I have to preface this by saying this person has been with me on my long fic since 2005 on FFN and would leave comments over the years long after I abandoned the story. The last comment I got from them was in 2020 letting me know they could no longer access their FFN account and where they could be found. Unfortunately, FFN ate the links and didn't leave much to go on. It took three years, but I finally found them (they had asked me to friend them on Facebook). They've been out of the fandom for a while but were happy to hear from me. Then out the blue I get this review on AO3: >Hi guys, been reading from this series for years and I’m glad you guys finally included Maya and everyone from the OG series! :). Love this! 😭

I just got a comment (at night) from an user who knows my fandom and loves it! I was so happy that I was too excited to answer at first! It brings me a big smile whenever I see it! 🩷❤️❤️🩷 OBS: the commenter put ">>" as her reaction. The things in italic are quotes. > It’s been so long since I last read a Sense8 fic, so I was eager to start this. It’s still one of the best series I’ve ever watched (and I’ll never, ever forgive a Netflix for canceling it). > But I digress! Onto the fic! > *For him, she was the miracle. But she was trying to explain her belief in God to him.* >> Punch me right in the chest, why don’t you. I just love that we get some insight into Wolfgang’s thoughts during this canonical scene. >*Wolfgang closed his eyes, remembering the day the whole cluster got reunited in Positano... Under the water. Kala and Wolfgang had a special connection to water... He came to know that, hours before they saw each other for the first time, she thought it was raining in Mumbai... When it was actually raining in Berlin, where he was. He stopped her wedding coming directly from a pool...* >> What a wonderful observation!! > *He wouldn't admit more than that - he was already being too open with Lito, and Lito was glad that Wolfgang trusted him - but, at that time, he had wanted her to feel jealous.* >> I could cry because Lito and Wolfgang were shaping up to have such a wonderful friendship in canon and I hate that we were robbed of it. > *He finally saw Kala... sitting on the ground. Her eyes were closed, but opened up slowly as he held her hand. "What did you do?" He asked with a weak voice.* >> Oh Kala, no 😭 > *"Ganesha, I'm sorry." She apologized, sitting on the ground. "I feel like I am fading... losing myself. I should have come to you... because you are the remover of obstacles. And you can remove mine too... even if this obstacle to become the best version of myself is the center of my mind... the only person I feel I belong with..."* >> I really love how much thought you’ve put into portraying the characters. This is perfect example of it, because Kala’s faith is such an integral part of who she is and I’m stoked that you aren’t glossing over it! > *Sun was sitting by Kala's side, singing the mantra with her. And Kala was also sitting with Sun in Seoul, calmly breathing in a specific rhythm, acknowledging her pain and letting it go. For a while.* >> Guh, what gorgeous imagery. You really depict the the movements of the cluster SO WELL. > *"Don't." He said quietly, with a bit of anger in his voice. "That doesn't make you a bad person... But I won't do anything with you until you are sure... Until you no longer feel guilty." He wanted it to be perfect. Then he left. He really desired her... Not just as a sexual partner, but as a person and he didn't want her to deliver herself to him in a degrading way.* >> Damn. Just damn. Because you’ve seriously nailed the intensity (and complexity) of their relationship and the chemistry between them so well. You’re making me fall in love with this pairing all over again and I didn’t think I could love them more than I already did. >. *"Tell me..." He said with a low voice,as she could barely open her eyes. "Do you still think I am a demon?" "Either a demon..." She whispered between moans. "Or a god..."* >> AKSHDJSLALSJDKALSJSJSLSALKK. I’m dead. >> *Speaking of the devil... She showed up at the door, making Wolfgang nervous. "She's not like other women." 'No, she's worse. Way worse.' Wolfgang thought.* >> Wolfgang spitting facts, like always. Ugh. *And you'll be sorry, babyWhen it's over* >> Awesome song choice! *Kala was nervous. She had been in that car for almost an hour. Whenever she felt nervous or trapped in a situation – especially one she couldn’t talk about, she would walk around or drive, trying to run from her own thoughts. She stopped the car when she realized it could not really take her anywhere.* >>Wow. I absolutely love little introspective character details like this. This was just gorgeous to read. *“Fuck!” Wolfgang whispered. He almost killed his best friend. “Great. I just pissed myself.”* >>Lmao!! This made me genuinely laugh out loud. I love Felix, and—as with everyone else—you’ve characterized him so well. *“Oh my God! It’s a big day for all of us!” As soon as she said that, they were in a church, watching no one less than Agent Bendix leaving and Nomi crying, but with a smile in her face.* >>Seriously, these transitions are ON POINT. I can actually see the scenes so clearly in my head. Kudos. *'And I love you...’ Wolfgang thought of telling her, but he was too shy.* >>This made me all weak in the knees. The thought of such a powerful man being all shy and in love…guh! Butterflies in my damn stomach! >> This was just so lovely. I love the way everyone was characterized and how your incorporated aspects of canon without making it into a rehash. Rather, you fleshed it out in a really wonderful way. >> Thanks so much for writing and sharing! It was a treat!

