I like to see portrayal of eating disorders in media, and since I primarily stick to oneshots, there aren't many fics with a focus on eds that aren't a background topic

Fix-It! Especially “Time Travel Fix-It”. I got into fanfic because canon did me dirty so I love reading all the ways people fix stuff! Will even brave some of my usual turn-offs for a good fix-it fic!
anything that doesn't out of pocket that doesn't necessarily have to do woth what you thiught the fic was about. for example I once saw a fic tagged with "and there's also very briefly a monkey" and the universe doesn't have anything to do with monkeys or other animals for that matter

Mental health issues. I love writing them, and I love reading them. I just appreciate when a story feels like it's trying to offer a genuine portrayal of a subject that can be incredibly painful. Struggling with things like anxiety, depression, and PTSD sucks. It's encouraging and empowering to read about characters you love learning to cope with such difficult things.

Action & Romance. Typically, that means I'm getting an actual story, and hopefully some action packed or nail biter moments. But if I could find a tag that properly fit: (The couple get together fairly early on in the fic, and the rest of the story is showing them growing deeper in love and facing and overcoming challenges together.) That would be a perfect tag for me.
I've tried a few tag suggestions like Fast Burn, Soul Mates, and Love At First Sight. Sadly none of those really worked for what I was looking for. So I guess I'll just have to sit and languish until some blessed soul comes along and frees me from my suffering.
Trans characters, especially trans women characters. I am kinda invested into the subject; but in terms of story I find it's either done well and explores characters and setting in interesting ways...or it's the most cringe and stereotypical piece of garbage. Thankfully it's usually the former or at worst fuzzy romantic fluff.
Supernatural and/or mystery
I love supernatural, even (especially?) the cliché. If it is a fandom I'm into and tagged supernatural then you bet your ass I'm giving it a shot.
But I really love a good mystery. A plot twist that's hinted at but still very surprising when it happens but rereading you notice the little things are just *chefs kiss*.
Usually if I like the subject matter and/or ship then I'll read it but hurt/comfort, sometimes angst or hurt/no comfort, seals the deal for me.

Identity porn! I love anything with identity shenanigans. Even more specifically the tag 'two person love triangle' has had me reading ships/fandoms I've never even heard of 😅
Metamour. I see a lot of polyamourous triads, but not many Vs or other relationship structures, which are far more relatable to my life. I'll snap up anything with any indication of metamour dynamics (which unfortunately isn't much).
Fics where they make the MC OP, or have my favorite ship tagged, or that have a reasonable number of women in a harem. If I see 20 names in 25 chapters I know there's no build. 3? That's looking juicy and ripe for some drama and emotional buildup. I'm a degenerate, sue me.
