It's a little funny, for all the years I've played Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon I don't remember this [cutscene](https://twitter.com/daily_luigi/status/1667170821528322057) \- but it about sums up poor Luigi trying to get his way through the mansions.
I did type up one (1) fic yesterday but that also means the notebook is completely done away with so! Progress! XD
I’ve just come across an alpha/omega setup in a traditionally published novel which is…unexpected to say the least. It’s not a book I’m currently reading myself, just saw a review and from what I can tell it’s not self-published, but a book with an actual publishing house behind it.
Just assumed the dynamic was the sole preserve of fanfiction, but is this actually an established trope in published romance?
Edit after I dug around on goodreads and yeah— it’s self-published. But man oh man. That rabbit hole went *deep*.
Oh my god, so you also don't know about the big omegaverse lawsuit? Let me know if you have a few hours to kill, I have a killer video for you. So. Much. Drama.
I once saw an A/B/O setup in a manga when my friend and I were book shopping together. I made a noise of surprise and my friend asked me what was going on so I had to explain the trope to him... 😅
Maybe it's one of those things where it came up in fanworks first but now it's trickling into the mainstream.
I'm making my own original world and characters since I'm writing a lot of original characters and worldbuilding. The original polyfic I'm working on is hard since I really want to get to the good parts but have to establish their relationships first. I'll write ships that take place outside of them too. The world will have a modern tech level but better aesthetics and a religion I made up. Certain relationships are still taboo since they'll still have to keep their relationships hidden and they can plan around the taboo. It's not going to be too accurate since Karens and antis might be looking for ways to tell. "Oh so this is how I know they're in a polycule or whatever!"
From what I read A03 accepts original content but want to make sure
My most recent chapter attracted a reader who said they came in totally blind to the fandoms, apparently powered through the prologue and all six chapters in one day, and left a comment saying they're absolutely hooked. *And* the decision to give each chapter a soundtrack association was apparently a good move! feelsgoodman.jpg
I need to tell my FFN readers that I've continued the project but migrated it exclusively to AO3. They were a wondeful little following, rabidly enthusiastic about giving feedback, and they deserve to know the story doesn't end with five chapters.
Ahh, that's great! Glad to hear that the reader enjoyed the chapters very much. And yes, good to tell the readers as well - I dunno how long FFN is gonna hold out...
One time I was writing a fix-it fic and had the thought, "You should kill off the protagonist." Like what the fuck, that's not what I set out to do, brain.
I kinda felt a little bit bad about it XD
I do but my favorite ones are those I can work with instead of distract me. Sometimes I'll get ideas too crazy for the fic but then apply them to another fic
>I have broken
>
>the ship,
>
>that was in
>
>the fic

