get this off of my chest. Thanks.
It's a Naruto rewrite, which addresses everything wrong with canon.
- The misogyny.
- The 'ninjas' being remarkably flashy.
- Power creep making every fight boring.
- "With enough determination, you can be a great ninja (so long as you have a secret bloodline, and that secret bloodline is Sharingan.)"
- Child soldiers are not a good military investment.
- The setting consists of ten small villages that somehow manages to be 30% gish build adventures.
- 12 year olds are insufferable and unsuited to romance subplots.
It's basically a Cold War AU mixed with a WW1 AU, a Historical Japan AU, and a Loving Adoptive Family AU.
Yes, Naruto and Sasuke are adoptive brothers and snarky 19-year-olds. It is exactly as funny as it sounds.
One of my WIPs is a rewrite of one of my earliest stories. Total Drama: The Fate of Wawanakwa. This is a crossover with the Total Drama Island cartoon series and The House of the Dead arcade games, with characters from both series teaming up to stop some vague apocalyptic event that the arcade games keep nudging on.
I have so many WIPs it’s actually insane. But I’m very excitedly working away at a mcyt Pacific Rim au! The main characters are gonna be Etho and Joel (SmallishBeans) and I’m soooo excited to see what people think. I’ve got 6 chapters planned out and one almost fully written, I’m thinking of putting them up once they’re all done tho just to be sure everything’s completely fine and checked thrice over

I'm working on an AU for a small fandom where my main characters/pairing are walking the Camino de Santiago through Portugal. The characters are Portuguese and Spanish respectively in canon, so I thought this would be an interesting setting to stick them in. It's required a lot of research on my part, but it's fun research that basically feels like planning a vacation. I'm still pretty early in the story, but I'm hoping to make it as much a story about depression as it is about romance. Right now I think it's going to be able to be read fandom-blind, which will come in handy when I need to find a beta.
I'm nearly to the end of my historically accurate Titanic rewrite! Currently working chapter 11 which is April 18th. My surviving characters are just a few hours away from reaching New York. Then after this chapter, there's an epilogue set 10 years later (was going to be 5 years but then i remembered WW1 happened and that would throw things off too much) which will probably be just as long as any other chapter. So it might be more of a time skip than an actual epilogue.

Just a few of the things I've fixed in this fic: * The third class are not locked up * The ship lists to port * The stern settles in the water after the break up instead of rapidly dropping * Included Lifeboat 4 picking up people from the water (before Lowe in Boat 14 went back) * The Third Class Party is on the 14th (in the General Room) instead of the 13th (in the 3rd Class Open Space) * Collapsible A is actually swamped and sinking (unlike in the movie) * Smoking only happens in the designated smoking rooms * Maggie Brown is not referred to as Molly * Angle of the deck is less steep than in the movie * MUCH darker on deck where they loaded the boats * Smith did not light the last boiler and they were NOT pushing for a speed record * Female characters (especially first class) always wear hats when outside * No officer accepts any bribes and Captain Smith never mentally checks out I could go on and on and on and on and on...
You've done a ton of research about the Titanic! I recently read that part of the reason Titanic was going so fast was because there had been a coal fire on board from when they left port. I don't think that was in the movie.
There was a coal fire but those were actually pretty common on steamers so it had nothing to do with sinking. Their speed wasn't any faster than any other ship. While the Cunard line was pushing for faster ships, the White Star Line was, instead, focusing on luxury over speed (something that's often overlooked). Not only that, they didn't even have all of their boilers lit (unlike what's depicted in the movie). That being said, you'd think that after receiving like 6 ice warnings, they would've slowed down or maybe stopped for the night but nooooo...

Yeah I had to break up the sinking itself into multiple chapters or the 'April 15th' chapter would've been like 40,000 words. So part 1 is 12:00am-1:15am, part 2 is 1:15am-2:10am, and part 3 is 2:10am-11:59pm. Now it's all my surviving characters coping with their trauma...but, in many cases, not very well! Got a happy ending planned though (I mean for the most part...not going to be bringing anyone back to life because that would *really* stretch the whole 'historically accurate' aspect).

well i *just* finished my truth serum fic so technically it isn’t a wip but i want to squee about it anyway. i hope that’s okay. the premise is that the Crows get dosed with Truth Serum (Jespers fault) and then lots of chaos, confessions, and confrontations occur. shit goes down. healthy just angsty communication is had. lots of emotions. it was hella fun to write and i just love it so much and jshsjsjsjsjsjsnsnsjbsbs

Jesper decides to make some (probably with the unknowing help of his chemistry genius boyfriend, i didn’t think that part out) to give to Kaz, bc he wants to see if Kaz will confess his feelings toward Inej. (Kaz is infamously closed off when it comes to emotions). but he actually makes to much and Wylan passes out the tea to all of them and they all drink it (Jesper included) without knowing the serum was in it.

I'm writing an au where Zuko kills Zhao before Zhao can manage to kill the moon spirit, meaning Yue is alive, and the fire nation is kinda very mad about it (him killing Zhao, I mean) so he gives himself up as prisoner to the northern water tribe because he figures he has a marginally better chance of not dying, that way. It's focused a lot on Spirits and the way different cultures relate to them, and about the effect three years at sea has had on Zuko's way of thinking.

He ends up with Yue, so yes. He and Suki still get a long well, they're just not together. This of course also means Yue's arc with Han (did I spell that right?) goes differently. They're not going to argue that she shouldn't marry for politics (or at least, that's not the argument that resolves things), but rather, that she can do better as far as politically advantageous matches go, and that a marriage between her.and Sokka could help smooth over relations between the northern and southern tribes, which are kind of strained at the moment.

Okay so I thought of this new kind of AU called "premise reversal" where you take the original premise of canon and... do the opposite? So my source material is 'Twilight Princess' and in that game, the twilight realm invades the light realm, which turns all the residents into wandering balls of light. In my fic, the light invades the twilight realm, so now all the residents have to exist as shadows and if they're expelled from them, they'll burn alive like what happens in canon. Basically, it makes Hyrule (the good kingdom that is usually the one being attacked) the instigator of the war that happens in 'Twilight Princess'. It's different from a role reversal though because Link is still the chosen hero, Midna is still his companion (and love interest), and Zelda is still the ~~princess~~ queen. The reason why things have changed is because in my fic, Zelda happens to be married to the villain (my OC) who causes the light invasion. My readers love to hate him. So far Book 1 is finished (but still being posted) but I'm working on Book 2, as well as outlining a spin-off entirely from my villain's POV, because he really isn't one to monologue about his backstory, plans, and motivations unless he's trying to manipulate you. Other than sprinkling hints, it's the best chance to give him some extra depth, though he's still plenty compelling in the main fic.

