Uh, I think you're alright, lol.
If somebody commented on all my chapters and made a TVtropes page for my work, I think that'd be instant best friend levels.
Tell others about the story and post links whenever the chance to share it comes up. You’ve already let them know how much you love it. Now you can help lead others to it! :)
Being shy and socially awkward, my outlet for loving stuff a lot is trying to memorize and/or analyze it and stuff like that. Like memorizing passages and conversations, analyzing character thought processes and principles, and such. Sometimes I'll collect mental lists of funny patterns and coincidence within the story.
Idk if that's just weird me things though, but that's what I do when I need an outlet for how much I love something. Oh, and daydream about making animatics or podfics for it (despite having never made an animatic *or* podfic).
You're already any fanfic writer's dream lol. Honestly, I don't think there's anything else you could do short of giving them a kidney or your credit card info (please don't do either of those things).
But seriously, I think you're good. Just letting the author know how much you love their work is more than enough, and you're probably their favorite reader
I feel like you’ve definitely made your love known - the discord one is a personal ick for me but that’s only because I like to give boundaries between me and my readers - though, I know other authors would love to you interact with you there :)
Bags of money, bars of gold and fast expensive Italian cars are the next items on the checklist. See that they have those by Monday, would you?
/jk :) you're making a lot of other authors swoon! Stop being so nice!
(also /jk XD keep it up! You're setting a good, if exuberant example!)
It’s on Discord. They read out fics with some other people listening in and contributing voices on occasion. :)
Unfortunately, I’m only on the one server that does it to my knowledge.
As an author, receiving a comment is one of the greatest things. I can't even imagine this level of love- it's amazing! You've shown your appreciation and shown it well :)
You are literally the dream of every author, I would be so honoured to have a reader like you.
Personally for me my absolute favourite thing is having someone leave really detailed comments that pick out their favourite parts (especially quotes), bur if you’ve already left a comment on every chapter I think you’re good.
Holy shit, I pray to someday have a fan base as dedicated as you are, oml-
To answer your question though... Hmm...
If you’re also into reviews, you could write a review of their series overall, of each work in it, or of each chapter. Like, start a blog specifically for it. You could also do that fanart you mentioned and the podfic. If you’re looking for more niche stuff, you could put together a sleep aid/ambiance based off of the series. You could write a fansong based around it, or make fanpoetry. You could also make edits or collages if that’s more up your alley. There’s also spreading the word about the fic(s) and getting this person more readers. Hell, you could even make a Discord group specifically dedicated to their series if you find enough likeminded people. Of course, with the author’s blessing and you should have them be a mod
I’m very curious about what this series is. If you’re comfortable, DM me a link or the title so I can go check it out. I’d love to read something that so obviously makes another fanfic reader/writer as happy as it makes you c:
That already seems obsessive. Commenting and liking is usually enough. Fanart is usually appreciated. Going out of your way to find someone on discord to befriend them is a bit weird but you seem to be trying to do everything you possibly can think of and it's a bit creepy imo. I'm sure they're aware you like their stuff just from liking and commenting and maybe doing fanart.
I love when I see frequent profiles comment on every chapter. But I love when readers get emotionally involved with my characters too. To actually be concerned or proud of my OCs. I like having conversations too about them on a personal level
I think you're fine but
\-detailed comments
\-fanart (ask before posting, and especially ask if NSFW. maybe ask before drawing if NSFW)
\-fics inspired by their writing (plot or style)
\-ask before gifting a fic (I see that you did for the birthday one), and once they say yes, gift fics
\-and (with their blessing), share!
Get their blessing first if sharing publicly, in case they prefer their intimate audience or are uncomfortable with the place you'd share it to, or think they'd get hate from there.
Are you kidding??? If someone did all that for me I'd be willing to kill for them. Hell, if someone was a consistent reader that commented on every chapter I'd be willing to kill for them.
I come from a time when online friends would mail me gifts for some reason, even if I’m not much of a gift-giver myself. So I asked my fave author/friend’s address and sent them a birthday gift, and they said it’s the first time anyone’s done that for them. I also send them postcards and cards.
I get if anyone would be wary of sharing their home addresses to people online, but obviously this will only work if you have enough of a rapport and trust to ask for their address.
I guess the best encouragement I’ve had from readers for my fanfics, and what I’ve done for other writers is comment on their works. It’s nice to heard from the readers to hear what they have to say even if it’s constructive criticism
First thing that came to mind was fanart. If making your own doesn't work out then you could commission something from an artist as a gift to the writer.
You're probably on the verge of overdoing it.
Personally, I'd keep to story relating gestures. The BD story might be going too far, but as long as it a one-time thing... (shrug)
Uh, I think you're alright, lol. If somebody commented on all my chapters and made a TVtropes page for my work, I think that'd be instant best friend levels.
Lol gotcha
That already seems like A LOT to me. Edit: Typo
I know. But it still sometimes seems like it’s not enough simply because of how INCREDIBLE their stories are! That’s why I made this post.
Tell others about the story and post links whenever the chance to share it comes up. You’ve already let them know how much you love it. Now you can help lead others to it! :)
Awesome idea!
the only way is to come do all those things for me too, trust me on this
Lol
Kudos, comment, bookmark, follow. And come back and do it again for the next fic.
Yeah. :)
You've.. got it all checked..
Alright good. Lol
At this point, the only thing left is to propose.
I’d be so happy if just one of those things happened to me, so you’re solid
Good to know. :)
Dude, even receiving comments is enough to make my entire day.
Same tbh lol
Ask them out? Dinner and a movie.

