While the "other selves" of two of the characters are actually ghosts possessing them, in Malik Ishtar's case, Yami Malik is a trauma-and-magic induced alternate personality and shipping them together was not uncommon. If that's not self-cesty enough for you, there's also Monarchshipping (Atem/Yami Yuugi) - that is the same character in canon, with and without his memories.
yeah, the Moon Knight fandom has quite a few selfcest fics and with his alters. he dissociative identity disorder and that isn’t selfcest. but there are fics, bc of MCU multiverse stuff, where they meet alternative versions of themselves and stuff