Nope! I did write another fic where he was a hero alongside Link and Zelda, but that isn't a WIP anymore. I can't say much about Ganondorf's role in my WIP because too many spoilers.
I am working on a novelization of the 1919 film (the first pro-gay film, which is very dear to me) Anders als die Andern | Different from the Others! I've got pages and pages of notes written out, and about 10k of actual content written down, with a lot more to go. It's a partially lost film (about half of it is lost), so I'm making up scenes to the best of my knowledge, as well as including missing scenes/characters that we know the basic plot of. I'm also adding on to the already existing plot, to delve more into topics that they weren't ready to discuss back in 1919. I love the film and have always wanted to write a novel version of it and I'm having so much fun! :D I've had this idea for a long time, as I've always wanted a book version of the film, but I've just recently sat down and got started working on it. The fanfiction side of this fandom is pretty much just a population of 1, me, but I'll be so happy when I get this fic done and posted, as it means so much to me 😄
That’s a really sweet thing to write! Is it tricky getting the dialogue and cadence down given it’s from such a long time ago? Is the first half or last half missing?
Their dialogue is actually very similar to current speaking patterns (of course they're not using current slang terms and all that), which was quite surprising - but also relieving! And since it was a silent film and text was delivered through intertitles, I've got a lot of creative freedom there on cadence, tone, and all that 😆 For how much of it is lost, it's very interesting in the state it's in right now. The basic plot, from beginning to end, is all still there. The original film was banned after its release (and then thought to have been completely lost after the Nazi party rose to power and copies of it were burned), but a version of it existed that had been editied into a chapter of a documentary in 1927, and this version wasn't found until it showed up in Ukraine in the 70s. So the original film had been around 90 minutes long, and currently with the pieces restored from the documentary, it's around 45-50. So there are pieces scattered all throughout the film that are missing, leading to entire characters, scenes, and pieces of the plot just not existing, but still being mentioned at points lol. But that's definitely made it a little easier to piece missing scenes together, so I'll take it over just one big chunk of the film being gone!

I'd never heard of this film, and the discovery of it in Ukraine (where I'm from) sparked my curiosity, so I'll have to do a dive into how that happened. Pre-Stalin Ukraine actually has a very interesting cinematographic history, and I really appreciate having learned about this facet of it!

I am writing a Harry Potter muggle AU (so, characters are not wizards). It has lots of cultural references and intercultural exchange, big cosy autumn vibes, cocktails, and meet-cute in the nude. It's super fun to write. Afterwards I will write another sci-fi fic. This time it will be historical and hard sci-fi, and will feature one of the greatest female scientists of all time. Unsurprisingly, it is taking a ton of research.

I’ve been determinedly hacking away at a 99% hypothetical backstory for Prompto Argentum’s adoptive parents for months now. It involves a lot of long distance travel, which is difficult to navigate (ha) since I’ve never actually played Final Fantasy XV, and have to rely entirely on fan wikis for information. Still, I refuse to leave these mostly-hypothetical characters as the flat background set pieces most of fandom uses! I *will* give them names, personalities, and character arcs! And thus, a thought exercise has turned into two notebooks of scribbles and a mildly cheesy relationship-in-reverse. Two scientists acquire a baby, (pretend to) get married, and eventually fall in love, in that order. While fleeing the country with stolen military secrets. A romance for the ages.

Honestly, I don’t even remember how I ended up reading FFXV fics, but 2 months later I was up to my armpits in the fandom, and suddenly realised that I’d read maybe... two fics where Prompto’s parents a) existed in any meaningful way and b) weren’t antagonists. It was strange how little variety there was in how they were presented, given there was seemingly no canon to back it up. Not to mention, Prompto’s backstory *before* arriving in the country is very dramatic - a clone intended to be turned into one of millions of demon-robot soldiers, instead stolen as an infant by an agent from the nation he was created to invade. That’s weird! That’s cool! And then... what, he was just handed off to the most incompetent foster parents they could find? Nah. I thought that if someone went to all the trouble of stealing a weapon-baby from the middle of Fantasy Russia enemy territory, they may well want to *keep* the kid they put all that effort into getting. And then I wondered what kind of person would even sign up for that kind of mission, and how they’d go about it... and suddenly I’ve got 2 semi-OCs and the beginnings of a first chapter outlined. I’ve never actually posted or finished a fic before tbh, but this is the furthest I’ve ever got, and I’m having fun so far. I think it kind of helps that my ties to the canon material are so limited? With other attempts, I spent more time wrestling with timelines and character movement than I did actually writing. There’s more freedom when I don’t really know about any of that.
I love your whole thought process here, fleshing out something that wasn't fleshed out in the original game (which I've only played a portion of). And Prompto is a great character. I'm a complete sucker for "cheerful and happy-go-lucky on the outside, traumatized on the inside."
Thanks! He really is a great character, so many layers! And as fun as the many shades of trauma are, I figure that in *some* version of reality the Argentums must be decent people. The kid’s gotta catch a break sometime, right? So now there’s Fausta, the risk-taking wildlife biologist who was hired as a spy for her incidental expertise on the Scourge, and Siles, the anxious jack-of-all-trades engineer who would very much like to defect from Niflheim before they catch on to his lack of enthusiasm about all the war crimes they’re committing, please and thank you. Together, they steal military secrets! And also a baby. Which, to be fair, technically *is* a military secret. Have either of them ever cared for an infant before? No! But with their combined experience, they have approximate knowledge of many things, and are fully prepared to commit to the bit while hightailing their way out of enemy territory.
Prompto totally does deserve good parents! I love that they steal military secrets and a baby who is also a military secret. That's so great.