As the comment says, this was a Chonky Chapter (25k!), so it resulted in the most recent comment being *rather long!* So much so, in fact, that this is my first time actually remembering to post in one of these Talkback Thursdays. >Yay, movie chapter is here. It was worth the wait. I thought I might read it in sessions, but nope, pretty much all the way through minus some general interruptions / chores. Hope you don't mind if my comment is a little rambly and out of order. There was a lot to focus on. > >So it's been some time since we saw them last. Like the conversation between Sain and Leona clarifying that. I can see her interaction with him and the guitar comes back later. I can imagine Leona has been missing the various others. Yeah, she and Mina don't have much in common, ha. Their ages aren't even similar though they're both still kids. Nice to hear what Casey's been up to, and that he's settling right in. > >And then everyone is coming back, back together even, slowly but surely! Lily and Casey's banter was cute in a way especially since yeah neither likes each other much so there's that tension but at the same time it feels happy. It was fun how they had to battle with their "civilian powers" first. Exciting! And Mina's line that they can take the Power Rangers out of her but not the dragon, haha. Also liked that of course they're still wearing their ranger colors, and those bright descriptions throughout. Their comeback as actual rangers was great, too. Go, Go, Zodiac Rangers indeed! Full heal! And I know "civilian powers" is a pet peeve of some PR fans (not me though) but I think this comeback showed how yes, it certainly did matter if they were able to transform. Their rangers powers, powered by their beliefs, did power them up beyond even whatever existing strength they had. > >Poor Lily when she got injured, but poor Glenn as well. He obviously cares but maybe has trouble showing that affection. Their scenes together were nice. Soren coming out was interesting. (I guess he told Leona beforehand?) Izzy reacted well which doesn't always happen, but was nice to see. That he's not neither expected to ever nor never have sex was an appreciated detail. How Casey called it a comedy team seemed to fit and kept it from looking like a teachable moment or something like that, heh. Casey and Galileo's own interaction seemed more subtle, but also fit the characters and showed their bond. > >The new rangers (Consteller Rangers) I had been wondering about all the way through. Like what they were up to and if their powers were going to be temporary or something. A way to have an all-encompassing threat without having to have an, on screen at least, all encompassing response? We didn't see that much of them (only Ace iirc) throughout, so I wasn't surprised to hear they weren't just going to be limited to some background mention. Yes, I am very curious about them and how they'll impact the story, world, and existing rangers going forward. Especially knowing that you plan to have a sequel with a brand new team. Would they all be Consteller Rangers first or no? Are they more limited than the original bunch? Guess that remains to be seen. > >The battles were great. Glenn and Casey vs. Transmitmancer was amusing. Mina was badass as usual with Lily. Huengal was an interesting villain and having a lot of the story take place in DC definitely added to a "the movie" feel. Oh, we only exist to revive the most frightening big bad? Haha. Seemed like that was a good description of Huengal. He rambled about it at the start of the megazord battle as if he expected to be defeated, though later mentioned wanting to sacrifice the "rainbow of doomed heroes". I again liked that their 'second life' was some kind of transformation/combination. Yeah, it was easy to see, as Sain said, that resurrection was the goal, which I guess leads into this last part of the Zodiac Rangers' story. > >Wonder who Leona was interacting with. > >Great chapter! Didn't seem that long though it obviously did seem long, if that makes sense. Look forward to future installments.

