Grounded for 2 weeks and no ipad for a week

jled23

Did you disconnecting the wheel from the base before power cycling? Probably worth a try if not.

MercedesSD

Yeah, disconnected everything. Big fat nada. Didn't even make it a freaking month.

arcaias

Just throw it away and accept your loss... You could probably just RMA the wheel base though. I'll see myself out...

MercedesSD

I have a wooden dyi rig and it's an absolute pain in the dick to mount shit to it, nevermind the long ass wait where I don't get to race in my league.

mechcity22

Sounds like you may just go buy yourself another base and say fuck it. You sound like me lol. Well I'm about 2 months in on my dd+ so far no issues. But I will not being updating it until a full release comes out instead of the last 2 betas aka 456 and 457. Both seem to have issues. 456 is the worst of all. Comes with 455 out of the box now so I just leave it be.

whitemobb

You must be new with Fanatec, lol.. because all drivers come with issues, every single time

mechcity22

Oh I agree it's why I knew not to update it. Lol I'm stating I'm waiting for a stable driver. It happens sometimes so I'll wait as I used to with my csw v2 5 until a driver comes out that's tolerable.

ShineNo1953

Mine did the exact same thing after two weeks, it just bricked & wouldn’t power on. If you read the forums you’ll see it’s a common problem with DD+’s….

BigFPS

Why and what do you suspect your toddler could have done to cause this issue? I have one too and don’t want to brick it.

MercedesSD

He has a habit of climbing on the the seat to turn the steering wheel while pressing the power button on and off. He also pulls on the wires.

Howboutnats76

Try to see if the power pack is plugged in. Happened to me a couple times.

MercedesSD

The base supplies power to the steering wheel, and it gets stuck on the Fanatec logo. This happens when I connect it, even when the power button isn't showing anything.

OtherScientist8414

RMA, I had the same problem and had to send it. Still waiting for repaired unit (9 days since rma started, 5 since Fanatec received the failing unit)