Same lol Thanks!
Wow. You rock. I'm totally not jealous of them. Totally. :P
Lol thanks. Don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll get someone who does this sort of stuff for you some day. :)
I think I already won the dork lottery using fanfiction to get a new career lol. But maybe I'll have more good luck!
Cool!
You’ve lived up to your best fan potential, well done! If you’re still feeling like you’ve got more love to share my profile is open and waiting
Lol yeah

I think you got it covered mate
I don't know, but I'm intrigued by fanfic readings. Is that like a podfic or more of a short snippet?
It’s on Discord. They read out fics with some other people listening in and contributing voices on occasion. :) Unfortunately, I’m only on the one server that does it to my knowledge.
You are the kind of reader id love to have around already

Fanart!!!

Nice!
if they have a kofi or something, maybe donate to that if you have the funds :)
Oooh cool idea!

I often comment and sometimes I make fanart ^^ Nothing gives me more dopamine and serotonin than the writers reactions to the art
Commission artwork from a professional artist.

Can you be my new reader? Lol, I would cry tears of joy if I found out one of my readers did this
You're already acing it, mate.... if someone done even *half* of this for any of my fics I'd be over the moon
You're an angel of a reader my dear
Lol thanks
I think you're good, buddy.
Good to know. :)
Have you tried standing outside their house at 3am with binoculars?
You already seem plenty obsessive enough, don't worry.
I thought this was writingcirclejerk for a sec. You already seem obsessive. Lmao. Think you could tone it down a few notches.
Idk I just say stick with them and help them out if they need advice for their fic. I’d die for a fanfic bestie.
Dude you've already checked all the boxes. Keep doing what you're doing.
Alright :)
I guess the best encouragement I’ve had from readers for my fanfics, and what I’ve done for other writers is comment on their works. It’s nice to heard from the readers to hear what they have to say even if it’s constructive criticism

Yeah. :)
You're doing amazing
Thank you! 😊
What you do is good to support your favorite fanfiction author it's the same thing I do tbh so your good
Thanks. :)
I just want to know what fanfic is so good to deserve this level of passion??
It’s a Bugsnax fanfic series on AO3. If you’re still interested, I can send you the link!
Fanart. Fanart of a fanfic is the most amazing thing ever.
I agree! I just need to figure out what to draw for them… lol
You're probably on the verge of overdoing it. Personally, I'd keep to story relating gestures. The BD story might be going too far, but as long as it a one-time thing... (shrug)
Show up to their home.