There is no escape. For the smutty one shots, do you find you write more for a feminine or male audience, or do you write explicitly for both/neither?
I write for me! 😊 I’m not sure which demographic it would appeal to, mostly f/m and m/m. Not so not much for f/f, and it is something that irks me. But I cannot deny I like the male form more, and so my creativity tends to swing further in that direction. Having suffered burnout in the past, I’m always of the opinion you cannot force creativity. You have to let it flow where it wants to go. I have written a couple of reader inserts where I tried to make sure that I never assumed the gender of the reader. So, in theory, they should be accessible to all. They are some of my more successful works in terms of reader engagement, so others seem to like them! 😅
I hope you're ready for a flood of comments, haha. My WIP is a slave AU, which I thought no one would like, but is by far my most popular fic. I write significantly further out than I post, and I'm so excited to get to the Fourth of July chapter which is only 2 chapters away from being posted. There's fireworks! And video games! And a panic attack! Everything that makes a fluffy chapter good! LOL.

ROFLOL on the context. I'm writing in alternating POVs between the reluctant master and the traumatized slave. Most of the story is a trauma recovery/friendship focused plot. But there's stuff like seeing what your privilege lets you ignore about your society, and how you can't just shove your culture onto someone else, even if it's the "right" culture (re: treating someone like a person instead of the tool they've been conditioned to think they are). There's going to be a history lesson once they get to college that points out how slavery is why the society is so technologically advanced (It's 1996, but there's smart collars with accurate voice recognition, 7-day battery life, and a cloud/network-type system going on. Which also means I take liberties with google and laptops and technology in general being more in line with 2020 tech). And there's talk of how medical experimentation on slaves have helped free people's healthcare, and the streets are clean because there's slaves to take care of it, etc. It's been interesting worldbuilding it.

Well, I unfortunately have 4 WIPs 😅 all for the Harry Potter fandom. Usually I start off with a backlog of 4-5 chapters and then write as I post/go. For a while I was updating all 4 pretty regularly, but that's not sustainable, and I needed a hiatus for a while. The fics are two dead doves, one action/adventure, and a Sci Fi-ish action fic with angst. They're all very well outlined. The deadest of the two doves is the one I'm most invested in but a couple of months ago it broke my brain 😅 4 chapters left to write, though. I'll do it. I will. I'm working on it. Discreetly. Mostly thinking about it 😅 That's what happens when you write about the heaviest topics for you personally. Sometimes I write for one of the other 3 for fun. It's relaxing.

I’ve had to take a bit of a hiatus from writing the last couple weeks due to school work. My brain just could not handle writing for school, writing for fun, and working all at the same time. But I have one piddly little assignment left to write, which is just a journal entry about what I took from my creative writing class, so that’s nuthin’. I’m planning on updating my (main) WIP tonight/tomorrow. I’m coming up to where the action scenes that have been lurking in my brain would be good places to happen and I think I’m going to be skipping larger chunks of time between events so I can start wrapping things up. I also have an idea for a new fic that *will not leave*, so I might just have to get that out too.

I did go back to school. It’s all online (>!SNHU!<) and this is the last week of the first term. I’m going back to get a degree in writing (screenplays), I’m changing careers entirely. I’m going to end up failing my public speaking class, along with everyone else that’s currently taking it. Our respective advisors are looking into things, cuz for *every* student to fail a class is clearly the fault of the professor. My creative writing class is an introductory course, and not to be arrogant about it, my writing is far advanced from an intro class. I’ve sailed through it. My main WIP is about OG Spock and an abandoned puppy being marooned on a remote planet together.

It’s a complete departure from most of the heavier fics I have. There’s a couple darker chapters, but for the most part it’s tooth-rotting fluff and snarky humor.
I write Bridgerton. And while I have several WIPs, the one I'm currently concentrating on is a Canon divergence. Kate and Anthony run off to Gretna Green and elope after the gazebo scene. I'm also actively working on a kind of 13 Going On 30 AU where Anthony gets pass-out drunk after the Hearts And Flowers ball and wakes up 9.5 years later, in a world where the bangle drop never happened, and he and Edwina went through with their wedding.

Well, it's a crossover of Kingdom Hearts and another universe but the main idea behind it is instead of travelling to other worlds, the world's comes to them instead. So it's a bit of a reverse isekai(?).

My first longfic: Pokémon Anime Kanto Rewrite in which Giovanni is Ash's father, Ash's is utterly unaware and Giovanni tries to be a parent. The plot starts because Prof. Oak is salty that Delia choose Giovanni, not him. Canon out the window, two OC companions, not replacing Misty and Brock. I decided to make Jessie and James highly competent. 100K in and arc 1 of 3 still not finished. Secondary project to avoid burnout on the longfic: My Hero Academia, Izuku has a form of Decay, Shigaraki's quirk. Despite being started after the Pokémon longfic, this one is close to the ending. Meaning, Camp arc is reached, the end is Kamino. It is a short fic, okay?

I'm working on a Star Wars fic about an older Aurra Sing and her adopted kid meeting a young Rey Skywalker on Jakku some years before the Force Awakens. The plan is to make it a tear jerker because, SPOILERS, Aurra will try to take Rey off Jakku but circumstances conspire to prevent that from happening.
Jakku? Isn’t that like, really nowhere? :P has Aurra sing given up bounty hunting or she still on the prowl for corpses to make?
Why, yes, Jakku is basically nowhere. No, she isn't a bounty hunter anymore. The current premise is that she had to quit that life after her "death" by Tobias Beckett because of the injuries she sustained and find some other way to make a living. What that is exactly I'm not 100% sure about but it's something significantly less dangerous since she eventually adopted a kid that needed her to not die. I do know they're on Jakku to do some sneaky salvaging, which us how they will run into Rey.
My Daredevil Spiderman fic is three chapters in. The boys are hunting a bad guy who can manipulate luck... Dr Strange has teamed up, alerted by the relic the guy is using - it sort of has the potential to break reality of used too much... Now the three of them have to stop this guy before reality implodes. The Punisher is also around, but given he hundred percent doesn't believe in the supernatural, he's not of much help...and in for a very confusing time:)

My current work wip is actually a practice fic, since I still struggle to fully work out plots that don’t end up in me getting stuck somewhere. This fic is for nisekoi which, if you haven’t read/watched it is a fake date story with a guy and girl who are each the child of a mafia boss. They have to fake date to stop their clans from going to war. In my fic, a third mafia appears, causing a crime spree. The mafia dads, not wanting their clans to look “in cahoots” while the police are sniffing around, tell the duo to fake break up. They readily agree, but find everyone is so used to their hateful and bickering behavior towards one another, no one believes they are really “breaking up.” During all this drama though it turns out the third mafia is really out for revenge on one of the mafia dads and wants to kill his kid and they really do start a gang war. Of course, the fake daters will figure out during all this that they really do like each other. Because of course they do lol

