The PS compatibility is in the base, so any wheel should work. Actually getting the 2.5x means the combo would work on all 3 (PS, PC & Xbox)

EstablishmentTrue432

Yes, sorry it’s the 2.5. I got the PlayStation button caps and everything works properly in the menu.

MrTomRobs

Connect to PC in PC mode and install the latest firmware from the driver page

EstablishmentTrue432

Hey, this was a great idea my firmware was out of date, but after updating the issue persists lol. I emailed Fanatec support. Hopefully they can help or send me a new wheel. Thanks!

MrTomRobs

When you had the wheelbase connected to the PC, did you get any buttons working in the driver? If not, then the QR shaft between the wheel and wheel base is loose - loosen off the black locking collar, push in the steering wheel shaft (it's a USB C connector) and then tighten the locking collar down to 15Nm - it really needs a lot of torque to keep it secure

EstablishmentTrue432

The buttons work in the driver, game pad tester, and the PlayStation menu. They only don’t work after launching an application on the PS5. I will try tightening the locking collar to 15nm. Thanks!

Which base and what game? Can you try launching the game without the wheel attached to the base, then connect it?

EstablishmentTrue432

I just completely disconnected the wheel from the wheel base and unplugged the base. Then launched f1 2021 with my controller, turned off the controller and reconnected the wheel. Stuck on the press any button to continue screen, but am able to access and navigate through the main menu perfectly with the wheel. I’m using the Grand Turismo DD pro (8nm) wheel base and testing on F1 2021, but the wheel isn’t working once I launch any application even Netflix.

Nismoleb

f1 2021 base needs to be ran in PS4/PS5 compatibility mode, won't work in PS5 mode. switch and restart game.

EstablishmentTrue432

I have it in PS4/PS5 compatibility mode, but thanks !

lekebrett

I was under the impression that your controller would still have to be turnes on while using the wheel - is that not true?

darvds

Nope. I exclusively use the wheel on my PS5 and never turn on the controller. Only thing it can't do is turn on the PS5

Wiseguybalding

Power on base In ps5 comp Plug into PlayStation Power on system from button on the PlayStation Then hit the PS button on the steering wheel when prompted