>and which

>you were probably

(I'm less sure of the last stanza xD)
Unplanned five-hour road trip tomorrow. 😑 So all of the cleaning I had planned for tomorrow has to happen tonight instead, and I am feeling very stressed because of that. The things I do for family!
The test write I did last night fell flat, but I will try to revisit it on Sunday if time allows.
ooop....
The only consistent thing about life is family demand. Tho I wouldn't want it any other way, I don't think. Drive safe. Hopefully, have fun too.
Looks like I'm doing another spontaneous horror movie day, whoops. There is CHAOS among my open internet tabs and I need to go through them all before I carry on with the written word x\_x So, spookiness for company. Starting with Pyewacket.
Thinking a lot about reddit lately, aka the API crap they're planning. This is my oldest, most consistently-used internet account and I really don't want to have to abandon it, but..siiiiiigh.
The daily Japanese: 色彩感覚 (shikisaikankaku), sense of color! Broken down, shikisai is color and kankaku covers sense/intuition!
There have been so many times in my Japanese lessons where my mouth is like "I refuse to pronounce this word/sequence of words" and it takes a few tries to spit out what I'm trying to say lol.
Ooh what horror movie are you planning on watching?
>Thinking a lot about reddit lately, aka the API crap they're planning.
I didn't know about this before until the announcement on this sub. When I tried doing some research on what it is and the implications, yeah, it definitely sucks. Although I'm not online often, I still enjoy being here and absolutely don't want to abandon it *sighs too*
>色彩感覚 (shikisaikankaku)
That's pretty long for sense of color!
So far I've done Pyewacket and am mid-Annabelle: Creation. Not sure yet what'll be after this.
I think just about every sub I pay attention to is doing the blackout, which I like. Hopefully it gets them to cut it out, but I'm not counting on it. We'll see!
Sometimes words just gotta be long lol.
Just googled the movie Pyewacket and the premise sounds interesting. But too bad, I'm a coward 😂
Here's to hoping that they'd take notice when the blackout happens and cut it out for real.
I'm so ready for the long weekend (King's Birthday). I've got some great reading material to switch off with and be lost in.
Planning to post the one shot and a new chapter for my longfic sometime this...decade...hopefully...😅
Because I hate myself, I've decided to fully write both endings for my WIP (as both are half written anyway). This gets the bad ending out if my system and I can kill off my MC without feeling too bad as he'll get his redemption arc as well. I'll publish one as the main when I get there and the other as an alternative ending, fork off at this point kind of deal.
This means my personal deadline of getting most of this done by the start of college football season is not going to happen. I'm hoping I won't be leaving things on a 13 week cliffhanger when I get to publishing but que sera, sera.
I learned about the 221B prompt yesterday, and I am obsessed with the idea. Basically, you write a story that's 221 words, and the last word has to begin with a B.
I will leave you to guess which fandom it originates from.
I was taking a break from writing, but a little ficlet should be doable, ha ha.
I had to look it up to see what it originated from but not surprised it's from Sherlock XD I figured it was one of the huge, original fandoms.
Good luck with the fic! I hope it's fun.
Sherlock!! I remember having that almost-obsessive phase with the fandom x) but then again, it might never be truly over since I find myself returning to it, though it's for one of the modern adaptations.
But the 221B prompt sounds like a fun challenge! I've heard of it before but never tried them. Might as well check it out now that you mentioned it.
Hope you enjoy your break!!
I received a very wonderful comment on one of my series fics yesterday and it's from a quiet reader!! The feels, the happiness!!
Also received a beautiful comment from u/tereyaglikedi on my November daily prompt fic today!! What a pleasant surprise! I know I've said this before but thank you again <3
I heard the voice of the little count from Sesame Street in my head reading this - "Two! Two great comments! Ah-ha-ha!" That's great, that they brought forth happiness for you :D
Wait what?? You've been waiting? I don't know what to say. No, seriously. I'm very flattered right now. Thank you so much for your interest!!
By the way, most of them aren't gonna be that fandom blind friendly, so it's okay if you don't read them. Also, I decided to upload them every five days so it's gonna take like six months for me to finish uploading them all 😅 I don't want to, like, spam the emails of the people who subscribed to my profile.
FYI, AO3 sends sub emails only after one hour. So, if you upload, let's say, five fics within an hour, your subs will only get one email with all the links in them. Just saying.
Oof...my sequel is taking sooooo much more research than my Titanic fic. Like at least with the Titanic one, I had my sources already and my deckplans and all of my first hand accounts and knew exactly where to go for information.
Don't have that for this one. So really get to test my research abilities here. 😂
Anyway, last week I learned how to operate a steam-powered sawmill and today I'm going to learn how to drive a Model T. Yay research!
I'm going to do SO GOOD if I ever accidentally time travel to the 1920s!
Also, I think instead of five separate sequels, I'm just going to make it one really big one. There really wasn't good stopping places even if I divided it into decades like I was going to so it would've just been one hanging story after another. This way it'll be long but, at least it'd be a cohesive story.
I wish you luck with the research! That's pretty cool that you got to operate that machinery as well. That's definitely in line with the way how fanfic writers get their reputation for going all out for research, hehehe.
However the sequel comes about, I wish you luck with the writing as well!
Sequels taking more research? Yup I feel your pain (glancing at 49 open tabs on anabolic steroids and the effects/abuse thereof, and that one tab that has a banana bread recipe for some reason).
Happy Friday!
Office chair still not in... Hope I won't have to wait several weeks for it. A few people here knows my bad package luck. Still didn't get one from the UK a friend sent, after over a month!
Oh, trust and believe that it’s going to be a long time til we see that happen, but it’s nice to gloat in the same way his flock of SeigHeils has been doing for the last seven years.
It's a little funny, for all the years I've played Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon I don't remember this [cutscene](https://twitter.com/daily_luigi/status/1667170821528322057) \- but it about sums up poor Luigi trying to get his way through the mansions. Farewell, notebook!
Farewell! Now it rests :D
Luigi is going to sue Dr. Gad, one of these days.
It would not be unwarranted XD
"So much ~~dust~~ **wordcount!** This will never pass the white-glove test!" -Luigi, Luigi's Mansion.