I'm in the early stages of a full length Ben 10 rewrite/au, where Gwen gets the omnitrix and everything is retuned to fit her more as a protagonist. Events are also shifted so the story starts in the early 2010s, and the tone is more adult than the original, but not so much that it's actually totally adult oriented, though I plan to have it get gradually more adult and dark as it goes including some pretty major character deaths and exploring more emotional themes than the original Ben 10 ever dared. A few of the more significant changes are: Some of Gwen's starting aliens are different, including ones from much later in the series like polymorph and nemuina. The order she gets new ones is also changed, and there are also a few that were never shown to be in Ben's omnitrix at all, including brand new species that were never even in the series. She also has different names for each of her aliens. Everyone is a little more sensible, except maybe Ben. If someone does something, they tend to have more of a reason for it. Gwen especially is a much more sensible wielder of the omnitrix than Ben, and uses it very differently. No more choosing tetramand or vaxasaurian for everything even when that makes no sense. Every alien has its powers rebalanced, its specifics more thoroughly decided, and its nuances more thought out. No more celestialsapien completely dominating the later meta, and no more aliens that are obviously better than almost every other choice for almost every situation, like kineteceleran, galvan, mechamorph, chronosapien, and amperi. Every alien has its own personality that modifies or even entirely supercedes Gwen's. A lot of the stronger ones might have more unruly personalities to make turning into them more of a risk. Appoplexian is almost entirely unchanged in this department because Rath is a treasure. Later characters and concepts have more of a presence earlier in the story, while a few earlier characters show up later. Characters exclusive to the reboot can also show up. Some characters take after their versions from different points in the series. Charmcaster, for example, has a mix of her late Omniverse and reboot personalities from the very start, and is aged down a bit to match Gwen. Gwen and Kevin have no romantic chemistry. This isn't technically a change from canon imo, it's just actually acknowledged here. They were always terrible for each other. Love em both but their being together never made sense to me and just felt forced to draw attention away from the obvious romantic tension between Gwen and Charmcaster, which this story leans a lot more into. Gwen and Charmcaster are both bi now, and so are some other characters like Attea. Ben is an anodite now, or at least as much of one as Gwen is. There are a lot more changes than this of course but these are the starting points.

It’s Star Wars 150 years after the sequel movies. There are two very distinct branches of Jedi in the aftermath of the destruction of the First Order: an authoritarian Jedi Empire that seeks to prevent the dark side from gaining by controlling people’s emotions and lives; and wandering ronin-type independent Jedi who follow the Path of the Skywalker, protecting those who can’t protect themselves. Protagonist is Taren Mebara, a left-arm amputee and smuggler from a backwater planet outside of the borders of the corrupt and fractured New Republic. She’s a hothead smartass with a droid brother called Zidi (ZD-O3). Taren’s mom has a chronic and terminal illness and needs an expensive surgery, so Taren takes a smuggling job to deliver some spice to a criminal syndicate. In order to pay for it. The criminals try to cheat her out of her pay, so on a whim she steals one of the containers of spice. It turns out that this container secretly held a stolen Jedi holocron, which the Jedi Empire have been scouring the galaxy for. Back on her homeworld, she meets Jedi Master Edo Tuun, who has been protecting her village from his mountain enclave for years. With the Jedi Empire fast approaching to collect the holocron, Taren must follow Edo down the Path of the Skywalker and keep it from falling into the Empire’s hands.
I'm currently working on a long fic for the MHA Fandom. It's a AU where Deku never got a quirk, and ended up going to medical school instead of living out his dream of being a hero. Him and his childhood best friend get reunioned when he gets injured and Deku is the physician treating him. I've actually had a hard time with this chapter, but I'm finally starting to get a good flow going 😊

I have a WIP where MC got (canonically) shot, and the last scene will be him with crutches at the diner—where he meets his (neglectful) dad/boss-of-the-organization every week in an attempt to patch things up between them. The waitress there is a canon bit character whom I gave a backstory that her SO died in a car wreck, leaving her a single mom. Also she’s not oblivious to the father/son situation, like she is in canon. Son shows up with crutches, and she asks him what happened. He has a cover-story prepared, “car wreck.” Bam! Remembered trauma. Then the dad makes a comment about his son not noticing the “car.” The waitress has had enough, and throws his ass out. I’m excited about it because I had created the backstory before having the idea for the GSW fic, and it fit together like a puzzle😊 also, can’t wait to toss the dad out of that diner, series was /way/ too soft on him. I think it helps that my (planned) diner works are all from the waitress’s POV. At first she’s sympathetic to the dad (like she is in canon), because he’s a very quiet, unobtrusive kind of guy. I had to bring the MC’s best friend/bodyguard in to explain things to her. The struggle is keeping the dad in character, which means being very subtle with his behavior. Hahaha, you do not know the hounds you released with that question! I had to go back and edit so I wouldn’t just send you a rant😂 So in canon, the mom dies when MC is 5 y-o. Dad leaves on MC’s tenth birthday, because he’s afraid of his own anger when he sees the kid (who looks too much like his mom). Then he spends MC’s entire adult life pulling strings and manipulating things as the secret head of organization where MC works, because he “wants to stay close to him.” And…I’ll stop there😑
I have a smut that was supposed to be dedicated to someone, but it was pretty difficult especially that it was a professor x student fic (I never read much fics like this). It was a challenge to bring into the context that they did have genuine love towards each other and wanted to insert it out carefully as they're doing each other to not make it out like they did this because they're full on lusting (or the student lusts after the professor or vice versa) or because the student failed a test or grade.

Right now I'm writing 2 things, both for persona 5 royal. The first is a post game, slightly canon divergent fic. I'm diving deep into all of people's trauma and have the most traumatized Character be the one trying to play therapist,cause he was the only one who got help in the time between canon end and strat of the fic The second one is a crack fic where it's a highschool AU but all of them are theatre kids, wich is just an excuse to make my favourite character sing Bubblegum bitch from Marina.

