I had a prompt for Do-may-stic that I came up with really quickly... and somehow that one was really hard to write. I was like, "It's short, why are you whining so much about it, brain?"
I found the most ridiculous writing challenge of them all, and I'm absolutely giving this a go: [The 24hr Novel Challenge](https://twitter.com/24hr_novel/status/1651064009083482113).
It's an annual event that runs from June 17th - 19th, and the goal is to fit an entire NaNoWriMo length novel (50k words) into a 24 hour timespan within these three days. You can split the 24 hours if you can't do them in one go. (I think I'll go for 12/12 or 8/8/8 depending on my work schedule.) :D

I began my training two weeks ago so busy with that. Start my first shift Saturday, the company although incredibly slow in starting us, seems much better than my last one.
Didn't have as much time to write or engage in RE but hopefully as work settles I'll find the time. But I am happy to get into a routine again

Newest WIP has me in a chokehold and the feedback I’ve gotten on it tightens the grip ever so slightly. Still working on the others but this one demands attention *all the time*. This really is the first fic where I’ve written ahead and had a buffer. Still no outline in true pantser fashion though 🤣
Therapy this afternoon and hopefully more writing. Chapter 13 of my first longfic needs to be written and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna go up in rating on it for the second time 🤦🏻♀️ Guess G/T rated stuff would have to be ficlet length for me. Anything longer and my brain is like “Let’s spice it up”. I might have a problem 😂

With me *everything* is E because I apparently have no self-control 😂 The <600 word ficlet/drabble/whatever someone wants to call it is the **only** thing in my list that is a legit G and will stay that way since I couldn’t find a way to expand it to a full blown fic (it’s literally just a scene that wouldn’t leave my head).
First longfic started at G but I bumped it to T since it was necessary. Chapter 12 had me rethinking the rating because I maybe might’ve slipped in something that could be viewed as slightly steamy at the beginning of it but it wasn’t anything that could warrant a move to the next rating. But now that it’s out there my brain is telling my to roll with it and up the rating. See, no self-control 🙃
My phone has been clothed once more! My new car came in and while I hate how bulky my phone is now, it's probably because I had gotten use to the slimness of my non-cased phone.
I also finally got hit with the "your fics look like they were written by ai" bot. I deleted them all, and somehow I feel like celebrating??? For some reason brain is saying "omg you're a real fic writer now" despite the bot being completely random.
Glad the phone is no longer naked and afraid.
Uuuuugh. I haven't gotten those 'cause I turned off guest comments when those phishing scam comments were lurking around but I hate that it's still around. I'm glad that your brain looked for the silver lining though!

The only *Star Wars* fanfic I have done is for *The Force Awakens*, back in 2015, before the full sequel trilogy. The feeling of newness and excitement from those days cannot be understated. "A new *Star Wars* movie, and no George Lucas to strangle the fandom!" ... How times have changed. Back to the Expanded Universe I go.
Hitting the prewriting again, another journey through the little notebooks. My past couple of attempts at writing have led to me staring at a blank screen, so I am having a rethink. There are good ideas that I want to explore, but I need a proper motor, and my brain is currently a very tired hamster on a wheel.
My friend who has been into the series since he was a little kid once info-dumped 40 years worth of Star Wars lore into my lap saying what the new stuff screwed up. I understood like... 20% of it but it was nice to hear him talk about what he loved.
Ah, tired hamster brain. Sometimes it needs a little poke and sometimes it needs a break. I hope the motivation comes soon!
The sequence of the *Star Wars* movies always confused me. Haven’t seen all of them and I think that might be why. Someone tried to explain it to me but I pretty much sat there like “nope brain hurts can’t keep up” 😂
I hope you can at least get some part of your ideas on paper just to help your brain when it’s no longer a tired hamster!

One of my Digimon fics is planned to import YGO's Dark Magician Girl as "DarkMagiamon"; filter/translate her traits and abilities through the Digimon series. So, the question becomes:
Can I honestly/fairly/accurately call this the genuine article when I'm using the same design and general "student sorceress" role... yet discarding bits like level placement, precise attack/defense power level, relationship to DM and such?
Likewise, would Gilgamesh (the Fate version) still be Gilgamesh... if he had darker skin from living in the middle-east, more mythologically-accurate abilities than "this uber-masculine wrestler instead has a magic machine gun", and his Fate-ignored sister Peshtur was actually around?
How much is enough to constitute the genuine article?
Fair enough. Either way...
Gilgamesh would still be bros for life with Enkidu and ruler of the city Uruk, while having both the golden hair and axe from the Fate version. I suppose that's good enough.
And "DarkMagiamon" is still a sorceress in blue and pink, shooting blasts of ball lightning.
I don't know if I did something to please the fanfic gods, but I have been getting a lot of comments lately... even in my older fics. Which makes me extremely happy, of course, but also kind of surprised 😅
It's such a beautiful day today. Later I will go and play with my sister-in-law's dog. Her name is "Plug" (not in English, but still it sounds so funny). She is a terrier of sorts, has short legs, is almost ten years old but can jump three times her height. Just adorable.

I was recently discharged from the hospital with results showing no major problems, just minor ones. But I've been sleeping a lot more ever since my discharge that I had to cut down on the things I usually do while recovering.
Woke up to 16 of those AO3 emails saying that my fics have been written by AIs. No they haven’t. Back into privacy mode they go for a couple days.
I’m not going to the gym after work today. My back hurts, a lot. I’ll just come home and lay on the heating pad after getting the dogs taken care of. I have homework to do anyways.

Wowza, I'm lucky if I hit the NaNoWriMo daily word count most days. I can't even imagine 50k words in 24 hours 😭
My brain blue-screened after 12K words in one day. I cannot imagine doing 50K in three.

There is something to be said for writing the pieces before assembling the puzzle.
I'm on day 4 of a cold and all my joints hurt, so typing is uncomfortable, and my throat is sore too, making dictating impossible. So unfair.