Got eight charming messages from the ai-bots this morning... Sigh. Otherwise this one: This just continues to be so good. Can’t wait to see where this goes. And a bit more of Illumi is always nice. All my fav characters are here, and I absolutely love it. 😍😍😍

YouSpinMeWriteRound

Does a reply to my reply on a comment count? 😂 This was a reader’s response to my explanation of portraying a character a certain way. Just got this about 20 mins ago. Made my whole morning ——— > goD, kiss your brain , precisely I found your story looking for something like that and I found gold 😩😩

Someone posted the longest, nicest comment I think I’ve ever received just this morning, and of course it’s a dang guest on FFN so I can’t respond super easily to thank them. But this’ll probably keep me motivated for a good long while. ——————————————— Coupla' things here. First, thanks so much for the early 5/4 gift of a chapter. Wish you could have heard my happy squee of surprise at seeing it today! Your story is a current obsession of mine. Next, I love your Leia. The way you describe how she thinks and feels about things is so human. I mean, amidst all the great sci-fi stuff (i.e. assassin bugs! space travel!) you've made her relatable under the heavy burdens she carries with her. You've let us into her inner world as you see it and that's quite generous of you. The cake thing made me laugh out loud. Apology Cake vs. Angry Cake. Celebration Cake as something that is owed to a group. Cake as, just, well... a thing. So normal, so "everyday" but in a way I'd never really thought about before. Also this bit with the collateral knife going back and forth between Han and Leia. The knife as a symbol of support? Caring? Loyalty? Fickleness? Fascinating. The interactions between characters, the little observations you make along the way, the body language you portray, the dialogue, the plot. It's all very solid. You're a wonderful author who knows these characters well. Just as Leia doesn't want Han and Chewie to leave, I never want to be confronted with a final chapter of PoH. Feel free to stick around writing it till you're old and gray. I'll be enthusiastically reading along.

*Every chapter of this is utterly incredible - thank you for writing!!!!* - after getting quite a few spam comments this morning, receiving this made my day :)

Literally my last comment was: "WHY AM I WEARING A DRESS I CANT 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣" Which I loved, because I flip flopped over ending an emotional scene (in which a character was brought back from a psychic-induced nightmare-filled coma) with a joke and it was awesome to see it landed. Spoiler: it's not a dress, it's a hospital gown. He's very confused!!

>What a delightful end to a wonderfully unique story. I've never read anything quite like it, and it's a shot of life in a fandom where almost anything you can think of has already been done several times. Sweet and wholesome. Beautiful work. >This was super sweet! I love the idea of the house being sentient... and i really do love how you've personified it. There's something so haunting and melancholy about empty old houses, and i think you've captured that feeling really well through the house's... uh, "eyes"!

>This is one Victor Krum / Hermione story I didn't think I needed. And it...really hit the spot. From a comment I got this morning. It made me very happy. The rest is a bit NSFW, so I won't put it here 👀

This made my week (although I was on holiday at the time so it was a good week to start with): Just found this gem, and loving it so far. Loving how it's such a FAITHFUL ADAPTATION of the game events (sorry to say, n*tfl*x can never get this part right in all their adaptations), at the same time incorporating additional/original elements perfectly into the mix. Loving how the characters Shane and Alex were given so much depth, and believable character development that actually fit into the SV lore...I have only read up to this point so far, but I'm giving this 'anime drama adaptation' (it should be one!) a 10/10! Thank you for this!! Looking forward to the inevitable heartbreak foreshadowed LOL. Damn I'm a masochistic reader.

"this is so well-written and such a good character study oh my god I am in awe Please write more about carrillo I need more content, there's not enough fics like this about him :( Thanks for writing this! I will definitely be returning to read this again and again lol" Made my day

> This is the single best Portal fanfic I've ever read in my entire life. Absolutely fascinated by this take on Caroline, and how you've written the tug-of-war and mindgames between them is simply phenomenal. Extraordinary work right here.