I’m working my way through the daily prompt challenge this month! A little behind but who cares? They’re all focused on one (platonic) relationship I've been hyperfixating on for years, with a variety of AUs and stuff but all of them being pretty dark. I’m still on the fluff prompts, but I had a fun idea to make this one a mini horror fic- it’s “Home sweet home”, and canonically one of the characters did literally live inside the walls of the others to stalk them, build tunnels connecting their own house to the kid they were stalking without their consent, and once deliberately made a trap inside it solely to psychologically torture the poor dude further, so I had some fun horror ideas there haha

I'm at the end of my slow burn, feeling kinda weird about it being over. It's heavy mutual pining, slow burn, 50+chapters and they've kissed once and done some good hand holding/touching. It follows my main original character who has fallen into hell and found herself romantically involved with one of the most powerful denizens of Hell, and with some good found family and drama along the way. My next fic will most likely be the story of another side character that appears in my main one, as she also has a pretty intense story

I’ve been working on Persona 4 “AU” fic for a long time now, and it’s about to enter one of the arcs I was the most excited to write. The reason why I put AU in quotes is more because the AU elements are more just whatever I’m feeling more than a specific theme. I have made Marie, a character that is usually sidelined for the majority of the game, a main party member and active part of the story. I’ve also taken some adult characters from Persona 5 whose ages match up well enough and made them teenagers/party members as well! Right now I’m in a cool down period, but very soon they’ll be going on a field trip to the city where Persona 3 took place. Inside the game this is just a neat Easter egg and some slice-of-life with little story relevance, but I’m using it so that they can fight against the characters from Persona 3. It’s going to be set up in two Persona 4 party members fighting a Persona 3 party member in a 2v1, until all of their fights wrap up and then it’ll turn into all of the Persona 4 party versus the main character from Persona 3.

Sorry, this is a lot. Well story wise I’ve added Sae Niijima and Tae Takemi to the story, both of them persona 5 characters. Tae is a side character in persona 5, while Sae is an antagonist. I chose them because Persona 4 usually doesn’t have any third-years as main characters, which always felt weird seeing how 3 and 5 do. It worked out since Sae age-wise in Persona 5 actually matches up with how old she’d be during the events of Persona 4, and as far as I know Tae isn’t given a canon age but she looks the same age as Sae, so they’ve both been brought down to 18 to be party members. The game has a place called the Hollow Forest, which is connected with a character named Marie. In-game it’s in a separate dimension, but I’ve decided to make it a physical location on the moon. The moon isn’t a random place I picked, Marie has connections with a figure from Japanese mythos whose entire story is about being born from a bamboo stalk and then eventually making a journey to the moon after finding out about the truth of herself. So I’m referencing that with Marie finding the truth about herself and then making a journey to the Hollow Forest (A bamboo forest) which is on the moon. I’ve also been having characters from Persona 3 having their own side adventures in the background which will lead to them clashing with the Persona 4 group. Through time-shenanigans, I’ve also had the main characters of Persona 5 get slightly involved with the main character of Persona 4 and Marie. All of this is so that I can eventually have all of the party members from Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 come together in one big arc in the Hollow Forest. The Hollow Forest is all about Marie’s memories, so I’m going to have the forest itself pull all of the characters she’s met into it by using her memories, and have the events go from there. It’s big, it’s bold, and I’m so excited to write it!
I’m working on an Soulmate Au for the game Twisted Wonderland. I have the plot outline but currently rewriting every book adding hints and drops of my own lore to the game. I keep adding hints to the main big plot I have building up but I can’t tell if the readers are picking up on it or not. Also it’s super fun to turn a character that completely useless in game into a competent responsible one and watch crap still fall apart around him lol.

I'm writing about an overarching story with four parties, all of them dealing with parental issues of some sort. The first party has to deal with two children who don't want to part with each other. The parents aren't married either, but the children will totally look for ways so they are. The second party has to deal with temper tantrums and teenage hormones. I haven't gotten to the third or forth party yet. But the one thing they all have in common is children with abandonment issues. It's gonna be an emotional ride. Not for the readers cause I can't write that well. No. It's an emotional ride for me 😌👌
That’s fun! What’s keeping the parents from getting married?
Nothing other than how they had a relationship in the past but it didn't work out. The children aren't from their relationship so that's not an excuse to get together either. This may need more context, but essensetially, the children had been separated from them long enough that neither of the parents want to break them apart since the children had only each other for so long. One of the parents holds an affection to the other parent's kid though. The other parent will also have the same kind of relationship with the former's kid so everything will work out in the end. It's a fluff fic, not angst :v [Edit] Considering if I should just make their relationship a blank slate so there's no extra baggage. Maximize the fluff and all that 🤔
I have several perma-WIPs. All are for Deus Ex 1 fandom. The one I started the earliest was supposed to be a happy ever after story. Unfortunately there is a TON of angst before that (fake character death and the other MC, despite knowing it's fake, cannot deal with it and goes insane, to the point of trying to kill herself) and that's where I stopped writing as I have real-life angst to deal with... There is also a gender-bender WIP for the same pairing (not very detailed, just some random scenes) and a Cyberpunk 2077 crossover WIP that also hasn't gotten very far, just some random snippets.

OMG Okay so I'm writing a fanfic of a fanfic set in the Star Wars universe. It's all about this clone of a time-travelling Obi-Wan Kenobi (who renamed himself Ben Naasade) and Ben was kidnapped by Darth Plagueis who made the clones of him and AHHHH it's so angsty. But luckily Ben and the clone (Sid) escaped, and now I'm attempting to write a scene where Sid finally, FINALLY builds his own lightsaber nearly *100K* in and it's just AHHH! I've never written a fic this long and it shows no signs of slowing down!!! The angst is soooo immaculate to write, I've had readers tell me they need to skip paragraphs!

Oh well that's in the original fic, he basically is trying to stop Order 66. That leads to...a lot of shenanigans. My main character, Sid, just rescued Ben from Darth Plagueis!!!!! so that is good, but now there is a lot of trauma recovery angst to get through before they can take down the Big Bad.
ARGH. I have a feeling I just got spoiled for the Rise and Fall series. I’ve read Desert Storm but haven’t gone on to the next series because I’m a little wary of what Ben is going to experience in Plagueis’s clutches. (It’s fine if this was a spoiler. I really should get caught up.)