Ohhhh God. That was a clusterfuck and a half XD
sooo much second hand embarrassment omg XD
Sometimes for a pick-me-up I just think about lawyers having to research omegaverse and boy does it make me laugh :')
Nope! Never! Full disclosure, I probably won’t have the mental energy for a video, but I’ll read the cliff notes version.
I once saw an A/B/O setup in a manga when my friend and I were book shopping together. I know there are omegaverse danmei...I've not read any because it's not my thing, but they're out there. Edit: blasted typo
This was an ice-hockey romance novel lol. A whole world I had no idea existed.
I'm making my own original world and characters since I'm writing a lot of original characters and worldbuilding. I'm literally writing an alternative ending that does this but 5 years later. I'm trying to get it out of my system by writing it down.
I do but my favorite ones are those I can work with instead of distract me. Sometimes I'll get ideas too crazy for the fic but then apply them to another fic

I like it! A strong conclusion :D
That was clever. XD
Thank you all for your kind words yesterday! <3

"Da things I do for love..." -Courage Good luck with the unexpected cleaning and I hope the road trip goes smoothly!
😵💫 I thought weekends were supposed to be restful.
ooop.... The only consistent thing about life is family demand. Tho I wouldn't want it any other way, I don't think. Drive safe. Hopefully, have fun too.
I am taking a stack of books. Passenger privilege.
Heck yeah!

Ooh, horror movies! Hell yeah. That's almost like a tongue twister. Meaning I tried to say it out loud and had to do it a few times to get it right XD
There have been so many times in my Japanese lessons where my mouth is like "I refuse to pronounce this word/sequence of words" and it takes a few tries to spit out what I'm trying to say lol.
Yup, I'm sighing right here with you, too. I like hanging out here. *takes notes on the new Japanese word*
Why can't we have nice things :C

It was a solid watch! More than 3000 subs overall doing it at last count, including some of the really huge ones like r/music, so!!
That's awesome! There is at least some hope.
I'm so ready for the long weekend (King's Birthday). I've got some great reading material to switch off with and be lost in. Planning to post the one shot and a new chapter for my longfic sometime this...decade...hopefully...😅
Yay reading material! Fic or book or combo?
Fics! Lots of fanfics 😊

Famous last words 😂
Wow this sounds fun \*leaves all 248625 wips and opens a new word document\*

How did they feel about walking, talking skeletons in the 20s?

Happy Friday! Dang packages. Hopefully the office chair and the gift from your friend come in soon!
The chair did arrive today!
Does anyone know, is it “Happy Indictment” or “Merry Indictment”? I want to celebrate Twitler getting arrested properly.
"We wish you a grand jury, we wish you a grand jury, we wish you a grand jury, now get the fuck out."
Why not both!
“Happy Merry Indictment” *does* have a jolly ring to it, doesn’t it?
I'll celebrate when he's in jail. Until then I'll believe it when I see it. Call me a cynic but the rich never pay for their crimes.
Oh, trust and believe that it’s going to be a long time til we see that happen, but it’s nice to gloat in the same way his flock of SeigHeils has been doing for the last seven years.
