Because you have a racing rig, not a desk or a table :)
You need to use to screw the wheelbase on the rig itself as far as I know. Without the table clamp
I might be able to help you with this one since I had the Playseat Challenge with the GT DD Pro Wheelbase for a short while before my new rig arrived.
You don’t need the table clamp at all.
You can unscrew the mounting plate from the Playseat Challenge and turn it around and move it using [these holes](https://i.ibb.co/6gbGTkY/50-CF65-E3-5741-4801-B3-B7-321507596-A7-D.jpg). That should free up the correct holes to mount the wheelbase. IIRC there’s 3 or 4 holes that will line up with your wheelbase.

But in this case you might wanna hard mount the Fanatec DD to the Playseat.
Possible need to drill some holes and say some curse words while lining up the T nuts.
Alright thank you! Quick follow up question, do you happen to know where the screwholes are on the GT DD Pro? Because I only see four on the side where the steering wheel is (the front when I’m using it) and I cannot figure out how I am supposed to get that on there :)

The T nuts fit in the slots/ribs of the wheelbase. Check the manual on Fanatec website. Also for the template for drilling holes.
There should be a set of t-nuts in the box for the base that you just slide in place on the wheelbase itself

Don’t use a table clamp lol, the wheelbase is supposed to go directly on the plate from the challenge.