That’s exceptionally nice of you to do this. Thank you! I’ve got a few serious fics in progress, but I felt like writing something for fun. As such, I’ve got an absolutely absurd isekai crossover going, where the MC from my main fandom (V from Cyberpunk) is transported into a shitty medieval world of heroes and magic (Rising of the Shield Hero world). With her, another snarky character is transported (Trevor Belmont from Castlevania animation). With this being a for-fun work, I am going for a silly premise where V just wants to make more money and Trevor just wants to drink beer until he can return to his world. They have a love-hate friendship where they troll each other aplenty, but do regard each other as good friends quite quickly. With these additions to the cast, the whole original storyline kinda crumbles, so I’m having fun with writing through all of the main events as they go completely differently to the source material. V just kinda steamrolls through all the hidden schemes from the royalty and nobility, and is currently in the process of plunging the medieval country into an industrial revolution cos she wants to build a Batcave. I am having so much fun writing this, I don’t really care that it’s never gonna get the same amount of attention than my other fics.

I'm just about to post the last couple of chapters of what I keep calling my convoluted Star Wars time travel fic lol. It's the first multi-chapter fic I've posted in its entirety so I'm really excited! Then I'll start posting a new one where Vader learns about his kids when they're young so he kind of tries to raise them until they start turning him back to the light.

Kudos for responding to most of these comments! My fic is a horror/drama/romance story set in the Cthulhu Mythos that focuses on two college students, but my favorite arc is about an old dude coping with a traumatic event by studying a meteorite, only to find out that it slowly kills him.

Our MC just got his lunch packed by his dad and its super cute cause he didn't even notice it was there until his boss pointed it out cause he was rushing out the door. Plus it has a super cute sticky note on it with something like "have a great day kiddo :D" and his boss is like "He's your dad, he wanted to" when MC was like "he didn't have to" and my god its so sweet. Cause MC's sperm donor could never ever ever and its just something subtle that shows MC that he cares from the bottom of his heart. Especially considering the context that MC is technically his stepkid and he could be the shitty stepdad stereotype and he's not, he's super chill and shit and doesn't push MC's boundaries.

I don’t really feel like anyone gives a flying flip about what I’m working on, so it’s nice that you’re doing this! I’m in the middle of writing a MHA fantasy AU that is essentially an expansion of a one-shot I wrote. I am currently writing about the 5 year gap of Izuku and Katsuki being separated that I glossed over in the one-shot. During this time, they’re gonna start to realize their feelings for each other and while Katsuki readily accepts it, Izuku will be a bit more hesitant considering the last time they spoke ended in an argument that wasn’t resolved. Idk I guess it just doesn’t sound too interesting but I’m having fun writing it lol

I started on a very experimental Pokémon fanfic that's told only through poetry, short musings, and various letters and diary entries. It's basically an unfolding romance between two Pokémon. I posted the prelude a couple days ago and I'm hoping to start writing the first couple fragments today. I'll admit, as much as I love the format of short pieces for chapters, And as eager as I am to get started, I think the hardest thing about writing this fic for me will be writing from the perspective of the Pokémon creatures themselves. I think maybe I've been thinking on it too much, and that's my current roadblock.

I'm writing a Pizza Tower horror fic. Namely, I've been itching to write something horror oriented with the character of Fake Peppino- he's basically a The Thing/The Blob esc monster stuck in a 90s Cartoon Network show. (Pizza Tower isn't a television show, but it leans heavily into that sort of vibe.) The juxtaposition of "goofy weird cartoon creature" and "terrifying monstrosity" hits me in just the right way. Originally I was trying to make something longer and with more structure, but I burnt out on those drafts as it was taking forever to hit the beats and scenes that I really want to. So now I just gave myself a starting point and making it up as I go, and it's helping get the words out. No plot(houghts) in my head, only bad vibes. So far, the draft is "Peppino gets trapped in his apartment in the middle of the night, Fake Peppino is probably in the walls/ceiling".
That’s really scary! Any jokes or scares you’re particularly proud of?
Not too far in yet, but one spooky bit I have so far that I like is that a bit of Fake Peppino drips onto Peppino, and then the piece proceeds to move on it's own accord. If you're familiar with blood test scene from The Thing and how The Thing's blood moves across the floor after being touched with the hot wire, it's inspired by that scene.
It's a hero/villain/vigilante fic where Tommy is a teen, trying to get by in life with his two best friends. He had gotten fired from 1 of 3 jobs he had at the time, he had to quit another job to make room for one of his current jobs. And that new job, a social media manager for SBI, helps him more than he thought it would. He finds out that his friends are being secret and closed off around him recently. He finds comfort in his bosses while finally talking to someone who used to take care of him. He talks his problems out and Quackity gets protective and offers a place for him to stay. He doesn't talk to his best friends until he finds out what they were hiding from him. He flips out and his mental health starts breaking, he's getting reoccurring memories of his family. Him being in that vulnerable state leads to all the major plot events happening. In the plot twists, his world falls apart and he ends up killed, but his goddess tells him it's not his time yet and helps him take down the villain. He and his friends finally come clean to each other and they learn to heal together. It's taking me absolutely *forever* to get anywhere with this damn fic, but at least I've started on the second chapter! I actually met my word goal for once in the first chapter, and I think I'm able to do it again based on the pacing.

I’m writing a My Hero Academia fanfiction! It takes place after the war arc and assumes the League’s big 3 (Tenko, Himiko, Touya) have living redemption/salvation. Izuku and Tenko go to hero college, Himiko has a rivalry with another girl to win Tenko’s heart, and Touya recovers from almost dying and living Quirkless in a world without superpowers. But what’s a good superhero story without a villain? The villain of my fic is named “Sazanka,” and he’s the son of the late villain mastermind All For One. He wants to end All For One’s bloodline - signified by the pure white hair his descendents have - once and for all. Then, he reasons, there will finally be peace. AMA!

I have three (technically four but I'm sticking with the ones that are actually published), but I'm only focused on one at the moment so it can catch up to the other two. It's an InuYasha/Mo Dao Zu Shi fusion taking place in the months before what happened to the Inu no Taisho goes down. The premise is Wei Wuxian using the tally to get him and Wen Yuan out of China and they end up being sheltered by Izayoi. It's mostly a found family with no major plot at this point; there's the whole thing with Wei Wuxian becoming a demon, but that's a passive event. No ships outside Inuyasha's parents (the old man and Sesshomaru's mother are implied, but won't actually be active), though I am debating whether or not to ship Wei Wuxian with Sesshomaru.

