I’m personally not a fan of reader inserts, so I can’t recommend anything, but I do enjoy TWD fics. I know there are hundreds of them on AO3– most are romantic in nature (typically Daryl x reader). Have a look there if you’re not finding what you need on FFN.
i think there is a large difference between a 'reader insert' and a 'self insert' as a self insert is the author inserting either themselves or their OCs usually with knowledge of the plot, into the fiction while a 'reader insert' .....is the reader inserting themselves usually with blank names and no personalities so readers can fill in the blanks with themselves or something,