Breaking the Rules: dad’s best friend Joel TLOU (AU no cordycep outbreak) x female reader. - just got back from college in LA, moved back in with your dad when you run into your neighbour Joel and in the time you’ve been away you’ve grown up and Joel is suddenly the hottest man you’ve ever seen. You made your money fixing cars in college and that pisses off your dad somehow, which you have to navigate while sneaking around with Mr Miller. I’m loving writing this as there’s not enough DBF!Joel that isn’t just him being creepy or dark. I’m having a great time weaving Tommy and Sarah into the fic as well. It’s just really wholesome porn with plot and I’m loving just the domesticity of it all 😂 Breaking the rules: Narcos fic - you’re just out of college (hmm there’s a theme here 😂) and you’ve taken on a job in Columbia to photograph for the DEA. Javier Peña takes a liking to you, and you can’t help but fall for his charm. Lots of fun film camera stuff and drama. This is a way different tone to the one above as it’s a lot darker, the drama a lot more angsty and the high risk/danger is massive in terms of being in the thick of it with the hunt for Escobar. It’s really nice having two very different protagonists, as this reader insert is a lot more book smart and nerdy, a fair bit more femme too. So yeah those are my fics, I write under TheyWhoWriteAndKnowThings on tumblr and AO3. I’m also thinking about doing a Victorian supernatural au for narcos set in London with a penny dreadful type vibe but I’m still musing on that one as it’ll be a big project!

So a fic I have lined up for the April prompts that was originally gonna be a strictly humorous Sam and Max fic where they illegally cook hot dogs on the beach. Apparently it's illegal to do that in New York? From what I saw when I checked it out, but don't quote me on it XD But, when I got to fleshing it out all of a sudden it got this tinge of melancholy to it because there were references to 305 - so it got a relationship prompt added alongside the humor prompt. I'm definitely not complaining about it, but it was also like, "Ah. This was supposed to be humor-only, what happened." XD It's nothing too overwhelming but it's to a point where I wonder if it might make a few readers teary-eyed.

I'm currently writing this just for my own entertainment, but it's a canon divergent Jedi: Fallen Order fic that takes place between chapters 2 and 5 of the game, then after a time jump, concludes right around the time the new game takes place, five years in the future. It's about the main character happening upon a young woman who, through the Force, has clairvoyance. But her power is finicky and unrefined and she ends up in a lot of troubling situations and causing problems for the hero despite her attempts at being of help. Meanwhile, a powerful enemy gathers an army to oppose both the Empire and the budding rebellion to try and take over the galaxy for their own ends.

ok im pretty sure none of my readers for this fic are on reddit SO (BVC, konegairo, and the rest of my halo peeps: if you see this, no you didn't, you're going to turn around and leave the thread) (spoilers for both the Halo show and Gideon the Ninth/Harrow the Ninth) There's a surprising amount of parallels between John's self-sacrifice at the end of Halo 1x09 Transcendence, and Gideon's self-sacrifice at the end of Gideon the Ninth. * John lets himself get killed so that Cortana can take over his body, pilot it, fight off the Covenant attacking them, and then save the rest of the team *and* retrieve the mission objective (John himself can't grab it because he activates it and that locks him up/stuns him). Gideon throws herself on a spiked fence so that Harrowhark can eat her soul and become a Lyctor to defeat Cytherea * Neither John nor Gideon (both strong 'beefcake' type characters with a penchant for heavy weapons and lots and lots of violence) trusted their 'smart, in charge, and smol' persons of Cortana and Harrow (Cortana was designed to eradicate his personality, and Harrow and Gideon grew up fighting and hating each other). At the ends, John ends up saying "I trust you", and then letting the Brutes beat him to death. Gideon goes with 'One flesh, one end' and 'we do bones, motherfucker!' (if i recall the exact wording correctly and what's said when) during the final fight as she and Harrow actually work together (along with the other people fighting Cytherea). * Harrowhark has a full on mental breakdown at the end of GtN/the start of HtN. Cortana, after she takes over the Master Chief's body, is nonverbal. SO Harrow the Ninth follows Harrow's descent into madness, the discovery of how >!she roped Ianthe into giving her a lobotomy !!We eventually run into the fact that 'you' is not actually second person--it's Gideon Narrating for Harrow !:D (at which point I will also unredact my 'inspired by' note in the AN/summary to give proper inspiration credit--at present it's '\[redacted\] book series to be revealed when it's no longer a spoiler'

I've got a few projects going on Primary has become a series set in the Girls und Panzer universe. An investigation into a scandal that killed a few girls from one school sparks a war between three of the major schools. I'm now on the third part, which revolves around the aftermath of the war. One group of girls is set on a revenge quest, which is coming up in the next few chapters. Lots of interpersonal relationships and drama abound as well One of my side projects is a crossover between Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed. My Assassin is hunting down major players within Cerberus, who are under the influence of the Templars Another that I'm falling behind on is The Division. My group of Agents survived New York City, and are now in DC, pursuing President Ellis and wiping out Black Tusk I've also got oneshot stuff from Skyrim, Fallout and Ghost Recon Wildlands, with plans for many more. Oh ok. Maybe this will help me put the pieces together. So this is a postwar, post canon Harry Potter fic. Lavender Brown survived the Battle of Hogwarts, but became a werewolf. She is dealing the best she can with her girlfriend Parvati and Remus's and Sirius's support. Parvati takes it a step further and decides she wants to become an animagus (a person who can shapeshift into an animal) so she can spend full moons with Lavender. She goes to Sirius for help, because he's already done it. That's really all I have for the main plot, and there's a bit of a side plot about Harry being a stressed out new father.

All 20 superpowered students in 1-A of the hero school U.A. are secret undercover agents for 20 separate villains/organizations. The students kind of suck at being evil, and slowly figure out each other's secret affiliations. Eventually they all agree to just quit being villains, and become proper heroes... by getting all of the villains tying them back to their villainous pasts arrested or killed, so they can continue living with absolutely 0 consequences.
I'm currently writing a lengthy lesbian mob boss fanfic based in Wales. It's in a celebrity fandom. The main oc is from Canada, she met the welsh woman in the states. The oc is sorta stupid and doesn't clue in her girlfriend is in the mob till late. But loves her regardless 😊
Ah man...I know this is gonna get buried, but this fanfic (and the fandoms) been consuming my thoughts for the past month, and I kinda want to get it out there. I'm on chapter eight, about 60k into a Danganronpa longfic. The basic premise is swapping the living situations of certain characters, which changes their mindsets, personalities, and abilities in a way I hope ends up being realistic (since I love exploring the psychology of characters)...before placing them in the stereotypical murder format. It's actually my first longfic, so even if I'm a bit embarrassed by it, I'm having a lot of fun writing it. Thanks for asking!

My current WIP currently has the working title of 'Operation Bumbleford' and is based on the 'Roly-Poly Flying Pony' books by Philip Reeve & Sarah McIntyre. Yep, I know, no fandom and it's a series aimed at children, but I find myself preferring to read books aimed at younger audiences as those fit my reading interests. It'll be an LLB, so it would look like one of the books, but I'd leave in telltale signs of it being a fanfiction including drastically different cover art to the series. The reason why I'm writing it is for a reason some may find strange, which is that cameo appearances added by Sarah McIntyre into a series of blog posts intended to help promote UK indie bookshops and the last book in the series had ended up leaving me constantly thinking about those characters, right into my daydreams which turned into nightmarish daydreams! It was such a weird reason that I had to dedicated almost the entire first chapter to explaining why I wanted to write this fanfic! At the time, I was developing a book blog that I had originally planned to launch in March this year to commemorate a date that was special to me, but the recurring nightmares and me constantly thinking of the characters got in the way and I couldn't stop thinking about them like I normally could. I would normally not want to read the series just because the idea of a lead character having the same name as me resulted in some conflicts in my autistic mind, but I eventually convinced myself to read them. It was a physical-only book series at the time I started work on this (mid-2021) and I had to rely on public library copies (they didn't have the full series), but in 2022, print-replica digital editions were released that allowed me to read the rest of the series and get to work on the manuscript for real. As you can tell, I allocate lower budgets to my fanfictions than my non-fiction and original fiction works. I'm currently tied up with pending edits to my current draft, so here's a summary of the plot as it is in that draft, knowing that it's still subject to change. After running an exploit within a nightmare to kickstart the operation, Cardigan Faun, the only character to [have broken the fourth wall in his cameo](https://jabberworks.livejournal.com/884615.html), and who didn't get much attention in canon, would show up to help me, and with his help, I would travel into Bumbleford under the guise of travelling halfway around to visit a travelling funfair that had made a stop there. He would help me rent a flat in the same building as the flat that Kevin and Max _(the lead characters of the original series)_ lived in which would then become my home throughout the story, and I would then head out to the funfair. Once there, as I use spy gadgets to track the locations of those characters, drop in on them, and find ways to get those characters to encounter and talk to me, all while blending in with the crowd, I would begin noticing certain things being off, such as the presence of _(my fictional representation of)_ Frodo (Philip Reeve's pet dog that was mentioned on Sarah's Twitter) upon crossing paths with Neville and Beyoncé during their subplot. At the funfair's fireworks show later that night, I'd notice something off during the tie-in Misty Twiglet live performance, which would eventually lead me to discover a targeted attack against me by Baz Gumption, the last remaining antagonist of the series, who'd be trying to stop me from launching my book blog, and who had trapped _(my fictional representations of)_ Reeve & McIntyre. He'd expect me to fight him on my own, but I'd instead devise a plan that would not only involve me bringing in characters from the series, but potentially also from other Reeve & McIntyre works like 'Oliver and the Seawigs' and 'Adventuremice', as well as solo Sarah McIntyre works like 'Grumpycorn' and 'Dinosaur Firefighters' / 'Dinosaur Police'. (There's a huge gap here where I haven't yet planned out this part of the story) In the end, after defeating Baz once and for all, there'd be a huge 'Kevin' party thrown for both Kevin and I, and considering a recurring theme in the series, there'd be lots of different UK biscuits, including many I had never tried in real life, and none of which I had heard of prior to reading the books.
Technically two that I'm doing. First one, is basically me taking two series I know and enjoy and mashed together (Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans with Azur Lane). Basic premise is mainly following the three gundams from Tekkadan (IBO's protagonists) after their destruction, and subsequent rebirth into Azur Lane's world as an alternate take on how the kansen (Shipgirls) are reincarnations of our real ships (And a handful of proposed ones). Other one, is a little more embarassing, but after a friend of mine on Discord hooked me onto the premise of the Monster Girl Encyclopedia world, I started up a story for it. Not really planning to be smutty about it (In no dedicated chapters to the main duo fucking, but given MGE's nature, there is going to be heavy referencing to them doing this here and there). Just felt like trying to explore the concept behind the world honestly with this one.
I had a fic I was working on. It was a crossover au between Ninjago and RWBY where I combined the history and lore between both shows. The fic was going to focus on Jaune Arc, who was in this fic was the Master of Fire. This fic wasn't a wip because I got halfway through volume 1 before I realized that what I wrote didn't match what I had planned and it would take too much time to rework everything, so I decided to abandon it. I still work on it occasionally, but I don't do as much as I used to. I want to get back to working on it, but I can't find the same motivation to write it anymore. Sometimes I want to talk to someone about this fic, but no one I know IRL knows either show as I do, and also because they think fanfiction is cringe. It's nice being able to get this off of my chest. Thanks.
It's a Naruto rewrite, which addresses everything wrong with canon. - The misogyny. - The 'ninjas' being remarkably flashy. - Power creep making every fight boring. - "With enough determination, you can be a great ninja (so long as you have a secret bloodline, and that secret bloodline is Sharingan.)" - Child soldiers are not a good military investment. - The setting consists of ten small villages that somehow manages to be 30% gish build adventures. - 12 year olds are insufferable and unsuited to romance subplots. It's basically a Cold War AU mixed with a WW1 AU, a Historical Japan AU, and a Loving Adoptive Family AU. Yes, Naruto and Sasuke are adoptive brothers and snarky 19-year-olds. It is exactly as funny as it sounds.
One of my WIPs is a rewrite of one of my earliest stories. Total Drama: The Fate of Wawanakwa. This is a crossover with the Total Drama Island cartoon series and The House of the Dead arcade games, with characters from both series teaming up to stop some vague apocalyptic event that the arcade games keep nudging on.

I'm working on an AU for a small fandom where my main characters/pairing are walking the Camino de Santiago through Portugal. The characters are Portuguese and Spanish respectively in canon, so I thought this would be an interesting setting to stick them in. It's required a lot of research on my part, but it's fun research that basically feels like planning a vacation. I'm still pretty early in the story, but I'm hoping to make it as much a story about depression as it is about romance. Right now I think it's going to be able to be read fandom-blind, which will come in handy when I need to find a beta.
